If the skeleton Crux took the half-skull from is undead, then yes. But what it's really tracking is the rest of that skull, that was still hopping away last she saw. So if it got back to their lair, and if the mastermind or one of his servants isn't better at blocking such magic than Crux is at doing it (or whoever answers the ad), then the location of the lair could be found.

Well, Rotten got dumped into this RP. Necromancy is something Hel would keep an eye on and when Crux sent the ad she chose to interfere. Of corse she uses Rotten to be her agent in the moral realm.

Maybe I shouldn't assume that these skeletons are protected like the others? If not, I can edit. ^_^
Also, the blades were blessed by Freya, a goddess who has some jurisdiction over the dead. Rotten Luck is empowered by Hel, who is a Goddess of Death. He might have better luck. So to speak.

Well it's like this... They're not actually dead or undead. They've effectively been cursed with immortality until they can find their souls. They've aged to a point where their muscles atrophied and had to use other people's body parts and some magic to keep moving, hence why they look like skeletons. They can't really die, and the trade back for that is that they can't really fight that well and are only a threat because of their numbers and fire power. They are very much alive.

Must be an unexpected side effect that makes them seem like undead to Crux' life-sense. Maybe that the soul has been separated from the body but is still somehow linked to it by the curse?
