Was wondering if any console ports were being planned. Now that more mmos are being made for consoles as well. As much as I love my pc I have always been a console gamer and only used my pc for mmos but it seems like nowadays that may not be necessary any more. upgrading my pc just to be able to play games is pretty expensive.

I might be wrong about this but I'm reasonably sure they were NOT planning to port CoT to any consoles, at least at launch. I suppose if things change radically in the next few years and they find that virtually no one plays games on "desktop" PCs anymore they'll probably have to change those plans.
You have a point about the relative pain of upgrading PCs to stay current for the latest games. On the other hand I'll always be able to put together a good gaming PC that'll remain superior to any console, even the new ones that just came out in the last few weeks. I'd hate to be forced to play a new game like CoT on machines that'll be at least 2+ years old by the time CoT launches. YMMV of course.

If they could make CoT like Tera where the graphics were great but was easy enough on a pc that you could play with older hardware, that would be great.

I imagine CoT will be geared so that it'll run on the "minimum standard requirements" for a PC game in 2015. The trick of course is guessing what the minimum requirements will actually be in 2015. Whatever they are they're bound to be higher than what they were a few years ago or even the minimums of today.
In any event I'm sure it'll have all sorts of settings to fine tune the graphics for pretty much any reasonable PC you want to try to play it on. Obviously as expected it'd probably have a hard time on any PC that's much older than say 6-8 years or more.

That does make sense and is reasonable.

Don't get me wrong, the KS went great, but Tera had a lot more money to burn.
Anyway, currently revealed, KS-driven plans are to have Windows, Linux, and Mac clients at launch, and Android and iOS Avatar Builder apps.
Has anyone seen my mind? It was right here...
Then I guess it will be a matter of if I have to spend alot to upgrade just to play. if I do I'm better off sticking with my ps4, once I get it. Upgrading can get expensive, especially in my case, where I don't have money to burn, hence why I am considering it and asked this question. i had to get the pc I have now in order to play newer games and even had to upgrade it further when I bought TSW since that game is very graphics heavy and caused me to crash alot. Guess will have to wait and see if I can play it or not.

Two years is a long time technology-wise. And for what it's worth CoT still has to be made, which all things considered isn't 100% guaranteed to happen yet. *shrugs*

Depending on what they target for, you might not have to update your PC for CoT. I know that the MWM developers have mentioned that they were aiming for "similar spec to CoX"...
Considering that could be any PC from the past 10 years... I think you know where I am coming from.
Just looking at the price of a PS4, I could (in the UK), build a PC rig that would be fairly decent gaming wise... granted, I would be reusing case, PSU, keyboard/mouse/hard drive (bonus advantage if you already have a legit copy of windows).
And I know someone who does the same as me, he hits ebay, whereas I buy new.
But without knowing what your PC specs are right now, suggesting if you save up to upgrade or not is going to be almost impossible.
The ps4 is for the sake of having a console to play other games and to play with my brother an some friends, since I have always been a console player and I play other games besides mmos. up until tis point I played mmos on my pc. It's a must for me.

I have no problem with that. I got a PS3 just for FF13 (and the fact that our normal DVD player was giving up the ghost)
How is FF13? I haven't played any jrpgs in years. last one I played was FF10
"In the end there can be only one" The Highlander
I enjoyed it, but the newest one that I had played previously was most of FF8... at least there are no "hidden random battles"... you can avoid as few or as many as you want (just don't run into the mobs).
I still haven;t completed it, but don't take that as a bad sign though. I have a lot of games that I have had for longer and still not completed.
Ah ok cool. :)
