Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

missed kickstarter and wanting to give

Ok unfortunately due to RL, I missed out on the kickstarter campaign to help fund this game. That makes me sad as I loved COH, and I am excited by this project.

Now I have no skills to help develop this game, and I am not rich, but I would love to be able to give some money towards this game. Is there anyway I can do that? Is there anyway the MWM can set up a system like Cloud Imperium Games / Robert Space Industries/ Star Citizen where fans who want to see this game succeed can donate/buy things (without ever becoming a P2W system)?

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. I sure hope you all succeed. :D

I would like to give to this

I would like to give to this as well, but when and if the donation button does become available, here is my hesitation, my "red flag" if you will. City of Heroes was a huge, and I mean, HUGE community. I am sure that goes without saying. If City of Titans is claiming to be the spiritual successor to it, it needs to back that up. Out of nowhere, I started missing City of Heroes again, so I googled it, and it led me to the kickstarter. What I read got me excited to come to the website, and I expected more out of the site. It looks thrown together. Honestly, if I am going to give money to people that claim to be making the next big Superhero/Supervillain MMORPG, I want to feel it's in good hands, and if I can't even be impressed by the website....well....there it is.

Well you're not totally wrong, we needed a website to handle queries arising from the KS, and the most important thing was that it worked rather than looking flash (and didn't have some of the issues the old boards had), didn't take too much effort to create to distract people working on the KS pitch and was cheap as we didn't at that time have any money.

Work is being done (we're going to need a website with a cash shop which can handle post KS donations/purchases), I wouldn't judge us too early.

You have a valid point - for this to be something worth donating to we ought to have some reassurance it's going to pan out. On the the hand I suspect the website for CoH wasn't too impressive back in 2002 (two years before it launched) either so I'm willing to cut the MWM people a bit of slack at this point. I'm supporting this grassroots effort for the hope of getting a good game worth playing in the future, not for a fancy website today.

If the overall online presentation for this game doesn't look "spiffy" by the summer of 2015 then I might worry. Right now? not so much.

Well, I own a small business-

Well, I own a small business, 6 years now, and I've learned some things--especially about a labor-of-love business:

1) You can overcome anything if you just keep rolling.

I specifically say "rolling" because you have to be flexible. It's like logistical and financial parkour--just find a way over, under, or around the things you couldn't possibly have seen coming or planned for.

2) Murphy's law is as real as gravity and should be fully factored into all plans.

3) Everything costs twice as much, takes twice as long, and generates half as much profit as your worst reasonable projection.

4) Out of your plan A, B, and C, it will be a mutated, Frankenstein's monster, duckt taped together, improvised on-the -fly plan D that you end up using.

5) The American Government mainly supports small business with their lips. Cornerstone of the American economy? Sure, because they step all over us! (sorry, bit of bitterness slipped out there :P)

And I'm still here after 6 years--mainly because of severe worst-case-scenario planning and rolling rolling rolling. And finding creative ways to get cash to make it through the bad times and expand in the good.

I'm not saying this as unsolicited advice or to pat my own back--I'm saying so people get that you can always use more money in a business.

So, when we get the chance, we need to give the support that we can if we really want this. And I ain't rich--not by a long shot--so I don't say that lightly. Like I said, my business is a labor of love too.

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)

Those types of cosmetics (weapons / props, custom costume textures) were available at the $1,000+ level during the Kickstarter. I'm going to assume that's a bit hefty as rewards go, although if it turns out that there are some really big spenders...

How about, making it possible

How about, making it possible to get the Kick Starter perks and allow people to send you money in Intervals that stack up. (example: I give you 5 dollars this month then the next few months i toss another 10 , 20 , 30 dollars to increase what i give you to a total of 65 dollars ) now i get the 50 dollar KS perks, allow people to just add it up, until all the perk spots are used up that are still available or where still available as the case may be. Just an idea.

Please keep up the good work, I am patently waiting for release.

Concept art, both in digital and as prints (preferably signed by the artist).
Early releases of the in game music, I've already like what I have heard so far of Hellwreckage's work.
Perhaps a cameo in the CoT comic? Even if it is just your likeness as one of the citizens of TC that would be cool.
If you have the tee-shirt thing all worked out, a Patreon exclusive shirt should be a good one.

How about Chapter 1 of "On the Care and Feeding of Developers"?

Something like choosing the particular subject of an update gets tricky when there are a dozen people sending in a dozen different ideas each month. Concept art should work. I'd mentioned to Cinnder just last week, or so, that MWM must have lots of concept art lying around. Obviously most of it is unlikely to be of a quality that one would wish to see published in an art book, but it's a start.

How does Hellwreckage feel about producing a(n additional) three to four minute musical bit each month?

Something in a webcomic / funny pages style, set in Titan City, could work. Perhaps see Anthem & Co. in action.

There were several non-unique

There were several non-unique incentives in the original KS that could be placed a level or two up in the new KS. From what I've seen on the original, many of those require little or no dev time now because they've already been completed and are simply replicable. Another simple item would be autographs; not signed art or photos but simply autographs of one/some/all of the CoT team/volunteers. My favorite, I think, would be a video tour of offices/workspaces with introductions to the team. I know that last one would require some editing since this is a geographically decentralized project but it shouldn't take much time or money to produce. Perhaps honorable mentions in a Funders section of the game credits could be given.

