Avatar Builder Suggestion and Bug Report Thread

Since access to Titan Create has officially begun, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread of suggestions for improving the avatar builder. This applies to aspects of the AB that are not covered by other threads (e.g. no animation suggestions, no costume suggestions). We can tentatively use this thread for bugs too, but if they get overwhelmingly frequent it might just be easier to make a new thread for them. I know very few of us actually have finished the download for the AB, but as you gain access to the program, you can offer your feedback here. This thread is not meant to air complaints about the AB, but rather aspects that may improve ease of use, UI, options, etc. from the consumer perspective. Thank you to MWM for all the work you've invested into creating this amazing product for us!

I will update the thread as responses come in and try to keep it organized in a nice way.

Sharing
• The ability to export/share slider configurations for others

Sliders
• Have sliders that start in the middle begin at "50" rather than "0"
• Have customization with increments that arrow buttons can change the slider value
• Have the ability to reset a slider value to default
• Have some sliders with lower minimum values than currently present

User Interface
• Have the ability to reset customizations on the right side of the UI (e.g. re-centre emblems)
• Have colour/pattern/etc. features preview while in the list view to prevent having to scroll down the list to see another option

I haven't finished my

I haven't finished my download yet, but one thing that stuck out when I watched one of the streams last night was having numbers on sliders, and a way to manually input a numerical value (within the range of the slider, that is).

It would be a good QoL feature, particularly for sharing faces and body types with other players without having to send a whole costume file. I'm not very good at using sliders to get the exact look I'm after, but other people who are could create a face or a body that looks good and share the numbers to recreate it.

Gotta say it's great to

Gotta say it's great to finally play around with the AB/TC or whatever it ends up being called.
Huge kudos go out to, Materials/Textures! Love huge volume of choices pretty much everywhere!

Slider controls need some tuning.

The right arrow for sliders intuitively moves incrementally however the left arrow doesn't perform the same way. The left arrow will jump all the way to the opposite extreme, not incrementally nor to the initial starting point of the slider but all the way to the left. So if the slider started in the center and you do any adjustments to the right then try the left arrow to go back just one increment you will find the setting has moved all the way to the extreme left (0 setting). Having said this I see there are also times when the right arrow behaves the same way as the left but I'm not sure what is causing it as it has only happened to me a couple times with the right arrow.

It seems more intuitive to me to suggest having the arrows always move in the indicated direction but only to the next value evenly divisible by ten and let the user tweak it from there or alternatively move it an increment of ten from the current setting until reaching the extreme value (0 or 100).

Another quirk is if the slider is not on a setting divisible by 10, say 41 or the slider has been moved by the mouse to any value say 40 for example and you select the arrow then the incremental movement is unusual with decimal values in the setting. It will do this until the slider has been set to the extreme setting in either direction.

These are just a couple of things that could use some polish... Still a blast to play around with!

Having the ability to reset

Having the ability to reset the individual right-side controls (such as size/positioning of the chest emblem) would be really nice. After getting it off-centered by accident, it was a hit-or-miss guess to get it back.

Most of the left-side sliders seem to be either "Bigger" or nothing - waist size in particular seems like a good candidate to be able to go "smaller".

Having the list boxes of things like the patterns interact immediately with the elements they control would save a *lot* of time and heartache - being able to cursor down the list and see the various options successively rather than having to chose it, have it appear, then go back to the list. (Which, by the way, would be really great if it didn't just disappear after choosing!)

I've got a lot more, but I'll save it for after there's been some additional traffic here.

I believe this happens because for some reason the slider value is "0" when the slider is centred for some values when the feature is actually at 50% scale. When you go left, the numerical value doesn't change, but it makes the scale match up with the value. I put a variation of your request in the list to account for that.
