Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

a 101 places to have a super fight in

COH didn't offer a lot of places to fight in. cargo ships, office buildings, and the like. For some reason COH was in love with caves. Caves are nice, but they were way over used.
>>> Please Devs, delete the 5 layer cake of death. I hated that one!<<<
But there were a LOT of places that they never offered up to have a fight in.

I want to come up with a list for a 101 places for a spectacular fight.

1) a Junkyard! full of stuff to toss around, a car crusher for the villains to place you in. a crane and a magnet to drop cars on people...this is a MUST for any super game!

2) a High School. Every anime has one. The city of titans needs one too. A science lab to make gremlins in, cheerleaders, weight rooms, class rooms, and food fights in the cafeteria! by day it is populated...by night is is dark, empty and ...haunted.

3) the Daily Planet. a newspaper building. Several floors of offices, a printing press in the basement, and several romantic interests to give missions. Villains may not appreciate negative coverage, and so its a great place for a fight!

4) The Ballroom: every super setting has one: Charity balls with the rich elite tossing money into a big bag, and lots of old ladies with Jewelry.

Shopping center - like smack

Shopping center - like smack in the center of a mall, or the in-game version of a Walmart.
Amusement Park - with fights happening on the rides.

Interesting places where one

Interesting places where one could fight In CoH.

Park full of trees and pathways, and water features. Great for 'raw parklands', but there should be areas that are more organized, bike-paths, sand-pits with swings, ball courts, baseball cages, etc.

Parking lots and parking garages. Almost always, inexplicably, Empty! These environments could be better utilized. Extra points for destroying, or Not, the civilian property. Exploding cars might do Hazard damage to anyone nearby.

Improbably huge and random sewers. Granted, these are just 'high-tech' versions of Caves. They are silly and impractical and mostly useless as civic infrastructure, but they are popular and traditional comic-book tourist attractions. Count disuses Subways in this group, at least they're not knee deep in foul water.

Waterfronts were not well developed scenes, they could be better used, too. Lots of closed and open spaces, heavy machinery and stacks of Stuff, but the hazard of falling into the water, and the nearby warehouses were not well used. What about when you finish off the last gang-banger-pirate-security-guard and then the warehouse doors slide open, revealing a huge mob of angry... mobs?

Prison! Don't worry about collateral damage, they're all guilty anyway... (er, irony, okay?)

Fire-escapes... crazy mazes of vertical geometry... for anyone who couldn't Fly.

I'm sure there are more, but I'm tired of thinking about it. Epic fights can happen anywhere!

Be Well!

Can we also have like,

Can we also have like, challenges? I dunno, chases, races, gimicks like that for super speeders, I always wanted to be in an aerial combat scene with a tonne of big enemies that often miss cause you're landing on their buddy's ship, and sometimes you manage to take them out this way, since they all effectively launch AoE's.

So... Sky? Can we do Sky?

Hmm.. Mall sounds like fun!

Hmm.. Mall sounds like fun! Aerial combat is always cool...

How about subway fighting.. dodging trains and monsters... and rescuing kitties!

Oooh.. and the moving gears of a machine!

Underwater fights might be cool too?

And... can I challenge you to a game of Parrises Squares? :-)

Yes! That's what i want, right there! Best chase scene ever!

And man...so dated. I can't remember the last time I saw a Jewel-Osco, much less a Jewel.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Jake: Hit it.

As far as "chase scenes" in a

As far as "chase scenes" in a videogame go ... I've been pondering how it would be possible to pull off a chase in a MMORPG with Travel Powers, and the answer comes back with needing use "field levelers" in order to impose predictable bounds of performance which you can build a scenario around. All you have to do is come up with a scenario/story based reason for Must Use Temp Powers to perform the chase with (I like the "disguise" rationale myself) and you've got a situation where as a scenario designer you can "mandate" use of a particular Temp Power in order to reach specific objectives.

Set things up as a kind of "waypoint" system, akin to how the Ski Slopes worked at the Ski Chalet in Pocket D, and if you want to have a long(er) chase, simply have waypoints along the way where the PC's can "pause" the chase (and let pursuers race ahead, losing sight of you) before resuming the run for the next waypoint (and inevitably passing them up while they get their act together again).

Note that such a basic structure could be applicable for almost any means of Travel. It doesn't have to be restricted to Superspeed and/or Car Chases. It could be done with Z-Gee Backpacks and having to leap from rooftop to rooftop. It could be done with Flight Packs and needing to run a course through the sky (Star Trek Online did this for its Summer Event). Teleport Bracelets for "push button movement" within line of sight ... in which you need to get through an area without being spotted (so use terrain screening on your teleports), and so on.

There's even a possibility of having Player vs Player races across town using only a restricted set of Travel Temp Powers ... sort of like how the Star Trek Online Winter Event had Players racing against each other to reach a finish line of an obstacle course track.

By restricting Players to use of Temp Powers for Travel, you can define the bounds of performance in such a way as to build a scenario and story around the restriction.

In many ways that's what I'm

In many ways that's what I'm talking about, perhaps these temp powers could be passive granted by the mission that cause collision to do damage to objects and grant you bonuses or penalties for doing damage which would reduce or increase your speed. Chasing an ice villain through the frozen streets of Titan City trying not to knock down Christmas trees and presents, lots of sliding and sledding!

Another possibility is to make them sort of like a detective focused challenge where you have to find the enemy's tell like a crack in the pavement or something like that then draw them out and capture.

The sky idea could be done like the jump geysers in the shadow shard, though hopefully with more power and control with different movement powers, hitting an enemy ship could do some damage, then redirecting their weapons at one of their own. I can't think of a scene that comes to mind for this style of fighting except maybe giant robots, but for super heroes it could work well too. We also have readily available sky pirates.

Lots of great ideas. Bickwatr

Lots of great ideas. Bickwatr came up with one that escaped me: Amusement park. Innocent by day, abandoned and sinister by night.
No MMO has ever done one just right.

You've got Gargantua, the giant ape that escapes.Evil clowns. and Gorgo the 8th wonder of the word....until the 9th wonder of the world, his mother invades the city to rescue him.

Another place for a great fight is the City Zoo, where a stray blast and break open a cage and the animals run free.

Who doesn't want to fight on a merry-go-round? Or the Ferris wheel? On on a Roller Coaster as it's speeding towards a loop?

Man, I cannot even BEGIN to imagine the logistics of how that would have to be programmed.

It's the physics engine equivalent of "assume a spherical chicken of uniform density" followed by the software engineer's eyes bugging out as they gasp "hold it right there!"
