Hello,
I spent a bit of time reading through the pages of suggestions and did not find this, but if it has been suggested before, by all means, delete the thread.
The ability to place a space between two words in our heroes/villain names was something that even in today's games is not easy to find (if at all). I much rather have a name like Lead Brick than LeadBrick, or Elite Operative than EliteOperative.
Being that in CoH/V you had primary and secondary powers, the two word names were perfect: Cold Radiant, Health Agent, Gaia the Goddess, Frozen Arctic; all of these names would not look as cool if we had no way to use spaces.
I would like to suggest for the devs to give us this option. I don't know how hard is it to code, but I know how awesome it would be to have more-than-one-word names.

Now, what would be really awesome is if we could designate weather we had a two part name or not, so an NPC could address me as "Syntax", "Mr. Error37", or "Syntax Error37" as whatever fits our relationship or the NPC's personality.

I think the reason that a lot of MMOs don't have the space is because of those people that like to make names that have inappropriate words in the name. And people will try to play the system by using spaces or various numbers or punctuations so that they can make the name. Only takes one person to ruin it for everyone.

Some of those things I think the name part of the creator should just make it a pull down menu. Then you could just add words like The, Mr, Mrs, Ms. Dr. from the pull down menu if the game wasn't going to let you use those words or let you have spaces.

I hate those MMO's that have super THIN fonts with a large size. :/
I'm more the BOLD font, Smaller Sized for names. :) With a decent Outline. 2 or so pixels?
Spaces, yes. And I also want CO style naming where character names only have to be unique to your account, not the entire server. I have no problem with an entire league named Awesome Guy. :)
I echo the OP's thought. And while it is easy to assume that most of the features from CoH would stand as a model for this game but it is probably incorrect to assume anything. As a bonafide name snob, that space made it much, much easier for me to find name I could live with.

I think that this is a big issue....I know many player out there such as myself will be A LOT of thought into they're character names and those RPers will be especially critical over name choices and something as seemingly minor as a space between a two part name that you'll be seeing throughout however many hours you put in WILL make a difference ;)

Oh heck yes... Have to allow for spaces. Several of my toons: Arthur Gordon. Hunter Riley. Son of Mandrake. The list goes on... I would hate to use _ or - or some stupid separator. :(
Having the spaces was wonderful! I had toons named Hot And Cold Running (an ice/fire troller), and Comes The Dawn... Since making a character truly your own was such an important aspect to the game, it really helped that we weren't hindered by strange and artificial naming conventions. If someone has something naughty in their name, eventually they'll get reported and generic'd.
