This will be a promotional ash-can comic. There will be more info about it in August. We are still hammering out the details for the official comic, so that will take a few months, I would say we would start sometime in the fall. However, since we are also shooting for a physical book it would take 6 months to reach the shelves after we were done. That is, if a publisher puts us immediately on their schedule, which may cause another delay. If everything goes well we hope to have the first four issue series out by the summer or fall of next year. Then we'll see how it goes. Until then we will run some contests for cameo appearances of the forum members among other things. If it weren't for pesky Intellectual Property issues I would be drawing your stories of your vision of Titan City. Think of it like a short story contest. Oh, and I had the idea of running a "Create The Hero" contest for the comic, one male, one female hero so that you can create the Iconic Hero that you would want for your comic. Yep, I said your comic because I feel the City of Titans comic belongs to the community, I am just the facilitator of what the community wants for their comic. It's not about us, the developers, this game and comic is about you the community. But those ideas are up to the legal department, so we'll have to wait and see if it's possible to do. Until then, we'll just continue dreaming.

PS. I redrew the page so the lettering in the sign will be added in later on by the colorist...maybe ;)

Well, we will be going with the cross hatching style over the grey tones after all. It just makes the process faster.

Oh, and if you are referring to the Ascendant that I've heard about, then he will most definitely have a place in Titan City--Warcabbit will see to that.

I heartily concur, Tiger! Saul may never have gotten a choice gig for Ascendant, but his player's hard work and effervescent spirit have earned him that legacy, which lives long after the player himself.

It looks like Image and NCSoft may still have his IP rights since he appeared in one of the City of Heroes comics, but rest assured Warcabbit is making sure that he is remembered in the game.
