Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

Champions Online FAILS in PvE and PvP... Problems and SOLUTIONS!!!

sorry my english it is my second language, i think that some ideas can come in the game BIG UPDATES

1-THEMED CHARACTERS in PvE AND PvP

- PROBLEM:
one thing i hate the most in Champions online: every GOOD Duel (1x1) PvPlayer has the SAME build with a combination of the most overpowered and most buged skills in the game.... force geyser, force cascade, ebon ruin, ascention. convivtion with a little variation with theese powers. a NON themed Frankeistein build that always win a themed char ( power armor, fire char, might char)... if you want to WIN in PvP in champions online you should forget the theme of your hero....THIS REALLY SUCKS!!!!

- SOLUTION:
I would love to see a power armor (like iron man) vs a might char (like Hulk) IN A FAIR FIGHT in PvPduel, i want to see a FIRE themed guy against an ICE char... a ranged vs a meele.... a BALANCED THEMED PvP and PvE

4 BASIC CLASSES: MEELE, RANGED, HYBRID and SUPPORT
after you choose the main class you can choose the powers of that class...damage type, crowd control, block , heal, knock back , energy unlock....
after you choose the power you CHOOSE THE ANIMATION, FX of that power, this way you can REALLY THEME you char dont metter what power you choose to be a good PvE or PvPlayer...CHOOSE THE ANIMATION AND FX IS th key of THEME...

2- BALANCED THEMED TRAVEL POWER

- PROBLEM:
other thing i hate the MOST in Champions online, almost ALL good duel PvPlayers in Champions online have the same travel power: ACROBATICS with Versatility and TELEPORTATION.... i dont want my powerarmor doing flip jumps or somersaults to have a chance to WIN in PvP.... this SUCKS...

- SOLUTION:
i would love to see balanced themed travel power, i would love to see my iron man with jet boots fighting a superspeed flashlikechar IN A FAIR FIGHT...
balanced travel powers ( NO VERSATILITY) TRAVEL power CANOT be ONE of the most important PvP skills, like in Champions online...
i would love to see skills linked to travel power example:

Rocket punch
Superspeed punch
Flying dive bomb
Teleport multi-punch/kick
Jump an AOE stomp
Acrobatics/Parkour a jump kick/punch
Tunneling a ground bursting AOE
Grappling flying kick

this would be AMAZING

3- CUSTOMIZABLE SIDEKICK

- PROBLEM:
hate to pay for a sidekick in champions online... a uselles sidekick... Hate skins for companions on SWTOR

- SOLUTION:
i want to use a costumizable sidekick, i want to costumize cloths and skills...
But you will win MORE Experience, loot and reputation JOINING other players in groups/teams

4- TOTALLY CUSTOMIZABLE NEMESIS AND MINIONS:

- PROBLEM:
In champions online you cant use in your nemesis ALL skills that you use in your hero ... and your nemesis have NO TRAVEL POWER.... you cant costumize the minions cloths and there are only 4 minions.. what the hell!!!

- SOLUTION:
custumize my NEMESIS (ALL avaiable skills to heroes/villains + TRAVEL POWER ON MY NEMESIS PLEASE
custumize the the look of minions and some of their powers

5 - CUSTUMIZABLE VEHICLES AND MOUNTS

- PROBLEM:
hate see all vehicles in champions FLYING...hate that all vehicles have skins...and NO MOUNTS?? really. Vehicles are almost uselles in champions online

- SOLUTION:
i want a costumizable vehicle, i want to see TANKS( not hovertanks), jets, boats, motorcycles... i would love to have a TUMBLER like vehicle, i want WHEELS, I WANT MOUNTS to my Beastlike char... i wanto a motorcycle to my GHOST RAIDER!!! a CYCLE that DONT FLY!!!!
Vehicles with a PURPOSE: bikes, motorcycles, speeders for exploration... tanks, helicopters, jets for militar purposes....big aircrafts submarines for team or supergroup transportation look at new expansion on SWTOR.. the FIGHTERS are customizable...fantastic

6- CUSTOMIZABLE HIDEOUT AND SUPER GROUP HQ

- PROBLEM:
NO SUPER GROUP HIDEOUT IN CHAMPIONS, there isnt a true purpose to go to hideout, you cant RESEARCH in hideout?I WANT MY LAB IN MY HIDEOUT,.... dont make research stations in hte open like in champions....

