Backstory: Claudia and her father Karl worked in bio-chemical and hazardous waste removal just outside of Munich. She was in school for her business degree and while it may have seemed like an odd occupation for a young woman Claudia wanted nothing more then to take over the company when her father was ready to retire. She had grown up in the small processing plant, named each blast furnace and incinerator, knew each chemical distillation vat nut for nut and bolt by bolt. Her father felt it was his ethical duty to always find the safest and most responsible methods of removing the filth that big industry created. He placed this ethical duty above profit and from time to time it cost the company.

When she was twelve there was a fire in the plant, caused by a new worker ignoring the no smoking signs. Claudia was separated from her father during the evacuation and was trapped in the burning plant. it was hours before the fire crews could put the blaze out, hours of breathing in toxic smoke and fumes trying to keep awake, trying to not be overtaken by the flames. When the fire crews found her, they called it a miracle, she was unharmed beyond some minor burns and tattered clothing. The last thing Claudia remembered was blacking out feeling her insides on fire from the chemicals, she thought she would surely die. To her surprise in the following weeks she found she had...powers? the ability to pass through solid objects, to become invisible by allowing light to pass through her, this was clearly how she had survived! She rushed to tell her father the good news, but he was not so thrilled, he explained to her she should never use such powers as they were not gifts, but born of something unclean and likely an affront to god. Of course she listened to her papa and tried her hardest to live a normal life ignoring her special powers.

On her eighteenth birthday her father told her about a new project one that would change the world, he had sunk all of his capital into it. He had met a young scientist Lutz and together they planned to change the world. They had started development of a compound that when mixed with any number of hazardous materials even radioactive ones, would render them into inert bricks, these bricks where dense and structurally sound. the core of this technology was nanite based and highly expensive but Karl did not mind the investment as the return would not only make up for it financially but help to achieve a life long dream. For Claudia the project meant all that, and a bit more, for she had finally found something she wanted more then the family business and that was the attention of the young scientist her father had hired. in the following year and a half the project chugged along making fine progress, as did the love of the two young people involved in it. Karl seen what was going on and for once approved of his daughters choices and activities. that was until about six months from her twentieth birthday. Her father came to work one morning with Claudia to find the factory ablaze yet again, Lutz was inside, they found his body, his notes burned to ash, his project destroyed. They ruled the fire arson and when her father tried to rebuild they accused him of insurance fraud. The family had lost everything.

Not a month later several lawyer types from a few of the larger companies Karl had worked with started to poke around, ask if there was any back up to the project, a project he had not informed them about, started to ask if he or his daughter knew anything. As the harassment went on his dreams broken his daughter busy with her own mourning, Karl slowly started to lose his mind with regret and worry, eventually it all became to much for him and Claudia found him one day dead in the study from heart failure. With the loss of her love, the loss of her father she swore she would do something to make the people responsible pay. It was clear to her that big business did not want this wonder to be made, that they had burned her life to ashes, but how do you get revenge on a group of corporations and something as ephemeral as shady business practices? It came to her in a flash, she would hit them where it hurt the most, in there wallets. At that moment Claudia Scholz died like her father and her love, and Geist was born.

Sounds good, she is currently out committing white collar data theft and living in a nice hotel. she currently feels that the best she can do to get back at that sort of person, is the rip them off. someone would have to poke her a bit but if she was given a better option she would take it.

She’s has a curvy figure but well formed. In the form of Unknown she takes on a male shape losing the curviness for fit agile form.

History: After his sister's death by a dose of bad drugs Richard went on a personal crusade to find the people responsible. In time he wormed his way to the manufacturing location where he was captured. After being tortured he was injected with a lethal dose and dumped at a warehouse in Iron Port. It would have been the end of him, in many ways it was.
That is when fate got involved or was it blind chance. Falling into orbit of earth was a mass of crystal based life forms that drift in orbit of the sun. The mass is a collection of organisms functioning as one only complex enough to move to avoid danger. This one drifted to close to earth and got caught in its gravity the magnetic field damaging it as it fell. Wounded and dying its body normally a black blob was changing color a light purple blob of goo.
That when the dying Richard noticed it curiosity or just dumb luck. Richard fell near the blob his bleeding hand squished the mass. Enough of the alien cells entered his blood stream that it figured out it could hide from the magnetic field in Richard. The last remaining living cells of the blob soon fled into the body of the man as the rest melted into a puddle of slime.

The body wasn't safe just safer there were contamination do deal with. A fight of survival took place as the microorganisms forced the poison out. The Alien cells then began evolving adapting to the new norm as they replaced the damage cells of the host. The man was now part of the collective and the being known as UNKNOWN came into existence.

Time went on the longer the lifeforms lived in the body the more it absorbed till there was nothing biologically left of the man once known as Richard. Just a faint echo of fears and doubts, those doubts lead him to work for a group called A3. It was on one of the missions that events changed Unknown in even more ways. Having been exposed to electrical energy beyond his abilities to absorb it a second Unknown began to emerge. Fear that this new entity could become something monstrous drove Unknown to try to destroy the budding life. A Hero and member of the team named Lucent Dawn gave him a healing compound called Liquid light.

The Liquid Light had stunning effects on the child. It absorbed the liquid light and emerged taking the form of a baby girl with empathic powers. Now technically a single parent Unknown took the form of a woman named Samantha Rose. The child was given the name Crystal Rose.

