I wanted to make a general thread in case other people want to say other character creator ideas, though I have one that irked me with CoX.
When selecting other types of ears, the human ears should not be there (or have the option to turn off human ears).
With a few characters I was limited to only 2 or 3 hair styles that covered human ears. It was bothersome.
I'm not sure if this has already been accounted for, but I wanted to make sure.

I've already setup a Survey for such questions. And will create more when it seems appropriate.

I agree that there should be the option to turn off human ears. I don't want them to automatically vanish if you choose other ears, because the other ears might just be a part of the costume that a human is wearing.
Added 2 additional questions to the Survey for Ears.
Personally, I think the more customization options, the better. Even if I never use them, they are good to have, because others will, and it was the variety and uniqueness of my toons and other peoples toons that added to the emotional attachment to the game, and to other people. They were an actual person, not just a random choice of 8 hairstyles, 5 faces an earring and lip color.
It's been mentioned in other posts, and was an option in the survey Izzy posted, but there has been talk of child/teen body types. Personally I'm not in favor of this. I think it opens the door for too many issues, namely violence, but also possible roleplaying issues as well. I think if we're going for a T rated game, children heroes probably shouldn't be in the picture.
You bring up a good point. I had selected "Somewhat Important" for child, thinking Astro Boy. It's possible it could get a bit weird as you've mentioned. There are a number of Korean games that have a child character to select, but this being a US-based game makes it a bit of a different situation. I think it would be cool to have child heroes and villains, it's just a matter of whether the staff think it could be problematic.
We should at least have a late-teen look available.

No offense, but that is ridiculous. Most people aren't going to go all pedo because we have kid avatars. You could always make a kid in CoH, especially once they had the body and face sliders. I had a character, Lint Boy, that looked like a kid. I never had any issues. There are always going to be freaks, but that is no reason to limit the body types in CoT. Also, I am sure plenty of kids that want to play as a kid avatar as well.
Are we talking child SIZED, or child proportioned?
Personally, I HAD a couple of child characters in COH, and never ran into any problems. (OK, one of them was actually a god from Santería myth/religion... but he was still a kid.) I also had about 3 pixies, who where child sized, but certainly not children. (Actually wished I could make them smaller than COH allowed.) Again, never had any problems.
The only time I DID have someone act kinda strange/pervy around one of my characters was when I was on my genie character.

I imagine the survey includes "child" because it has been considered as an option already. I'd be interested to hear what the production team has to say about it.
CoX allowed short characters, young characters, but there really wasn't much in the way of early teen or anything like a child.
