Gambit, Storm from X-men, Deadpool, Spiderman
I have to many to just say one!!! Sooo...in no particular order:
Cyclops! Don't care for when they make him a total prick, but he has so much character.
Gambit and Jubilee! Love them both so much! Hate how they try to change them up (Death/Vampire)! Also, listed together because I'm a hopeless Gambit+Jubilee shipper!
Spider-Man! Hate what they've done to him lately. :/ Even worse in the Ultimate Universe. If their idea was to gain reads by killing off Peter and replacing him with Miles, well, they lost one.
Psylocke! So many imitations, wish they didn't make some of the changes to her as well. I swear, it seems instead of just coming up with new stories, writers now think they need to totally change powers and abilities or up their powerlevel or what have you. I do like her post Siege Perilous incarnation the most though.
Emma Frost! Myself, don't care for her secondary mutation *shrug* But her personality is love! Background is love! I really didn't care for her as a super villain, but as a super hero side of things I love her. Also just love that they went the route of artificial enhancement with her. Not that I'm one of the terrible people out there who thinks large is unrealistic, it's just another thing that makes her a little more unique in a world with supers. She's surrounded by these naturally endowed women and she's the one "yup, got some surgery done, we can't all be naturally endowed" And she's best when with Scott and the best to be with Scott imo!
My dream X-Men team (obvious X-Men fan here) Emma Frost, Gambit, Jubilee, Husk, Cannonball (they need to bring back his immortality), Psylocke and Iceman.
This isn't to say I don't like others, but these standout. I don't hate Wolverine, but he was never my favorite. I like/enjoy Deadpool, but they started taking him to far imo to make him a favorite right now (for me).
For DC...
Grifter! Really haven't checked him out in new 52 in awhile. My problem with him in the New 52, was that he seemed underpowered compared to when he was in the Wildstorm Universe. Like they had to make him less, to put him into the Mainstream DCU.
Nightwing. Love Batman in the movies JLUA, but for comics, it's Nightwing! Batman has become to much of a "He can hangout with the big boys!" seriously, he takes on these superpowered enemies in JLU that should take him out easily, but has problems when in his solo title. I understand the appeal of Batman teaming with Superman and being part of the JL, but they overplay him to much in those situations. Nightwing seems to stay a bit more himself.
Supergirl. Truthfully I loved her comic before the new 52. Haven't felt like picking up her title in NuDC.
Harley Quinn. I actually prefer it when they go a bit more hero side with her with a good dose of insanity. She's just more fun that way imo.
Starfire. I want them to mix Teen Titans Animated personality with her classic oufit, just because I laugh at people who think sex appeal/revealing outfits is the most terrible thing ever. :p Mind you, I didn't care for her personality change in the NuDC where she was like "Who?" and "Oh hey sexxors!" Sadly haven't kept up with RH and the Outlaws, but I was enjoying it when I did.
Gen-13! They not only need to be made part of NuDC completely, they need the original team! Freefall was one of my favorites!
Dv8! Need to introduce some of these members into the NuDC too! Sublime, Copycat, Bliss, Threshold, Frostbyte, Freestyle...Dv8 and Gen13 where mandatory pick ups and usually one of my favorite reads!
For outside the main two...
Adrenalynn, The Tenth and Esperanza...Tony Daniel really needs to bring these ones back! I MISS THE TENTH SO MUCH!!!
I only wish I could keep up with all these as much as I used too! Would for sure if Gen13, Dv8, The Tenth and Adrenalynn ever resurface!
How did it take me so long to find this topic?!
Spider-Man
Captain America
Captain Marvel (DC)
The Black Panther
Superman
Iron Fist
Rogue
I don't get mad, I restructure the laws of quantum physics and resolve the situation with temporal engineering.
What do you think about...
Margot Robbie as Wonder Woman