- SOLUTION:
individual Hideout ( 1 or more per CHAR), DO RESEARCH ( upgrade my lab) inside my hideout not with contacts( champions). custumize my hideout.. 1 hideout per supergroup like justice league space station or avengers aircraft carrier.

7- RESEARCH

- PROBLEM:
no research on heroes/villains game.... or not themed research

- SOLUTION:
I love to see a customizable/upgradable workshop/lab/sanctuary/dojo for my char in my hideout with a computer...
a rune stone.. a boxing bag

EVERY char choose a Primary and Secondary research/training TREE from the 6 :

from science
- engineering (make Tech armor,tech weapons, some tech devices...)
- biotechnology (mutations, modifications to your dna, potions)

from mysticism
-alchemy (make magic amor,tech weapons,magic devices...)
- sorcery ( scrolls, spells, books,potions)

from training
- body
- mind

exemple a HULK like char will choose 1st biotechnology 2nd body, a batman like would choose 1st body, 2nd engineering (gadgets)...

DOESNT METTER too much what reasearch tree you get, this is a THEMED option to your itens
like in champions you have 9 slots for itens...remember the image of itens in champions in old times? before legion armors?
and please dont make overpowered not consumable itens like ice nades or devices that call pets.. this destroyed the devices in champions

8 - FACTIONS PvP and PvE Servers

- PROBLEM:
no factions on Champions online

- SOLUTION:
choose my server like Swtor, choose my faction like SWTOR

9 - DISTINCT PATH ( missions)

- PROBLEM:
in champions,i start another char, but the first 50 missions are ALL the same, my archer starts on a Alien invasion, my MAGE starts in a Alien invasion... WTF, my power armor starts.... ON A FUCKING ALIEN INVASION!!!

- SOLUTION:
Distict missions in the begining.... i would fell that my mage has a distinct origin than my power armor char...

SOLUTION:
missions can be linked somehow to theRESEARCH tree...
for exemple you choose TRAINMENT: body.. you will fight as a vigilant in street, against gangs, fight in dojos..
you choose engenieering.. you will fight robot armys....
your nemesis try to make you fail in missions
and a progressive mission system , in the end you fight cosmique entities... alien invasions..
you MUST JOIN other players in end game...

10- DISTINCT BALANCED STATUS

- PROBLEM:

be forced to use 2 status to be a good pvpplayer, pveplayer in a game... like in champions hate to see the HUGE CON guys, they always win pvp after RELOADED guys uses all 6 itens with CON mods ,where is the importance of other status?i am forced to use STRENGTHin my raged char to resist force geyser ( a overpowwered , ridiculous,non themed crowd control)...
and ALMOST ALL PVPplayers use aura of primal majestic to balance the other status.. it is clear that status are not balanced in this game..

- SOLUTION:
status linked to class ( 4 Class: meele, ranged, Hybrid, support) linked to the theme

Some status must be essential to the class

Strength - meele dps
Concentration - ranged dps

Reflex -dodge tank
Constitution - defense tank

Energy - energy for Hybrids ( for exemple power armor punchs, shoot lasers.. )
Dexitry - critical for Hybrids specialists like deadpool...

when you choose a hybrid class ENERGY will boost Strenght, Concentration and CONSTITUTION....
and DEXITRY will boost Strenght, Concentration and REFLEXES

This is ALL kids, this is my perfect hero/villain mmo!!! replys sugestions are welcome

I think we should lock this thread after linking back to the original thread - if someone can find the thread please do, I can't (which makes me wonder...)

