Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Actual Swag

Probably already being considered...

I want a t-shirt with,

[City of Titans banner]
"We Are Heroes
This Is What We Do"
[MissingWorldsMedia]

Maybe a faint background, but that's not necessary.

Huge Phoenix with City center

Huge Phoenix with City center building(s) backdrop, huge 'City of Titans' looms overhead fading into the scene ...
with some heroes in the foreground.
The foremost hero has their foot pinned down upon the chest of Kim Tack Jin, looking up as he is lying on the pavement cringing in fear.

Hey... it's just an idea. XD

Will we be able to buy a physical copy of the game in a box like CoH/CoV? Because I got the boxes for CoH from 04 and I have a beta version of CoV in a box and then CoV completed in a box.

I don't see myself using an in game store much but if I could buy a physical copy of the game to add to my collection for 60$ or so, I'd rather do that, just so I could say " look now I have CoH2 on my shelf next to CoH/Covbeta/CoV."

But that is probably just me, I'm a bit of a nerd like that.

As far as I know, there are no plans for a physical box at the moment.

Toys! Plushies of iconic NPCs! Things we nerds can play with! Loving the t-shirt ideas! Hats! The list of possible physical purchases is amazingly huge... just go to Think Geek and look at whatever your particular fandom is. I know I'd spend way too much on physical swag if it were ever offered. Certainly not at launch, but sometime in the future. Heck, look at how much Blizz makes from sale of physical items. Such a great idea for adding to the bank for MWM to bring us more/better/more extensive in-game content. =)

Real Life Badges

Real Life Badges

I brought this up during the radio show ... (might I remind you ... I still expect my share since I was offered it. lol)

However I wanted to expand on it:

For every badge you achieve in game, you unlock the availability of purchasing a real life duplicate in shop.

Now then, I personally would want something like a silver-dollar sized badge. Not some tiny button. Doesn't have to be made out of precious metals or something, but make it substantial. Pewter, or even just high polish pot-metal. They can make some amazing stuff for cheap these days.

Make it shiny, make it hefty, make it look just like what I achieved in game. Probably can just send the trophy / medal shop your 3D files.

I would be willing to pay $5 to $10 bucks a pop depending on how awesome the badge medallion is without question. I figure if you guys did a reasonable setup with a supplier (may even be a perfect online site for this. I haven't really looked) You should be able to make a pretty fair amount with this. I know there are a ton of badge-whores out there just like myself and my wife. We would be dopping some serious cash depending on how many badges you guys have in the game. :)

Just a thought. PLEASE DO IT!!! lol

Thanks,
Manny

There are tons of badge printing places online, send them an image, they'll graft it to a badge of your shape/size.
Given how popular the Penny Arcade pins have been, it would imho be worth getting something like that done for iconic NPC's / landmarks.

If people won't pay enough to finance its creation, it is not worth creating.

Makes you wonder if anyone used to make their own cassette or 8-track tapes back when the world finally stopped using them just because there were a few die-hards left who didn't want to give them up. ;)

Actually it's a bit more sensible than that, if you're going to have to reformat your hard drive, it's quicker to reload it from a CD than download it and uses less bandwidth if you're limited on amount or speed.

I have some friend for whom

I have some friend for whom the box on the shelf is a trophy. Some have old DOS games on 5.25" floppies. Others have the CD safely secured in a binder, but the box itself is there on the shelf. Me personally, I saved the dvd box (and physical card) from the 60 day game-play card I won from the 2007 Halloween costume contest, and that's not even a game!

Maybe it sits there empty, maybe you keep a backup copy of the game in there, perhaps you use it to gift the game to a friend and want something more than just an activation code scribbled on a post-it note. Some people need the box, so let them have it.

I think a lot of the

I think a lot of the merchandise is going to hinge on what the iconic characters are/look like as well as some of the iconic landscapes. Here are some obvious ones, along with some ideas compiled from this thread and my coffee fueled psychosis.

- Apparel (T-Shirts, Long Sleeve, Babydoll, Baseball, Hats, Beanies/Toques, Underwear?)
- Plushy Dolls of Iconic Characters.
- Coffee/Drink Mugs (Ceramic and Travel Mugs)
- Badges! (I actually think this is a pretty nifty idea, $10-15 for Resin/Plastic badges and $25-30 for metal seems fair - after all, this is a player-led game not a multi-million dollar company... gotta start small)
- Physical Copies of the Game (including box)
- Figurines (statues/busts) of Iconic Characters or Battle Scenes (statues are generally cheaper than pose-able action figures from what I've gathered)
- Posters
- Gift Wrapping paper? I don't know... it sounded better in my head.
- Perhaps if the Leading Hero and Leading Villain have a costume piece that is Iconic to them (like a helmet, shield, or glove) that could be purchasable for a premium price, made of decent materials that were fairly sturdy)
- I feel like something that's often missing from Super Hero MMO's is purchasable perishables. What if DC Universe Online sold actual energy drinks of the "Soder Cola" drinks? I mean Diablo has the Health and Mana drinks - why not us? And if not actual perishables - perhaps stick on labels (a pack of 20 for $15.00, 10 for $8.00?)
- Fridge Magnets
- Buttons & Pins (could also have badges printed on them for all us poor folk)
- Mouse Pads (Desktop Computers still exist right?)
- Stickers - Of course, duh, stickers! (Who doesn't like stickers?!)