(brunete)
Its actually been over a decade since I read many a comic so dont know anything about them now but going back
Abbey Chase....heck all the Danger Girls
Spiderman
Hulk (almost all personalities but world war hulk was amazing)
Batman from JLU and BTAA with a nod to the Brave and Bold Batman
Preacher (great series if a bit controversial)
Used to love wolverine but I am not sure if all the watered down versions of him in movies and tv have killed that or if I just out grew him.
Hulk, Deadpool ,Black Panther, and last but not least LUKE CAGE.
--Formerly Jorortis--
Note: Jorortis is still a character of mine and is still going to be in the super group, not Demirus, at least not yet...
I have a few favourites for different reasons i.e. Spiderman for he's witty sense of humour and Batman for he's dark one but most of all my ultimate favourite is and always will be
THE FLASH
....I think not only is he really underrated in terms of he's intellect and ingenuity but he's powers at times seem to be without limits and there's always so much talk about him pushing things to 100% so he's restraint makes for another great superhero quality! :-D
The Citadel Is The Strongest Part Of The System...It Is The Last Line Of Defence!!!
The Flash does have limits in a way, if he runs too fast, he will fall into the Speed Force, run into an parallel world, or travel through time. But I agree, Flash is my favorite hero, but mostly for his personality.
Rorshach, but Moon knight has to be a close second. The "X" series from Dark horse is really good also. I find "boyscout" superheroes to be a dull read, unless it's at a more humorous level...or I just need a break from people gettng their skulls bashed open and fingers broken. Yeah.
Nova (Richard Rider only)
Captain Mar-Vell
Iron Fist
Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers)
Colossus

I'm a Marvel fanboy, but my fave super hero is Batman... or should I say Bruce Wayne.
Showing a carefree playboy facade to others, while on the inside always doubting peoples actions.
If he had a super power it would have to be his intelligence. I dont think even Lex Luthor could get one over him.
But best of All... Bruce isnt Really a Good Guy... or cares for it. He does what he thinks is Right!
A bit of a list for sure...
Spider-Man, Spider-Girl and Spider-Woman (Mattie). I never actually picked up Spider-Woman with Jessica Drew as SW, I don't really know why.
Gambit & Jubilee are my favorite two X-Men who usually make it enough for me to pick up the book to see if I like where the writing is going (no matter how much I may like a character, if I'm not enjoying the writing, it makes it harder to justify the purchase)
Gen-13
DV8
Cyberforce
Supergirl (before the New 52) I was enjoying
Nightwing I was enjoying!
The Tenth, Adrenalynn and of course Esperanza (how I miss these Tony Daniel titles).
Grifter.
I've actually started picking up comics again O.O Been reading Spider-Man, X-Men, Cyberforce and Death Vigil.
Not sure I want to start picking up New 52 titles again (I picked up Red Hood and Suicide Squad for awhile when New 52 started).
I just like the idea of heroes in many forms, and hope to really get my name sake feeling like such heroes!
Dogwelder.
Greatest superhero EVAH!

I had no idea we had so many likes in common. Cyclops and Husk are two of my absolute favorites.. they're defined by their leadership not by their powers, much like my character Kontrol.
I am curious to know more about your character now to see what personality tropes I see in your character(s)
P.S. - I found this online today about Husk
Crowd Control Enthusiast
Actually, all joking aside.
Dr Who.
To paraphrase Moffat.
They didnt give him a ray gun, they gave him a screwdriver.
They didnt give him tank, they gave him a call-box.
They didnt give him heat vision, they gave him an extra heart.
That last one says it all.