Again, PVE is not an issue with CO, it is purely a question of PVP for certain players; no one cries in PVE that they can't get through the game. The argument can be boiled down to this: I want to use these powers around a theme, and if they cannot win against another set of powers, PVP is horribly broken and said users of other power selections are ruining the game and ergo the game "fails". We need strict "classes" with linear build progression to fix this issue... freedom and creativity be damned so a few can feel good about their chosen builds as now everything is "fair"... until they tire of the game and find another to get their PVP fix until that too gets old and they migrate on in and endless cycle leaving MMO's all feeling more or less the same.

Building a game around super heroes with themes is inherently "unfair"; Superman could wipe the floor with Spider-Man any day of the week for instance. Yes, we are talking a game, but it is a PVE super hero game first, a PVP playground second, but we either arbitrarily limit play to certain concepts with pre-made builds which stifles creativity and leads to long term boredom, or we jettison the idea that a superhero game build has to be "equal" at all points in play.

Just remember - CoT is in the spirit of CoH, it is not CoH!

sorry to post again the thread, the reason i post it again was that in first time there isnt no coments.. i tought something was wrong with my net, computer or log.... i am just concerned abaout the game.. i think it will be amazing.... and i am a lifetime member on champions online but i dont play anymore for one year.... too much bugs...anoying and same ALERTS ALERTS, no more real content on champions....
I hope you guys understand....

And i have 2 more wishes...

it woulb be amazing to have or not a secret identity of the hero / villain... and that should change your path in missions....

it would be amazing if the hero or villain could change his build only inside HQ.... in champions you have 6 slots for builds near the skills Keys... you Change instance itens, costumes ALL in the click of a button wile you are fighting...that is not cool... change the build inside HQ will give more purpose to HQ....

and the original thread wasnt that on the link.... the old one i deleted cause of no coments...
in this "new" thread i tryed to make better solutions for the game after reading many other threads and after a review of this thread in the link

Why I'm against Alerts, it appeals to our easy XP mentality! Which I fully admit, I'm not always swayed away from.

When CoH first came out I did the missions! The TFs! I want to do that! Not find some easy XP!

In COX PVP, there were FoTM builds and there were builds you could win a fight if ya good and build decent.
In CO PVP there is FoTM builds and builds where you can win a fight if ya good and build decent.

Then in COX the travel power expected to have was SS/SJ it was the standard for the standard PVP tactic, jousting and running around like a jack rabbit. Without it, ya was considered pvp subpar because ya "couldn't move as fast." Thus just about every single pvp build had SS/SJ travel power combination running at the same time.

Which is why I got laughed at in zones for using Sprint and Ninja Run :p

Of course, I never went in expecting to win.

I was a lifetime member on champions online i tryed over 3 years to make a descent THEMED PvP Character..... my THEMED char was amazing vs other themed chars, but NEVER WIN a round against the STANDART Frankeistein build that uses ALL the buged and over powered skills ( force cascade, foce geyser, ebon ruin, ascentition, conviction, ego surge the fucking anoying teleportation and the noob acrobatics with versatility)
in my Themed char i was using LEGION GEAR with ALL mod lv 9 ( the best equipment of the game) and ALWAYS loose...
I make an Frankeistein build in my char and NEVER LOOSE a ROUND!!!!
so everybody in lv caps is using the frankeistein build right now....
theese noobs use this frankesteinbuild in PvE too they make a HUGE damage , they are almost invincible...
what i am trying to say is that i want BALANCED Skills to see more THEMED heroes/VILLAINS
i want to fight along side a claw guy a fire guy a telepath a healer a POWERARMOR,,,
i dont care if the game will have classes,archtypes or will have freeform...
i would love to see a HUGE diversity in the heroes and villains playing the game...

CoH wasn't much different.

I was not a heavy PvPer. I just wasn't one of those players who was afraid to lose and got upset when I lost. I took a SOed out themed Regen scrapper and dueled IOed out PvP speced FoTM builds to stand stills (with the occaissional win and lose...equaled out).