Powers: A shape shiftier Unknown can take on many forms twisting and even surviving being broken apart. If the connection is lost then the smaller mass is no longer recoverable and could grow into another Unknown. Unknown strives to make sure she doesn't lose any mass.

Unknown can absorb energy, light, and heat. Having first evolved in space it feed directly on light, energy, and radiation from the sun. On earth he still needs to eat to compensate for the reduced energy caused by the earth’s atmosphere and Magnetic field. Now it has adapted to earth it no longer dying by the Magnetic field.

Weakness: The crystal lifeforms short out when exposed to water or ice. When in the human disguise it has some resistance but in the altered state of the black mass it can easily be harmed by water and ice.

Okay, hm... I kind of suspected that answer, I'd like to suggest another.

Kelvin Mythis used to be a scout and espionage guy, though he's basically trick arrows with demolission and bomb defusing as an extra skillset, also helps make neat arrows. He got burned by a client, since he worked as a mercenary, the bomb he was defusing went off, wasn't his fault, the guy the client insisted come along was just there to ensure they didn't make it out. They did, burned him back and got Kelvin a nice set of new legs and 'hazard pay' he's technically retired at the moment.

I was thinking he doesn't have to or often use the explosive arrows and they can be shaped charges for blowing walls or stealthy entrances or retrieving sensitive materials. Chemistry to craft explosives and poison bolts. Uses a crossbow and occasional melee. Other than the neat legs, he's normal.

Pick up explosives not from the marines just sorta along the way? and two advanced engineering degrees? I assume he rode his GI bill like pony? also mono filament would basically murder anyone it touched, and was he mostly clean or did he murder and kidnap people for a living? are his legs super powered or just prosthesis that give him normal mobility? why would he chose bows over guns? did a gun fail him, was his father an expert archer? who was this father? more clear but still rather confused.

Seems this year a bad year for holidays. My sister in the hospital recovering from what we think was a seizure the docs say it was severe Vertigo. Given both my Mother and myself have seizures we know the symptoms by heart and don't think those ER Docs fully diagnose what happened. Vertigo can be triggered by seizures after all.

I pray both and all our Love ones recover and are safe.

Yeah docs are now saying it was caused by a viral infection in her brain, caused the seizures and vertigo like symptoms. Still going to bug her about getting a regular doctor and an neurologist. She's doing better now.

I have an idea of how to get Unknown involved. He has the best secret identity not just a different look, but a different sex. So chances of someone knowing that Samantha Rose is really John Doe aka Unknown is very slim.

However if he was out hunting drug dealers he would be in his male form and be spotted.

Sir Vincent Leo, also known as Sir Leo, or simply Leo for short, is an elf and a combat mage. He was trained in magic that focuses on the destruction and defeat of enemies, both singly and in groups. He is known as a competent swordsman among elves (which makes him a master among normal humans), but a very skilled mage. He is able to quickly assess a situation and determine whether lethal or non-lethal methods are needed. He prefers a silver-green or golden-green radiant energy bolt or stun bolt as a primary tool, but will use fire, ice, sound, force, or lightning as dictated by the situation. His supporting magics run the gamut of disguise, invisibility, minor healing, minor espionage, and personal comfort and convenience spells. His skin was fair, but not too pale, his features strong, but not too rugged. His physique was well-muscled, but again in a lean, rather than brutish, way. “And Sir Leo, this is Sheena Gardner, chosen incarnation of the goddess Shanikali, huntress and mistress of the currents of time, guardian of the Beastlands. She is a conservation warden of the state of Wisconsin, a recent guest of Riverhaven, and wife of Eric Gardner, veterinarian. She is also a personal friend of mine. She acquired her powers very recently through contact with an artifact storing the powers of Shanikali, which was contested by the huntress villain known as Elf Shot. Both Sheena and Elf Shot are hunting each other; Sheena to bring the other to justice, while Elf Shot seeks to take Shanikali’s powers for herself and dispose of their current host. Any questions?”

The elf grinned mysteriously. “No, you make yourself clear.” Sheena shot a questioning glance at her friend.

He preys upon criminals such as thieves, murderers, supervillains and others. He is active mostly at night, but appears during the day from time to time. Tracks down criminals by the help of his telepathic dagger, which can sense souls nearby and tell bad ones apart from good ones. Always kills his victims in order to steal their souls. Eliminates targets with his dagger and rarely dark magic.

He has also had several superheroes who had tried to capture him, but were unsuccessful. He doesn't kill them, only escapes and inflicts non-lethal injury if necessary.

The territory he lurks in is all of Titan City, but mostly areas that have a higher crime rate.

Well in order to drain the soul, the dagger has to inflict lethal injury, so yes, a non-lethal stab will not drain the soul. The soul can also be drained shortly after the target has died of some other means while the soul still hasn't passed on.

The cloak allows him to blend in with shadows and darkness, making it useful for avoiding detection. It also prevents him from casting his own shadow. It is immune to any effects of dark magic and highly resistant to all other attacks, but it's energy is drained from each attack. The less energy it has, the less area it can cover, potentially leaving the wearer open for attacks. The cloak can be 'recharged' with dark magic after it has lost any amount of energy, but it takes a while, thus it cannot be done in combat.
