Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

In-Game & Social Media Sync

Would it be possible to sync our in game handle/characters to an MWM or CoT social media site? If this has already been proposed, please post the link. Here are a few features I had in mind:

List all of our characters each with their own in depth profiles that would list their all costumes, background stories, real names, relationship connections (sister, cousin, wife, step father...) you can link to other character's profiles if they exist in game or you can just make up genealogy that is relevant to your back story, classifications, specifications, primary sets, secondary sets, levels, achievements, badges, stats, etc.
Character/alt profiles could even look like wiki pages where you can make it as simple or complex as you want.
Game store would be synced with profile site/in-game, so you could buy costume packs, etc.
How many hours played on specific characters, and total overall.
Counter for enemies defeated/missions completed/abilities executed/zones entered... you know the drill
Automated list of favorite powers to use.
Sync your in-game friends list. Add/delete friends in-game or on the social media site, it will sync either way.
Rank other players per character, friends or not.
A green/grey icon next to your characters' names indicating if you're in-game or not, and which zone you're in, if you're on a team, how long they have been online that session.
Screen shots would go directly to this profile page, and post under albums you can edit and arrange.
Like any other Social Media site, you can post messages on their wall, 'like' posts, send messages, invite friends to events for in-game activities (raids, task forces, regular game play, etc) that would send reminders to your actual email/phone
In addition, there could be an app made similar to the Facebook app except where in-game messages can get to you anywhere.
Just about any other part of your profile can be hidden through the settings in case you don't want people to know your real name, location, or if you're in-game or not.
Link to open social media site in a browser if you need to, except most of the information should be able to appear in-game.

A similar posts here talks about a hub or cork board in game you'd have to travel there to access it, and doesn't go as detailed. I'm talking about something directly built into your UI, that you could access at all times, super simple to use anywhere at any time.

What do you think?

This is part of the plan. If

This is part of the plan. If you've ever used the Titan Network City Info Tracker and City Faces features, you'd get pretty much the plan we have on the table, only with direct interface instead of using manual input.

Damn, I never heard of those trackers before. Wish I would have known lol. Sounds great though, I'm glad we're headed there. I always wanted an area I could break down all my characters, and link them together in some manner.

That's great to hear. The subject of integrating CoT data with the World Wide Web has been on my mind for a while.

In a perfect world, I'd love to see the game's data made available through a RESTful web interface as RDF. A CoT Linked Data site would rock. It would also be nice to be able to securely update your characters' information through the site. Maybe even have Atom feeds to subscribe to characters, supergroups, zones, and other dynamic in-game resources.

But that's all pretty idealistic. Practically speaking, I'd like to see some kind of machine-readable CoT data on the web with CORS headers to allow other websites to fetch the game's data via AJAX. I think it would be a shame not to take advantage of the World Wide Web's architecture to allow integration with the data.

I don't want to evangelize too much, but the so-called "web of data" is pretty interesting. Will CoT's data be 5 stars?, Probably not--and maybe it shouldn't be--but it's something to think about.

★Available on the web (whatever format) but with an open licence, to be Open Data

★★Available as machine-readable structured data (e.g. excel instead of image scan of a table)

★★★as (2) plus non-proprietary format (e.g. CSV instead of excel)

★★★★All the above plus, Use open standards from W3C (RDF and SPARQL) to identify things, so that people can point at your stuff

★★★★★All the above, plus: Link your data to other people’s data to provide context

...

If your eyes glazed over while reading this post, I'm sorry. I just can't keep my inner web developer quiet on this subject!

Public API's are always handy... it is what Eve Online and World of Warcraft have done. It also means that if you the developers *do not* do something, if your API can support a feature, then the players will do it for you.

As an example, the Eve Influence Map is player made, and is set to update *daily*.

In fact, someone made a video which shows the sovereignty changes of 0.0 space over time....

Yes, its a long vide0,but it is covering 7 years of game time.

And something like this *would not* be possible if CCP didn't have an API available for players to utilise. There would also be no skill planning tools, ship fitting tools, nor Ventrillo/Teamspeak API verifications (to stop general spying) for the player base to use.

This is just stuff that the players did with the tools that the developers gave them... and just like Paragon Wiki being used by Paragon Studios sometimes, these tools/resources have been used by CCP themselves

I've been thinking about and

I've been thinking about and hoping for something like this, as well. Anything that makes it easier to show off one's characters/friends/SG - especially with screenshots and videos - is a good thing.

Naturally it should be up to each individual to decide which and how much information is displayed, especially such items as which characters are shown and online status.

Extradoubleplusgood if this is also available as a smartphone app, needless to say.

Being able to chat with friends and/or the SG who are in-game, while you are logged into this site, would be quite cool.

The discussions of Eve and WoW are good, but the one I point to is World of Tanks as having one of the best set ups on the market today for this. You have the included base, but other sites with broad, and narrow focus available. It is encouraged to innovate. There are hubs for screen captures, for video, for teams, for clans. It is truly one of the more innovative efforts, and has been in the forefront of our thoughts in this area.

Having never played World of Tanks, I wouldn't know what their API offered... but as I have played WoW and Eve Online for several years, I am aware of what they offer. Eve Online has their killboards, where you are able to post your PvP kills to public boards, and others can comment on it. I have a feeling that World of Tanks actually looked to Eve Online as a guideline of what to offer, and then expanded on it... but most of what you have said World of Tanks did... Eve Online did first.

Hell, Eve Online released ingame twitch streaming recently, so you are able to stream without needing to launch seperate recording software.

And then there is Clear Skies....