So, I wouldn't say CoH was all that perfect when it came to PvP.

So, I wouldn't say CoH was all that perfect when it came to PvP.

CO and COH seem to have the same problems when it come to PVP overall. FOTM builds, certains builds will be monkey stomped, other builds are near undefeatable, same powers required, especially travel powers. In CO it's acrobats and teleport combo. In COX it was SS/SJ. and lastly, there is both on each side that swear their toon with no enhancements a total purped out (Legion for CO) geared enemy player with no travel power and won the fight only using brawl. Yes yes of course there have been cases of the super powered toon get taken out by the toon less equipped in gear but more equipped in skill in both CO and COX. Just as a lambo got smoked by a stock mustang v6 at the track. The rich dude didn't know how to shift and lost. But in reality, that doesnt mean it's balanced. If that lambo was in the hand of someone half way decent at driving, the mustang v6 wouldn't have stood a chance. Balance.

Hopefully, MWM take lessons from both and actually balance not simply switch labels of balance. It would be nice to see variety of toons that can stand a chance in each with true advantages and disadvantages, Meaningfulful across the bored not one have some disadvantage that means nothing while another set have a disadvantage that is major. Same with advantages. And COX was no better than CO in this regard. Just different players different powers, but the same type , a few combinations that are considered pvp worthy, and same type of powers that must be chosen to win. Even down the one set of travel power that is considered a must.

To add variety one must... add variety within good stuff.. If one go at it with these sets will be good in pvp, these sets will be meh in pvp, and these sets people just choose to be funny in pvp. Then yeah, it will be PVP like COX and CO. Wit hthe good sets being chosen and only crazy people choosing the other too. The easiest thing it simply make them all good for the goal of pvp in one way or another. And if it seems that "Well only a few sets can be built to be good in pvp." then it sounds like pvp itself needs more variety so different type of toons can shine instead of simple, hop around like a jack rabbit kill in two seconds with build up reds, yellows, or else head for the hills and try again like in COX. Then in those cases of course only those with SJ/SS and high damage will shine. In CO, the goal is the same and thus high damage and quick travel power to flee after a few seconds, is needed. Make high damage less focus of pvp and the only focus, then less tweak to powersets will be needed. More leaving it high damage being the only focus of pvp then more tweaking to the powersets will be needed. Balance isn't impossible, it isn't easy, it's just that no one yet had the stomach to actually try much. CO, they didn't even try much beyond the usual what everyone else did as far as balance and of course got the same result. For COX the fact that it wasn't planned in the beginning may have had an effect but I nthe end, the balance thing was again like stuff that was already tried, in fantasy games, and again got the same results. For the saying of trying differeate the super genre from the fantasy genre mmo, the makers sure do always seem to go by their rules all the time. Just because it didn't work in a fantasy game it's taken as it will never work. No fantasy game tried any other ways to balance so that means it cant be done. Fantasy games never did it like that so it cant be done. They tried it, it failed and thus it cant be done, without even thinking about how they did it and the factors that actually made it go wrong. It could be a bright idea, and simply needs some tweeks. Just because Blizzard couldn't get it to work, doesn't mean that it wont work, unless that is some sort of subtle admission that fantasy games and Blizzard is better than all super hero games. I don't think so, so lets stop doing stuff based off what they say work and don't work, and because balancing around fantasy games rules, in a genre that have different rules for balance will never ever find balance. That is like trying to stuff a BMW V12 engine into a VW Bug engine bay and still wishing to close the door. Just because BMW made it work doesn't mean it will work for the VW bug. Just because BMW couldn't match up a decent durable transmission (A-drum failure) to it's V8s in the 90s doesn't mean that there is no good transmission for any V8.

Well, I wasn't saying all builds could do that. :p Regen was just one of those builds that did well in one on one duels (my concept also called for Phase Shift...so really, just had a lot of clickies to save one's butt).

I think what people forget is, it wasn't limited to PvP. PvE saw just as many hodge podge of powers to be the best. PvE just had more leeway.