I didn't even know about this project until after the KS was finished and I was very upset that I wasn't allowed to participate. I didn't really care about the incentives; the opportunity to be a part of the rebirth of this community and show my gratitude is all the incentive I need. (Which doesn't mean perks don't help push up the amount I'd be willing to spend. Shut Up And Take My Money!)

I do also very much like the idea of a subscription pledge which would allow a weekly/monthly amount to be given, as Stvn mentioned above. I don't know if KS allows for such a thing, however.

Thanks for doing what you are doing.

I've been following this

I've been following this thread for quite some time hoping to see an incentive for me to dump a bunch of money into this game (T-shirts are nice but not what I had in mind). It's a bit frustrating that simply because I didn't hear about this game until a month after the small window to donate on kickstarter ended, I will not be able to get all of those awesome IN GAME perks for making a massive contribution. I get the whole exclusivity of being an original kickstarter backer. I just think it's lame that I missed out because it was such a limited time thing. I'll always feel somewhat...slighted.

So does that mean that those of us who want to dump loads of money into the game who missed out on kickstarter will be able to get in game perks and rewards ( special costumes, powers, bases, become an NPC in game, etc.)?

Exactly, because it's frustrating that we missed out , which is why I want to know if the majority of us who didn't get to contribute to the kickstarter will have an opportunity to receive the in game perks and rewards for dumping loads ($300 +) of money into the game.

Well, just an observation, but looking at people's comments on this thread and at the spectacular success of Star Citizen, ingame perks are evidently a highly effective way to raise capital.

I personally don't care much about ingame perks, but it seems fairly obvious that many people want them badly and are willing to contribute more than they would otherwise for them.

The big question is, what

The big question is, what kind of items can MWM provide that would entice people to give them money? Naturally these are all items MWM would also need to develop. Star Citizen has an easy time of this since the entire game experience revolves around owning stuff (primarily ships and hangars/bases, of course). It is worth noting that all these ships will be available for purchase in-game. Or, to rephrase the question:

What would you be willing to 'buy'?

The only object that springs to my mind are bases. For example, people could pay for certain styles, sizes, and locations of bases (perhaps opening up Mogul once more). Something like this would obviously have considerably more bang if some kind of base building module (similar to the AB) would be made available.

KS add-ons that ought to be easy enough to carry over:

It Must Be A Sign
Immortalized
Iconic
Wanted!
Instant Sidekick (and other pets)
Music to Save/Harm Citizens By

I don't know if it would be appropriate, or perhaps even legal, to continue offering the perks (which would amount to making the various pledge levels available once more). A more motivated or competent (or both!) armchair lawyer than I can weigh in on that. For my part, I wouldn't object to such a step.

Edit: added a noun.

It's not just a question of

It's not just a question of what people are willing to "buy" (i prefer the word donate). It's also important to think about what the developers can accomplish that won't break the production schedule.

I agree, any such money given

I agree, any such money given to MWM amounts to a donation. While it does have the appearance of a buyer-seller exchange, any item/perk/add-on obtained should be viewed as a token of appreciation from MWM rather than as a purchase.

And yeah, I doubt anything like a stand-alone base builder is going to be available prior to the game going live.

Let me start here- I want to

Let me start here- I want to donate to this cause so badly my wallet is burning a hole in my bag. But- sinc eyou asked what things would sway me to donate & contribute financially- there is only one thing I crave.

A Beta slot. I want an early adopter beta slot. Everything else is secondary. I want to contribute to this game's success and the best way to do that with my skill set is to contribute cash and to play test for bugs. Throwing in a lot of the other stuff would be sweet though. But I'm just keeping it real- beta access.

:D

Edit: I also know we're a long time from beta. I don't care. I want my slot.

I also am sad that I missed

I also am sad that I missed the Kickstarter. I was an avid COH player, and I really missed it. One day I googled COH and found this. I would love to donate money and I wouldnt mind not getting a reward, having a game like COH come back is reward enough.

More critically, we'd like something we could deliver to you guys on a weekly or monthly basis, rather than 'future promises'. Without interfering in the development of the game. Ideas are welcome.

I completely missed the kickstarter due to health and other issues. I would like to support the effort. I don't need anything in return. If anything, something like an exclusive title would suffice.

I'm in the same boat. I missed the KS, boo me! I bought Beta access to Firefall a good while back for $80, and I didn't even love the game (my friend recruited me 'cuz he was having fun).

My point is, I will pay to both support the game and to get in for testing/alpha/beta (whatever).

Hello, Like the others here,

Hello, Like the others here, I missed out on the Kickstarter. Would really like to give when you figure out how to get it done. A shot a beta would be great, but helping you bring this to life is enough for me. I miss CoH and wish you the best.

Yes. +1 to the idea of adding

Yes. +1 to the idea of adding a way to make donations to the game. I missed the kickstarter too and want to pitch in

Lay your hands on me
While I'm bleeding dry
Break on through blue skies
And take it high
