Any cool Passives people think each class should own?
Should each sub-division of a class have its own unique passive or should they all share the same?
Just wondering what people think, I personally loved the way city of heroes did it.

From the lil they've mentioned.. it sounds like every Character will have "foci" points they can use to gain different passives. IF I'm understanding right... you may see a Stalwart with Fury or a Ranger with a Scrappers Crit ability?
yeah I think they said that each main AT would have their choice of "foci" no matter your subAT desicion, but I think they also said it would be 1 of a choice of 3.
One of the things that sounds really intriguing about this project is that it sounds like they want to loosen the reins on customization just a bit. It would be really interesting to see two characters of the same type with the same broad power groups (e.g. Radiation, cold etc.) that weren't more or less copies of one another.
From a game design perspective, I like giving players so many cool toys that they have to make difficult decisions. There should, ideally, always be multiple things you really want to get your hands on. That can make it more difficult to balance, though. In this case, you have to look very carefully at the various passives and think of how the playerbase could potentially exploit them.
It occurred to me (while playing my engineer in Torchlight 2, if you must know) that it would be neat if one AT had physical manifestations of their buffs, much like the Torchlight 2 engineer has the robots (or the shaman in World of Warcraft has/had the totems). Various styles could include such things as floating lights/flames or stones, or some kind of little critters or robots (although this last could be potentially confusing with minions and pets running around, as well).
The only 'summoning' that I would see being done is whether the player wants these buffs to be visible or not.

I would like Class passives. Like the scrappers getting better crits. But also I would love to be able to choose my passive. My I want my Scrapper type to have better dodge or regen instead of the crit passive.
Crit Passive
Def Passive
Regen Passive
Extra healing to you and others Passive.
Damage Passive
Speed Passive for hitting faster.
Dodge Passive
Block Passive
Parry Passive.
Some kind of Immunity Passive. Like you dont take or absorb elemental damage.
Resistance Passive.
Range Passive ranged attacks can hit further.
elemental Attack passive like maybe enemies around you take damage. You pick what type of element
Crowd Control Passive. CCs are stronger and or last longer.

Ugh, I hope not, the scrapper crit was the most boring. Really need to be made into something more interesting.
Personally I preferred the Scrapper crit to the Corrupter scourge. I just felt awesome every time I got a crit as a scrapper. With scourge it was more a case of, oh, I guess he's almost dead.
