Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

"What If?" Missions - Because sometimes, Dr. Doom is a hero

Simple concept in my head (or it was simply until I had a migraine, so bear with please). In comics, sometimes you get alternate branch type comics. "What if Spider-man saved Gwen Stacey?" "What if Professor Xavier had been chosen to be the Juggernaut?" "What if Superman had landed in the Soviet Union instead of rural Kansas?" Stuff like that. What If? missions could be something unlocked by working with different hero/villain groups, and would generally pertain to some member of that group, or one of their enemies. I've been out of the loop a while now, so I don't know who is who at this point and thus can't give specific examples of ideas. Obvious choices being things like "What If *upstanding hero* had turned to villainy?" or "What If *tragic villain* had never *tragedy*?"

Admittedly, through the "light is fire" and "knife in brain" part of my migraine, I can't be certain I'm being coherent, but discourse (in the form of points and ideas and such) is always appreciated.

This would be a cool for the

This would be a cool for the Mission Architect. Alternately, if the NPCs in the game had this it could be a cool mission arc I think.

I remember when Star Wars was cool...a long, long time ago...

Wasn't so much thinking full

Wasn't so much thinking full-on arcs, more like one-off missions. Generally, What If stories don't go too much past one, maybe two comics. They're a "through the looking glass" look at a world where one major thing has changed, and how that affected the subject's life. The example in the topic title, for example. In one story, Dr. Doom successfully saved his mother from hell, rather than his initial experiment exploding in his face and causing him to rage at Reed Richards for the following 60+ years of comics. Instead of becoming Dr. Doom, conqueror and tyrant, he becomes Dr. Doom, humanity's greatest hero. In so doing, his life is drastically improved, ruling Latveria alongside his longtime love Valeria until Mephisto, annoyed at his original victory against him, forces him into a choice between the lives of his people or the life of his love. Doom chooses the lives of his people, vowing to save Valeria from Mephisto. And the story ends there, because we've seen the biggest change already, and we don't necessarily need a Dr. Doom, Hero of the People line of comics.

Arc or single mission, I like

Arc or single mission, I like the idea. Maybe not with Issue 1 -- I'd certainly want the key characters to be well established before we started to look at alternate timelines.

Not sure if you were thinking of time travel or just alternate worlds, but I could see where the former could enable an arc where you go back in time to try to keep someone from becoming one of the biggest arch-villains -- or try to ensure he does, to keep the heroes off your back.

Spurn all ye kindle.

I agree...maybe a bit much

I agree...maybe a bit much for launch but I can see, if the mechanics work well at launch, the first year being lots of mission content. Another thing to add to that 1st anniversary edition?

Admittedly, now that my head

Admittedly, now that my head is temporarily clear of knives and light-made-fire, it wouldn't really work to have What If's be around from the get-go. Players need to have a notion of what the subject of the story is like, not something easily done straight out of the gate. As such, a first anniversary update (There but for the Grace of God?) could see a bunch of What If scenarios for players to take part in.
