This post is to give ideas of different types of costuming in the Western genre. The idea of this post is to have about 5-10 different and complete costume sets for each type listed, or that's how I intended it. Keep in mind these are just idea's. If anyone comes up with any types that I had missed please comment below.

Some of these ideas could be crossover from Steampunk, or Victorian. Female versions as apropos.
-Cowboy- Hats: High crowned Gus, Flat crown, Round crown Billy Jack, and tattered versions of each. Also, Jeans/denim, Bib Overalls, No collar shirt, Long Johns (?) Cavalry style belt/holster as well as standard left/right and cross draw, with appropriate belts and buckles. Tall Boots, with riding heels and again Cavalry/Pirate style, and Mule Eared strap boots. Dusters, Vests, and Range coats (Indian blanket sheep collar)
-Farmer- As Cowboy, with emphasis on Bib Overalls
-Robber- As cowboy with a Kerchief mask of course. Or a Flour Sack with eyeholes in it for the mask/hat?
-Towns Folk- Shirt with and without collars. Overcoat. Vest. Suspendered pants. Females would probably crossover with Victorian.
-Gun Slinger- As Cowboy, but with more emphasis on Vests, Long coats, and low slung holsters.
-Gambler- Dapper Dan of the world, tending towards Victorian wear, such as Frocks, Vests, Bowler hats, Short boots.
Weapons Single hand or dual wield pistols, such as the Schofield, Army Colt, Double barrel shotgun, Scatter gun, Winchester and Sharps/Evans

Oh my GOSH! And here I thought I was pushing the envelope of lore with the Schofield and Evans? ;-D Actually got to fire a LeMat replica at a SASS shoot out. Very impressed with the spread of that shotgun under the regular barrel!

How about costume parts for indians and mexicans?
Right! Both Hollywood versions (the stereotypes) and more authentic styles from the various tribal groupings and/or professions.
