Can you tell us anything about aliens in the game?
Are there races you've decided to use?
are most people in the world aware of aliens existing?
Do we have a history of contact?
Have we been invaded?
are there friendly aliens?
do we trade with them?
if so what do they want from us and what do we get from them?
is there a way for us to initiate contact or do we just sit around hoping they'll drop by?
have we exchanged ambassadors?
is it possible that different alien races have contacted other earth countries with conflicting ambitions?
What about inner space?
are there atlanteans, lemurians, morlocks lava men?

Can we have intercourse with the Aliens?
If so, can I be Riker or Kirk?
Will things be highly illogical to them?
Can we boldly go where no one has gone before?
Is there a prime directive?
What would happen if we broke the prime directive?
I got chills! They're multiplyin'. And I'm losin' control. Cuz the power, I'm supplyin'. Why it's ELECTRIFYIN'!!
Can I be impregnated by one of them?
Will something burst out of my chest?
Do they have Acid for blood?
Are they going to hunt us?
Can they camouflage themselves?
Do they collect skulls?
Can I get to the chopper?
I got chills! They're multiplyin'. And I'm losin' control. Cuz the power, I'm supplyin'. Why it's ELECTRIFYIN'!!

I always seemed to lose mine all in one go...

If the ones in the game technically come from the Antarctic, I'd expect them to be more minions of Ithaqua than Yog-Sothoth.
I do a DnD Podcast, which can be listened to here.
Additionally, I write up my sessions of a Teen Heroes game here.
You would not believe the amount of bad experiences I've had with all of the Cthulhu mythos.
If I hadn't had a sword that scared me even more than the monsters (something inspired by Stormbringer but not that) it would've gotten very ugly.
Even that only held them off long enough for steel head (actually the same player as a different character) to cast some god-awful spell that merged them all into one mega-monster so I could destroy all their souls with a single attack.
After that Steel Head went insane and started worshiping Yogg-sothoth
Yogg-sothoth was gone for good as far as we could tell,
but there are endless worlds.
Steel Head became a source of endless trouble. Fortunately he was also turned into a parrot and most of his powers were support spells so he couldn't do too much damage.
Did I mention that I used to rule the Dreamlands.
I married the daughter of Kuranes, the king of Celephais.
When he was killed I became king
Eventually I conquered most of the Dreamlands to form a powerful united front against the men of Leng.
I would've mentioned it before since being a king is kind of a big deal but today it all seems like a distant dream.
After all of that, I should point out that I know surprisingly little about the Cthulhu mythos.
I've never read any of lovecraft's books.
But my GM, that mad genius, he knew too much for anyone's good.

Do they have tentacles?
Heh, fair enough. From playing the Call of Cthulhu rules, I know that, in the great battle against the Elder Gods and Great Old Ones, well... victory is impossible. Best thing that anyone can hope for is to stalemate and prevent the inevitable for as long as one could, even though in the grand scheme of things it makes little difference.
Oddly enough, a good thing in writing horror is to allow just enough hope so that the possibility of survival acts as a catalyst for what goes on. If a situation is entirely hopeless, the audience ceases to become scared, as they know that it's just going to happen anyway. It can still be scary, but there's not really anything left to lose. Yet, Lovecraft had always managed to maintain that kind of fear, and a good GM of a CoC game can really scare the crap out of you (First game I played, our GM actively left me with nightmares.) It was well known around the table that the source material heavily implied a no-win state for everyone, but it was still scary. I have to wonder how they did it.
I guess there can also be a bit of a debate on whether or not the Cthulhu Mythos stuff would have as much of an effect on us if we lived in a Superhero World. A lot of the time, a sanity effect that comes from these creatures is that to our minds 'they should not be.' From our fundamental standing in the world, what stands/crouches/hangs/flies/bubbles in front of us is an impossibility. In that same sense, a lot of supers actively defy the laws of physics, and can be seen as things that should not be either, but on a much smaller scale. With grander creatures like Cthulhu or the other Old Ones, their presences pretty much warps reality and messes with our entire beings, rather than one or two senses like lesser creatures do. (After all, The Ghostbusters did alright, apparently.)
I do a DnD Podcast, which can be listened to here.
Additionally, I write up my sessions of a Teen Heroes game here.
Actually even though the Call of Cthulhu game was a frequently used source material, we most often played as superheroes using either Superworld or D.C. Heroes. The game we played was a vast multiverse with a lot of different genres thrown in. There was even a Dungeons & Dragons world. And we all got ourselves mutated by a guy named Dermod Hengeclid who I think was from a universe called Hawkmoon.
A common Idea in our group was that insanity came not from the violation of Natural laws implied by these creatures but from the negation of all world religions that they implied.
Most of the stuff superheroes do doesn't present a challenge to our beliefs, but the existence of monsters like these was difficult to reconcile with our faith. Especially from the standpoint of a more fundamentalist worldview that dominated American religion in Lovecraft's day.
It's not as much of a big deal today, but back then just suggesting that there was intelligent life in space could be considered a declaration of atheism. I know, I was Pentecostal before I became Catholic.
Oh, and X, Everything has tentacles.
You just can't usually see them.