For me it would be Jack Kirby's The Demon (Etrigan), which ironically was a character Kirby hated and only made because they told him he had to, as I heard it told. Also, Machine Man. When I read comics on a regular basis I tended to like the characters that only got their own title for like six months to a year before getting dropped for lack of readership. Marvel Comics Present, Showcase, and What If were big with me. Anything that focussed on fringe characters you didn't get enough of in the other books. Jack of Hearts, Shang Chi, Mr. Miracle, The Vision, The Red Tornado, etc.
R.S.O. of Phoenix Rising
...really? Okay. Let's see now.
Dr. Strange.
-Not such if this is idolization of my father. Since he looks like a cross between Stephen Strange and Charles Bronson. This was also one of the very first comic books my father ever gave to me.
Ghost Rider
-Same as before, one of the first comic books I ever read. Still like the character. I particularly enjoy when Ghost Rider and his hosts have conversations and arguments since it tends to happen during an action sequence.
Batman
-He's just cool. I enjoy how even those of greater powers are sometimes a little iffy around him. I forget how the quote goes, but it's something like, "...Batman alone is never a good thing."
Thessaly, or Larissa
-Of a sorts, I've modeled my own character after this woman. A possible immortal and outside of the "Endless" quite probably THE most powerful magic user of the DC/Vertigo universe. I just love how she has the ability to topple the multiverse, yet after all she's seen and lived through, she'd rather just study whatevers and live in her little apartment. The Infinite Crises the rest have to sweat and suffer through seem little more than an annoyance to her.
Psylocke
-From the moment I saw that ridiculous pink outfit with the sleeves, it was her. Still is her. Throughout all the body swapping, reality jumping, stupid romances and power swaps, it's her.
Psylocke
-...yeah. Still her.
Some of you people are not posting right. SOME OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE NOT SUPERHEROES!
This.
"TRUST ME."
Spiderman was my first introduction into superheroes waaaaaay back in the mid-70's and he has always been my favorite. Pete was a geeky little runt in school just like I was until I joined the Army, so I could always relate to him in that respect.
Blitzkreiger - SecLevel 50 Mutant Incarnate Blaster
I have to go with nightcrawler. one of the few times they took a religious character and did not fall on one of the lazy tropes with it. plus i love his look and sense of humor, in the grimmer comics his sense of a swashbuckling hero is refreshing. we do not even think about the horrible "ultimates" nightcrawler., who promptly was turned into a lazy trope.
also for the more manga side, i like adam warren's empowered, a character who gets beaten up and humiliated on a regular basis, but has pulled of some of the best crowning moments of awesome.
oh, and of course squirrel girl.
there will be fancy.
I have a list of favorites, likely to provide way too much insight into my personality:
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Batman (Sadly, the Batman TV show with Adam West is still the best superhero TV show ever (TV doesn't get superheroes))
Bruce Lee
Bruce Leroy
Captain America
Captain Kirk and Mr Spock
Colossus
Dennis More
Hawk the Slayer and his elf buddy Crow (didn't care for the giant or the dwarf much)
Hit Girl
King Arthur
Lightning Lad
Link
Luke Skywalker
Saint George
Saint Michael
Sir Galahad
Spider-man (the first Spider-man movie is still the very best comic book movie ever made)
Superman (I prefer some of the older stories before he became a cosmic being, George Reeves was better than Christopher Reeves)
Tarzan
The 6 Million Dollar Man
Thor
Wolverine
Zoro

Changeling (Beast Boy) and Raven out of the Teen Titans. Starfire too personality wise if you consider her backstory.
I also like Ghost Rider, Nightcrawler, and all of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I also found that one hero with the pain activated powers to be interesting (powers wise, they really screwed up on that guy's origin if you ask me)

Wonder Storm
These days, I'd say my two favorites are Aquaman and Black Panther.
In the past, I'd include the Question, the Thing, and Daredevil. Others who have come close to being favorites include Steel, Dr. Mid-Nite, and She-Hulk.
I like the new Antman that recently came out. It manages to combine the fantastical elements of a supers universe and the tropes there in with a story about a recently divorced father trying to make ends meet. Kind of like how spiderman was before people tried to grimmdark him up.

First, sorry about my english, I'm Spanish and my english is not very good! :)
OF course, i LOVE Storm, from Marvel. I'm a Marvel fan, actually i'm playing Marvel Heroes 2015 and DC Universe, in both games, i got Storm, or a Storm "copy powers". I think Storm summoner, Water/Ice power, Lightning power should be in all games! :P
By the way, i like too Phoenix, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Dc Strange.... :D
I don't know what you're worried about Jasve. Your english is perfectly fine in your post (better than that of a lot of english speakers, actually).

