ORIGINS
Aedrick Bishop is the CEO and co-founder of Bishop Tech, Inc; a company based on nanotech, biotech, cybernetics, military technology and synthetic as well as automated organisms. Aedrick was born into a long line of genius level intellects, being granted his first patent after his 17th birthday. The patent was for a long-range gauss rifle with a projectile velocity that broke re-entry speeds at mach 25 with sufficient cooling. His father regarded the design as large and too impractical. Aedrick later sold this patent to the TCPD in order to control the influx of metahumans in Titan City using their abilities for criminal activities. Coming from a long line of prominent engineers, this was hardly impressive. The young child worked to impress his father with his passion for military technology and synthetic organisms, working on algorithms that wrote their own new code as they faced obstacles. It was dangerous territory at the time and many opposed his work. When he turned 20, his company was co-founded and registered by Sir Marcus Bell and him, building an accumulated capital of 10 million over six years. It was a slow start, but other companies were just as quick in patenting similar or even better inventions. Marcus was Aedrick's mentor and counsellor, having taught him most of what he knew. He also tutored Aedrick throughout his two degrees at university. After a strong three years in the company, age took the mentor and Aedrick was left to build his own innovative empire.
He started developing armours and robots for military purposes, gaining the attention of many worldwide governments. His purpose remained pure, even as corrupt offers were placed to steal the tech for unlawful purposes. Aedrick wished for the influx of metahumans to be managed, not stopped as others did. Some requests were even that he bless or enchant and imbue the armour with magical or divine forces, all which he refused, claiming it was not his expertise. An offer came in, by far the most expensive build he had received in years, to build a sword made from a specific material that he would be given. Aedrick accepted almost blindly due to the amount the client was willing to spend, hardly expecting the events that would change his life forever.
During the creation of the cosmos or universe and reality as we know it, stray divine energy of the event heaped up and floated across the star systems, gathering more of the energy and growing aimlessly, bound in an orb. The collective force of this energy grew strong and gained self-awareness as an eternal power. Due to its origin, the energy learned of the many races and events that occurred throughout the cosmos, growing wise and pre-eminent as more stray energy collected. Gods and others alike dubbed the energy Deus Alpha as it started to surpass even their power. Finally, with a collective power of said Gods, they forced Deus Alpha within a star, locking the orb within the core of a class O blue star with a fear of its power. The entity witnessed the passing of time in an epiphany, watching civilizations grow and fold and history repeating itself.
Disappointed that it was the source used for creation, it set out to escape it's cage and destroy what it was used to form. The Entity built friction within the star by altering its kinetic energy, building more and more heat so that the hydrogen would burn up and quickly collapse the star. As The Entity did possess mass, it was absorbed into the black hole. Deus Alpha was however able to enter it and control it, turning the blue star into a dark black hole, with bright spurts of blue energy escaping the gravity field. It's goal became to destroy every world with life upon and create the perfect being; genetically pure, healthy, fruitful, wise and strong. Deus Alpha became a world-eater, dragging the black hole to every faulty civilization it could find to wipe them from the cosmos. The Entity soon grabbed the attention of the Gods and they acted quickly to save their creations from the source of the creation. With a destructive battle ensuing as the titans clashed, the energy Deus Alpha had absorbed dispersed from it and the entity grew weak while the gods grew stronger with their own reabsorbed power. In an effort to keep its power, the Entity fled into its own black hole, forcing itself into the singularity within. Its energy was converted to an inconceivable mass, causing the black hole to grow before evaporating, sending pieces of the singularity across the universe. Each piece is connected to Deus Alpha and they are all slowly returning to the Entity as the self-proclaimed god is rebuilding its power.
One shard of the singularity managed to find its way to planet Earth, a small meteor that crashed upon the planet thousands of years ago. With Deus Alpha weak and no one in his favor, the shards remain spread across the galaxy for the time being. The piece was salvaged by a mining crew, not large by any means but the density was more than that of Osmium even at a staggering 32 grams per cubic inch. Aedrick, upon receiving the metal, calculated that melting the odd element would require both high pressure and high temperature facilities to shape and mould. Aedrick crafted a simple mould for a long shaft to form a blade and traveled to a company branch in the Nevada desert, where he owned a projectile manufacturing factory, mostly tungsten carbide tips with diamond cutting faces. As it was a late evening, the CEO was alone. Aedrick preferred it that way anyway, disturbances were frequent where he worked. The heavy alloy was placed within the mould, in the furnace and slowly heated. Aedrick knew it would take a while, but he worked as if he had all the time in the world, especially considering the paycheck he was to receive. It wasn't long before the heat woke the stagnant energies of Deus Alpha within the shard, causing faint blue glows within the mould.
