Thanks to Cyclops, I was too tempted not to reach out to [url=https://pencilhead7.deviantart.com/]pencilhead7[/url] and see if I could get a character drawn for me as well.
Well I got in right before he closed commissions(for now) and am getting my character Kiyori drawn, it is currently in the sketch phase.
A little bit about Kiyori:
Birthplace: Lotus Hills
Age: 28
Ethnicity: Japanese
Powers: Devices
Rivals: The Five Dragons
Looks: She has a fairly athletic build mostly due to her competitive nature. An explosion in her fathers factory left her face badly burned which is why she wears her mask. Her masks started out crude but she being the tinkering type has now doubled her mask as a gas mask and HUD.
Personality: You would think Kiyori is very shy, but she just doesn't talk all that much, she would rather observe and listen. once you actually get to know her she is rather nice but doesn't take any BS. She expects everyone to be true to their word and she is quick to react if someone is not.
Background: After her father(CEO) died in the factory explosion, her older brother who went to school for business took over as the head of the company. Kiyori still being rather young joined the company working on and creating new tech. Over the years she proved herself and worked up the ranks and she is now CTO. She trusts and is close to her brother but they don't always see eye to eye on company decisions. She still loves creating things and she still has close connections in the lab which she uses to create her hero gear.
Fighting Style: She uses stealth in most combat situations, relying on her tech as both weapons and defense.

Very true, I really want to get a chibi done, I'm gonna try and keep watch to when he opens commisions again.
In CoH this character was Rad/Rad corrupter, but I have changed her backstory to fall in line with the CoT world, so I have been trying to come up with a signature weapon like your massive melee arms Cyclops and I've been able to come up with nothing. I've been trying to think of a creative weapon like Honey Lemon's in Big Hero 6. It doesn't help that I don't know what all the powers will be in the archetypes, so it might just come in time.
But until then, Anyone have any suggestions?

There is a Japanese vibe to this. Samurai weapons might work...but a signature weapon?
a pair of razor sharp fans? a naganata (sword on a pole arm)....a phantom whip (choose a whip as a prop, but instead of a physical whip, just use the fire aura only.) you could do that at launch. that would work with any weapon.
Hmmm a scythe would work. Or a chain launching from her sleeves.
Let me ruminate on this a bit. With Talos, I came up with the gauntlets first and built the character around the power.

Hmmm, I do like the idea of the fan.
I could so something like Temari in Naruto and have a huge fan

I was originally thinking of having almost spiderman like devices on her wrist that were multifunctional, meaning that they could spray poison gas, fire, ice, whatever canister was equipped at the time

I've always liked the concept of the giant fan, but integrating it to make sense with the characters backstory, abilities, powers, would be where it gets difficult.

Well, she survived a factory explosion...in a super world that grants all sorts of powers. like the ability to summon a giant fan...take a few ranged tertiary power that knock back the victims use NO special effects outside the fan and you have a gust of wind attack. with the fan, she can fly.
she is an air elemental.
hows that. The explosion along with whatever chemicals were used opened a brief portal to the element of air. When they sell pets (not at launch) buy an small oriental floating dragon as your spirit guide.
OK, that is the 20 second off the cuff origin update.
In her background she learned traditional dances (with fans) at the Titan City cultural center. She can still use devices and gadgets, just buy them as props for powers.

Possibly better to have the explosion grant her wind powers and the fan makes controlling/using the powers easier for her. Or the fan is a tech weapon that creates huge gusts of wind and possibly has other tricks.
There's also the idea of completely reworking the back story and keeping the name. Like how Blue Beetle has been three different characters with three different backstories. That's how I'm working taking characters to City of Titans. Changing them up, powers, backstories, names, just to shake things up a bit.

I feel like I'm probably gonna go with this! Perhaps there's a turbine that creates powerful blasts of wind inside of the fan, and it can also release poison gas, smoke, etc

I third the idea. the techno nature of the heroine fits best with Project Hero's take. If only there was a way she could use the fan to fly like that bald kid in Avatar.

Well the fan could be attached like a backpack and the turbines could act as the flying component. So it would naturally be closed up held naturally on the back, but then when it goes into flying mode the fan extends and the turbine starts up. Or I could always just use jetpack boots like Syndrome in the Incredibles, lol

I see no reason why you'd have to use a prop-weapon. Rad/Rad is perfectly rad as a powerset. She could be either a Guardian or a Ranger on Launch Day. Of the announced Power frameworks this would probably be Atrophic Blast and possibly Preservation. These could be defined in the character's Lore as clouds of nanites, or radiation, or whatever works for you. Alternately, 'Devices' is a support powerset.
She could still blend Traditional with High-Tech and use technology-enhanced Fans as her main props.
So, now you just have to request some Fans. Either https://cityoftitans.com/forum/costume-request-thread-20 or possibly https://cityoftitans.com/forum/classes-prop-objects would be good places to do so.

Those are very good points Fireheart, I'm definitely gonna have to go adjust the backstory/origin a bit for CoT, but I'll probably wait to do that til all the information is available. I've definitely put Fans out there in some thread a while back. Whether they take the request or I put it in as a Registered Lethal weapon, it will happen one way or another :3

I really like how it turned out, this will probably be the last art for Kiyori that I have done. Hopefully the character creator will come out soon and I can bring her to life! I will probably get some art done of some of my other characters though :)