This is actually difficult. I guess I have to specify which version of the character, as some treatments of my favorite characters some times turned me away.
Despite being a Marvel fanboi growing up, my all time fave has to be Batman, specifically the Frank Miller story lines, TBAS, and JLU.
I really liked the Wonder Woman seen in the DC animated line up, JLU and a few stand alone movies.
Angela of Image comics, yeah... this speaks volumes about me. The concept of Angela was intriguing to me and really influenced many of my gaming characters, CoH particularly. Few characters embrace and acknowledge the absurdity of her costume or rather lack there of. Her ribbons being her actual armor seals the deal. Image (at least back then) was known for beautiful artwork and outlandish character designs, but sadly very weak on story. You immediately got the sense they had no idea what to do with Angela, and killed her off. Rumor has it Neil Gaiman will be importing the character into the Marvel Universe.
Psylocke is another big favorite, but again, you get the sense when titles changed authors, they could not figure out what to do with her. Hence the character kept changing. Chris Clearmont's treatment of the character was my favorite. Conceptually simple, yet her stories have her enduring so many hardships and bizarre events it's her perseverance that makes her so fascinating.
Angela is already a part of the Marvel universe. She is the lost sister of Thor, who was thought killed by the habitants of the 10th realm, Heaven. Odin cut them off from the other realms, thinking they killed her. In fact, she was found alive and raised as an angel by another.
I was thinking of picking up her comic, but the art for her comics hasn't really got my attention.
Thanks. I was aware of the basic story line, stumbled across it when I did fact checking on my post. Blurb I read is probably out of date it did not confirm the import had actually occurred. I'm not currently reading comics.
Spiderman introduced me to comics. Best powers, and the best villains. That and he is a hero with problems. With his aunt May about to kick the bucket at any time, and his problems with girls...Peter was taking ulcer medication at one time.
Spidey is the everyman hero.
The X-Men came next.
But I was entranced with the TV show Justice league unlimited. The writing was awesome! I loved the sheer number of heroes and villains worked into the show.. It lasted a mere two years but it was the best.

Spawn and Ghostrider have always been pretty awesome. Not sure what hero is my FAVORITE because there's so many different heros with so many different types of stories. But being caught in a the middle of a war between heaven and hell and choosing the side of earth rather than "good" or "evil". They ask a lot of good questions about morality... plus they look badass.

I think Spawn would've done better if it hadn't gotten so weird and Todd MacFarlane didn't stop drawing it. He was a new hero who I thought could've become really big.
So true. He's still pretty big though. Not as big as Marvel or DC, but at least I still see Spawn action figures everywhere. That's gotta mean something lol
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMcQdRLgVpMwXi_3yTCN5iA/videos
I love Nightcrawler! I really wish they made a movie just about his background story and how he came to the point where the X-Men found him. I love the idea that Mystique and Azazel are his parents and just how cool his acrobatics and teleportation style is in combat and how much fun something like that would be as a power in CoT!

These are my favorite Superheroes of Marvel and DC:
Marvel:
1. Spider-Man ( I like the young, Teenage kid hero with a quick wit and annoys his enemies)
2. Captain America ( I like his moral stability and uncompromising conviction)
3. Iron-Man ( I like his......Um......His charisma....I think)
DC:
1. The Flash ( I just like him)
2. Superman ( I like his boyscout-ness, and his self-control to hold back his power)
3. Batman ( I like him because......................................................BECAUSE HE'S BATMAN!!!
I like a lot of superheroes from Marvel and DC, But My all time favorite Heroes are in my own imagination, which I hope to flesh out in City of Titan. I have been unsuccessful with creating those heroes in existing Superhero MMO's and I hope to succeed in City of Titans.
I accidently ate a bowl of radioactive soup....ok I guess that makes me a Soup-er Hero
