Here I was hoping for insight into what Halloween events you guys got planned. Okay guessing from the descriptions, Halloween decorations, fog and streetlights going orange?

Personal rules of good roleplay
1.) Nothing goes as planned.
2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP
Good story, it's nice to see some ambiguity in south titan's heroes(?).

A minor vigilante supers group. Nice. At least some of them are clearly not to be underestimated (I presume bokors roughly LT level enemies with the Barons).
The frog guy raises some interesting implications.
I do wonder how much of what the two guys saw was illusion. The whole vigilante justice angle does tend to preclude anything particularly sinister.

You have no idea the implications the frog guy raises. Trust me. None at all.
Normally, he's a suave secret agent and man about town.

Meh, they should have gone for the kitty curse, and turned him to a cat.
Is this the 3rd week in a row for lore now?
Currently trapped inside the Speed Force...
Last week was tech...
Third lore update this month, but that's because there was a bonus 5th week.

Don't hate the updates, just because they're Lore! Lore is good! Lore helps the Game be good.
I'd rather have a Lore update than NO update.
Be Well!
Fireheart
That would be telling...
Oikay, more seriously? I know there are a number of ideas floating around, but other than fairly basic evaluations, it seems a bit premature to be planning details of a seasonal event when we haven't got the core of the game laid down yet.
Do we intend to do something? Everything I've heard would indicate 'yes', and I have trouble imagining how any supers game could really *not* have something for the one day a year that everyone that *isn't* super-powered is running around in the same outfits they do. But trying to figure out what the details look like quite yet would be an exercise in futility, since 90% of them would probably have to change in the detailed implementation anyway.
Besides, there are several hints as to things we're planning in at least a conceptual level, tucked away here and there in the lore given. Figuring them out is left as an exercise for the reader. :)

Hmmm the weird sisters could be cousins of Katie Hannon ?!
They did, at first, but he kept clawing the furniture.
I heartily concur, CB! I suspect that the Weird Sisters are those three witches in MacBeth, Act III, Scene 1. If so, then there were two familiars mentioned in that scene -- a cat *and* a frog!
*purrs because she doesn't need a curse in order to have kitty ears!*

I bet they're Amerikitty brand kitty ears.

Very cool. It's nice to see some street-level stuff. I like the superpowered fire gangs and power-armored SWAT team thing, but that's still another league or two up on the food chain compared to punishing people for the mere mistreatment of people. I was also quite fond of the blatant banality of the witches attire and decoration. All too often, anything of this substance seems to demand a style of "the old ways, and only the old ways, and your garment isn't PERIOD!" It's great to see some wielders of the dark arts embracing modern consumerism. It adds a bit of realism, and helps support the suspension of disbelief.
A pair of kitty ears this way, please.

The frog guy might have been a frog who definitely would hurt a fly. :)

Hm. Looks like nobody's decided to comment on the trick.
There was a little extra art in the KS version of this update.
It shows an entirely different faction.

If that's important, shouldn't there have been some indication of it in the story itself? Without an indication of that, you might as well be saying, "You guys have no indication how incredibly important that redhead was. The one we didn't mention but was there the whole time."
At first, he just reminded me of the bunny outfit in Adam Rose's gimmick in the WWE. (That was my first reaction, anyway. But that implies he's a mascot or just a guy in an outfit, which probably won't apply here.)
With no indication of who they were or if they were relevant to the story, it seemed less like a 'trick' and more like a confusing extra.
Although the group shot is really cool art, it left me a little disappointed when the thing skipped to tales of the fairly uninteresting jerk. (Although the Weird Sister bit redeem that somewhat.)

I believe that comment was mostly tongue in cheek.
There were more than a few clues that the Weird Sisters are more than a bunch of women throwing about minor magic tricks. Nonetheless, the reason the presence of the frog-man raises interesting implications is that it hints that they can either summon/create familiars (potentially in the same manner that they used to make the guy into a zombie) or that they have allies.

The art kinda throws me off for one reason.
Mage, Werecat, Harpy, Skeleton..
Robot?
Wut?
New faction though.. Ghosts? Zombies? Both? Maybe something like the Stricken/Infected?

It could be a zombie robot.
More seriously, one of our editors is nicknamed Froggie. It's not him appearing as a cameo, but everyone was kind of curious about that till we got the answer from O'Lantern.
As for the Begrudging Dead... well, you'll have to see. They do hold a Grudge.