The man, hard at work, hardly noticed the oddity as he smelted the metal into the mould. He would sharpen and temper it later, but his goal was to finish first. Once the temperature reached the calculated amount, he pulled the mould from the flame to dip it within the cool water. When he opened the mould, he could do nothing but frown at the sight he saw. The metal was an amazing vibrant blue, glowing in the dark. He removed his gloves and moved to pick up the long shaft crafted from the shard. That which occured after was a blur. The shaft started vibrating erratically as the blue pulsations moved towards his hand which was unable to drop. Once the energy was absorbed by Aedrick, he lifted from the ground with a blue aura latching onto his body. Bones audibly snapped and cracked as his body transformed, growing larger and taller. His muscle mass grew more and the definition and tone grew heightened and his eyes were overcome with a bright blue glow. The large figure then collapsed to the ground. Unclean blood was cleansed from his system and he puked the red fluid out while every inch of his DNA was altered by godly, divine powers, cleaning his genetic makeup.
Deus Alpha had sworn to wipe the slate and create the prime being with pure DNA and physical prowess, as well as the wisdom of all. The so-called god did not care in which order it would occur. In fact, he intended to use his new weapon as best he could from his compromising, weak position. Aedrick was to wipe the slate clean while Deus Alpha lay in rest. The large being stood, standing at a whopping 7'2" and 340 lb. Aedrick panicked before growing enrage. The urge to destroy was planted by the god and he wished to destroy, snapping the dense rod in two with his hands before he threw one half through the brick wall of his factory. A conflict grew within; he did not wish to be controlled by Deus Alpha, and Deus Alpha wanted him to kill and fight. Aedrick yelled for the voice to stop over and over until he finally found silence, sinking to his knees once more. The CEO shrunk, in pain as his bones cracked and snapped back into their original place, becoming human once more. Deus Alpha's power did not leave however, merely hovering deep within the conflicted man until there was another chance to strike. The being could not control Aedrick, as Aedrick willed it not to. It was an obstacle Deus Alpha had not expected.

"Black hole sun, won't you come, and wash away the rain..."
I'm just passing through to say that this is a pretty cool story! I like cosmic events. One of my favorite series is Battlestar Galactica which had some intriguing cosmic themes.
More on your story, I like how the shards of Deus Alpha could act as a link between mortal civilizations and an unfathomable cosmic force. It would make an interesting origin for superheroes, the supernatural, mystical forces, and other misunderstood events. It also sounds to me like Aedrick (awesome name, btw) might be getting in over his head with the material which I assume to be a fragment of Deus Alpha.
Speculating about Deus Alpha's future, I hope that the collective universe can keep it in check. What started out as a mere sentient being turned into a vengeful harbinger of a universe-wide apocalypse.
Keep up the good work!
That's an awesome song, man.
I really appreciate the compliments, this is the first time I've actually been able to work on and flesh out a story for my character. The events that unfolded weren't large-scale at the time to be honest, as it (I say it, since I presume a sentient being made from the collective energy of other gods wouldn't have gender) was stopped before it could get near Earth or any other planets that other player OC's might have come from. Of course I'm widely open to collaboration like that if any roleplayers are interested. It could make for an awesome storyline.
Aedrick's name took me a really long time to think of so I appreciate that comment. I wanted something that wasn't common, and sounded cool. Yes, Aedrick may be smart but he does get impulsive and greedy as far as business goes. No one is perfect after all and he often does get in over his head. Later stories will probably have him accidentally selling weapons to opposing factions, landing him in trouble with TCPD and more even.
Regarding Deus Alpha's future... It's tough to say where it might go but yes, that is the concept behind the shards.
'Omniscience' is definitely present as the being is very very wise in regard to the universe. Deus Alpha is not omnibenevolent, omnipresent nor omnipotent. In fact, due to where it's power comes from, it's power actually gets taken quite easily by the creators. Speaking of the creators, I tried to steer clear from many religious beliefs, leaving that part quite blank, as there could be many, or there could be one. Either way, Deus Alpha only exists due to the residual energy of the creation. Whether the universe can keep the entity in check is hard to say, but it's not making the recovery of those shards easy, that's for sure. ;) I will say that a large part of inspiration was the Green Flame of Life/Starheart and Alan Scott.
Battlestar Galactica is awesome btw.