Really that's all I can think of for now. As for Custom T-Shirts, those shirts will run roughly $20 probably, custom figurines and action figures run upwards of $200 depending on what company is gone through.)

Good business would dictate that once the product is established and the brand is fairly recognizable "Collector's Items" would be more viable, at the beginning perhaps some basic apparel, stickers, posters and buttons would be the beginning and it would morph out from there.

They don't have to be limited to iconic characters; look at what Blizzard has with their deal with Figure Prints to give WoW players a way to order full-color custom statues of their characters.

...Sweet Baby Ray's... I had no idea that even existed. That's awesome - however, Blizzard is a multi-billion dollar corporation that can afford access to this kind of technology and not have the sale price be bank-breaking....

So, unless the CoT team is a group of millionaires, we might have to wait for that option.... but that would be freakin' awesomesauce.

I think "Figure Prints" is actually a third party company that works with Blizzard to get those figures made. While it would still take some money and effort to get CoT characters translated into something that could be used for mass-production 3D figure printing I don't think it would cost as much as you'd think.

3D printing has been around for several years now and it's constantly getting cheaper to produce high-quality figures. I suspect that by late 2015 it may be fairly realistic to think that MWM could partner up with a 3D printing service to do something like this at reasonable prices.

It could be worthwhile for

It could be worthwhile for MWM to get in touch with them to see if they are interested though.

Blizzard don't own Figure Prints, and seeing as FigurePrints also offer a Minecraft version of "printing your character" (although its "print part of your world"), who knows what else is on the list.

I do however imagine that although they chase the "bigger games" out there (probably because it is going to be a better return on investment), I would have to agree that it might well be a bit longer.

The costs though are quite high though (even if as you say "Blizzard have billions that can afford it")

€70 for a bust
€130 for the statue

I would imagine the costs would be similar for CoT as well (if FigurePrints were willing to offer it to MWM)

2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner

I guess it would ultimately boil down to what each person considers to be "high" prices but I'd probably pay $150-200 for a high quality 8-10" statue of one of my main CoT characters. And as I implied something like that will likely be even cheaper a couple of years from now.

Oh agreed. I just didn't see your post when I was making mine (2 minutes time difference between the two ;) )

Side note: Here is something interesting....

Get yourself 3d-printed up for £60 (8" model)

(And yes, I am actually tempted to go up in LRP kit to get myself printed)

ASDA offering 3d printing

So its is possible to be cheaper already.... just all depends as to *where* you get it done.

((£60 = $100 / €73 roughly just so you can compare the prices))

Wow, a lot of the pricing I see is like $70.00 USD for a figurine, $100.00 for an action figure (as the cheapest prices I've seen) but then again, that's for a single customer, not necessarily business prices - and for a high quality piece, $150.00 USD wouldn't be unreasonable (also, high price doesn't mean unreasonable, I just mean they're high... especially when you're a poor person. Damn bills and being a responsible adult.. what a crock)

Well everything's relative...

Spending something like $70 to get 3D prints of every random character I make in CoT would be far too expensive for me. But I played my original main character in CoH for well over 8 years and I'm pretty sure I'll recreate her in CoT. I wouldn't even think twice about dropping $150+ in a nanosecond to get a high quality figure made for her if MWM offered that service... nudge... nudge... wink... wink. ;)

I'm not an expert on 3D

I'm not an expert on 3D printing, but I know CoH had some issues with it because some costume items as designed were incompatible with it (capes had no thickness for example). You need to design your costumes in such a way as to be 3D print suitable which is more work. IIRC Arcanaville tried to deconstruct CoH figures so as to be able to 3D print them and it was a complicated exercise.

There's no doubt that 95% of the effort to get 3D figures made from MMO characters is being able to translate the relevant graphics data into a format the 3D printers can use. I can easily believe that it would have been fairly difficult to do that with CoH since I'm fairly sure 3D printing barely even existed when CoH was first developed so the data formats would not have likely been directly compatible.

Even for this new game I wouldn't automatically assume it would be a piece of cake to translate native character data to 3D printer data. Clearly at this early point in CoT's development I don't think it needs to be a top priority to make that happen. But I'd like to think it'd eventually be easier to do this in the 2015-2016 timeframe than it would have been back in 2004 if for no other reason than technology has progressed to the point that 3D printing is more receptive to various kinds of standardized graphical data.

With as often as this was suggested for CoH it seems it would eventually be worth MWM’s time and effort to make this happen regardless.

Im not much of a swag person

Im not much of a swag person unless its a digital item in game. I chalk this up as having my wife dress me every day when we go out as a family. The marines tell me what to wear everyday, so I don't really worry about dressing myself.
