One thing that has been mulling in my mind for a while is being able to have completely different looks between left and right side of the body split down the middle, including skin and anatomy. The options that CO has for difference between left and right side of body would be relatively easy to do and I'll assume those are already in the works, or at least planned for, so I think we can safely disregard them for this discussion.
What I would like to have in addition to what CO has would be these options:
"Skin" being different between sides, including possible tail. The anatomy of the tail would still have to be "one whole".
Wings and other "back options", both in looks and "anatomy".
Legs. Here I'm talking about having one digitigrade/unguligrade (I'm assuming that difference will be in the foot and not in the leg) and the other plantigrade.
Other accessories. I think this primarily related to the head but would probably relate to other parts of the body. For those things that are not one single unit that stretches across the head that we get the option to have one on only one side or having a "second" one place symmetrically on the other side. Heck, getting the ability to have two different "accessories" being symmetrically placed would be fantastic.
I take it that clothes we will already be able to be "split" this way in regards to coloration and patterns, but being to able "split" their design as well would be very nice.
Essentially what I would like to be able to do in the end is making a character where the left and right side looks like they come from completely different individuals and, hopefully, making the "merge" look natural.
It would be cool if we could make character like The Half-Jackal...
Edit: It's hard to tell from the pic, but he's wearing the left half of a green suit, with the left half of a tie and the left half of a pair of tinted sunglasses on the human side of his head and body. It's like they took EVERYTHING you couldn't physically do easily as a cosplay costume and put it into this one guy.

Actually the first thing I thought of when I read what blacke4dawn was after was this:
Good old Star Trek to the rescue. ;)
As far as CoT goes it might be easier to have body asymmetry for things like wings or horns that don't actually touch each other along the centerline of the body. The idea of getting random things to "naturally merge" together down the middle (like the two halves of a single tail) would probably be relatively hard to do for anything other than maybe skin color.

One of the first things that I thought of was Hel of Norse mythology and Two-Face from DC comics mythology. Wouldn't these just be skins. One for the left and another for the right? That should be easily doable. Something more in line with true asymmetry would be Pale Ride from CoT mythology. I really love the third right sketch on the second image from our last update. Along these lines of lop-sidedness is Quasimodo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. (he's one of my favorite heroes ever.) I suspect that Pale Ride has his own custom rigging though, and that we would be asking too much for more than a couple of non-symmetrical stances.
I'm behind this all the way and would probably use it in character creation. I think that it would take a lot of thought to make a truly outstanding toon, though.
