Will CoT have commands analogous to /screenshotui and /ghide?
I found these extremely useful in CoX and lament their absence or awkward implementations in other MMOs.
I hope using UE4 doesn't tie your hands in this regard.

Interestingly, it does depend on the game that you play.
Most games have some form (at least the ones that I have played) of hiding the UI, although it isn't always a slash command to do it. Alt-Z seems to be the most common one that I have found, and somehow seems to be the standard across games that do support it.
/ghide is one that I have found missing across most games... although saying that, depending on the game they might have a "online/away/busy" status change that you can use. Maybe I am just one of those people who rarely needs something to go that far...
So, what did these commands do? I presume one hid the UI so you could take screenshots...

/screenshotui caused the UI not to be included in screenshots while remaining visible to the player.
/ghide hid the player from searches.
Man, you guys had all the cool toys. ^_^

The annoying thing was sometimes remembering if you had it enabled or not... Sometimes I missed out on capturing a nice moment in a chat channel, hit the "print screen" key, and then when I looked at it later on... Nope. I had the UI disabled from a few months earlier when I was screenshotting, so missed it.
Most that I have seen actually hide the UI on the screen, not just from the screenshots, which is the awkward implementation I referred to. Not only does it add 2 steps to a 1-step process, but it makes it difficult to perform an action and get a clean screenshot at the same time. Not convenient when you want a shot in battle. (Ouch!)
Apologies, that was inconsiderate of me in regards to any CoTers who didn't play CoX. I should have made them links to ParagonWiki...
Hmmm... Apparently this forum can't handle an underscore in a url. :-(
Oh well, all I can do is direct you to ParagonWiki at www.paragonwiki.com if you ever see folks talking about CoX and you want to know the details.

It can if you use [url=] description of link here [ /url] tags.
for example [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Maiden]Link to Iron Maiden wikipedia page[/url] works just fine.
Actually https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Maiden works as well. If I remember correctly, parenthess can cause a problem, so that is why I normally use the [url=] [ /url] tags. Makes it a bit easier if the link is very long and unwieldy
[url=http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Screenshotui_(Slash_Command)]screenshotui[/url]
[url=http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Ghide_(Slash_Command)]ghide[/url]
I always have problems with the parentheses, whether using the url= brackets or not. Which is why I change open parenthesis to %28 and close parenthesis to %29.
[url=http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Screenshotui_%28Slash_Command%29]screenshotui[/url]
[url=http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Ghide_%28Slash_Command%29]ghide[/url]
I forget who it was that told me that trick... *goes diving in forum archives*
Oh, right! it was [url=http://cityoftitans.com/comment/45941#comment-45941]Gangrel[/url]. Thanks, Gangrel! ^_^
So, ghide brought up a window to ask what you wanted to hide from, useful...
And screenshotui has an argument for turning the UI on or off (off if you don't specify)... If you could do macros I can imagine a trick like this:
/screenshotui
/screenshot
/screenshotui 1
Turning the UI off for the screenshot, then turning it back on. ^_^
(sorry, I keep forgetting that the [url=http://paragonwiki.com]ParagonWiki[/url] is still a useful source of information, unlike certain other superhero MMO wikis)

Ohhh, it's the parentheses! I thought it was the underscores causing the problem, which is why I gave up on using the url tags. Nice workaround using %28 and %29!
I never tried that macro, but I suppose it would work. Given that the magic of /screenshotui was that it affected only the screenshots and not the visible UI, I never found it necessary. My default was to have it off. The occasions when I wanted the UI in a shot (as in Gangrel's example above) were rare enough for me that I always remembered I had to toggle it back on for those. But if your macro idea had worked, one could have bound one key for screenshot with UI and another for screenshot without UI.
Of course the big question remains: will we even have something like this in CoT?
