I just recently started playing SWTOR again after a LONG absence mostly to find something to do until CoT is ready. Was love to team up or even join a guld possibly if any of you guys are active there.

I still play from time to time would have to check which of the server's im on though.
I log in about once a week for a little bit. I'd like to do some of the raid type missions. No idea what sever I'm on. I'm also playing as a "preferred"-account so not sure if that affects guild activities or anything like that. It sure as well screws with the space missions. (even if you buy the unlock) and I also don't have access to customer support. But I like the game well enough.

Server mergers combined with being on a sat connection make playing increasingly more annoying due to latency issues. Tried again last month and within just a couple days, just gave up.
I'm on what is now Star Forge (was Ebon Hawk, but server merges).
Legion of First Light
Legion of Dark (I believe it is for Imp side)
I tend to main Inquisitor and Consular, but I've also rerolled them multiple times (fave stories, class, and I always just want to get the character right from the beginning :p)
Same people almost in the guilds, RP guild.
On rare occasions.

I stopped playing SWTOR after Galactic Command launched and I could not progress in my gear without subbing.
Pretty much my problem right here. SWTOR really is a game that you can't progress with at all unless your subbed as EA nickle and dimes players for even basic functionalities, heck you have to pay to unlock the ability to wear purple gear among many other silly cosmetic restrictions.
I tend to only pop on those few times I can afford to spare to pay for a sub.
It's reasons like this, I would prefer CoT be sub based. Sub to get on forums, sub to play the game. To easy for free players, they have no incentive to play and the game I want to keep playing, gets shut down :/
Yeah I agree Brand X. I have no problem subbing to a game I enjoy playing. I sometimes really wonder how some people think the games can stay afloat much less be profitable if they (the players) dont pay for ANYTHING?! I understand if you cant afford a sub either not playing or doing the free to play option but understand that there are going to be some restrictions on your play if you dont pay! Otherwise what is the incentive to ever sub?!

I prefer the guild wars 2 model of purchase; no subscription cost, but the game costs a fair amount up front, and there's a cash shop to keep the game running.
I've also heard tell that CoT will have a model that makes it so that if you want to subscribe for additional stuff you can, but it won't be required or affect overall gameplay.
An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".
I've been replaying the original storylines for fun while I wait for CoT to launch. I also like to hang out in DK or Fleet where global chat demonstrates humanity's highest linguistic achievements.
