I cannot yet claim to be a professional writer, but I have the skills and gift for creativity, and will have my first book published before the end of this year. I don't have anything in the way of technical skills, but if the skills of a writer could be of use, I'd like to offer them.
I played City of Heroes for three years before the shutdown and have long been a fan of the superhero genre. I am very much looking forward to City of Titans becoming a reality, and was ecstatic to see the kickstarter campaign go so well. So, once more, if my writing skills can be useful, please let me know, and I'll be happy to throw my efforts in wherever they can be of use.

I won't say I am a professional writer either but I do have some things I have done: http://chroniclesofmymind.blogspot.com/
I would like to offer my talents to writing stories for the game.
What these fellow forum members say I would like to repeat. I too am in sort of the middle of a book or sorts with a fellow collaborator in Austria. I was well known in COH as having great concepts and most of my 100+ toons had at least established backgrounds....and some had well planned "events" in regards to their stories. I have some stuff on the Crey files webpage and some on that fun Villain page that the name eludes me. I have no idea if either page is still up, but I do have most of that on hand still.

...Dude. I read ALL THAT in Man-Bot's voice and I thought it was genius. Please tell me you'll own the hell out of him and we'll get more of my second favorite (right behind Tombstone) member of Freedom Force.

I'd have to reach out to my old online buddies, its been a while, but I've always hankered for a reuninon
And thank you very much. I appreciate your kind words.
I know I'm late to this party, but I had to throw an opinion in. I don't have anything publish I do have projects I am working on but are no where near completion. I'm not special in anyway just an over active imagination and too much time on my hands. I think just as feedback or opinion based the first release should only hint at a true villain. The initial release should be about the powers and the characters realization of them and the effect it will have on this city. It will bring a true feel to what this world is and what it means to these heroes or even villains. The populations reaction to new and veteran heroes or the disgust at villains old and new. True villains can be born from the this and even expanded on. I read that you had a years plan in advance for where the story should go. In an honest opinion true villains that basically don't want control or money should be the focus and these are the ones that should set the heroes and villains world ablaze.
Just ramblings of my mind. I love what you have all done and wish you the best success.

As an aspiring writer with an active imagination and quite a bit of free time on my hand, I would like to offer my services. I enjoy coming up with backgrounds and personalities for not only heroes and villains, but the everyday folks as well. If you fine folks find yourself in need of some new backgrounds or story lines, don't hesitate to give me a holler. I want to see this game succeed, and I know a good story is a vital component to that goal. I'm eager to help, just let me know how!
I am also looking to add my name in this roster! I am a born storyteller, as much of my fellow writers here have mentioned in their toss of the hat. I have hosted many late night DnD campaigns that were challenging as well as engaging. I have created my own role-play pen and paper game from scratch, of which went through soaring popularity at the college I attend. Role-playing has always played a huge part in my mmorpg life from the very beginning (18 years of roleplaying). Lastly I've been nominated to lead the writing team of many different roleplaying game groups. To name a few:
-Champions Online
-DCUO
-SWTOR
-Star Wars Galaxies
-City of Heroes (back when the game first came out)
and many more. If requested a résumé of gaming and writing experiences can be provided. Please email me or message me if I am the right direction you wish to take this project. -Wayne.Wolf@hotmail.com
I have been writing for quite some time and would love to work on several things but the only stuff published was only on line and recently were pulled down due to trying to actually publish them myself with new content. I would love to help out and try to come up with some good stories like those I remember from the games of past.
To name a few I have been in:
Star Wars Galaxies and Old republic (Beta tested SWG)
City of Heroes and Villians (Beta tested both)
Guild Wars 1 and 2 with expansions
Auto Assault (Beta tested)
World of Warcraft
Champions online
Star Trek Online
Neverwinter Free to play
Rift
Wildstar
I am a born idea man as well as a story teller who could help others with their stories if asked. I would love to be part of this so please contact me at dickspade@hotmail.com and I would be happy to help with several ideas.
Signing up for the writing bit. While I'm like everyone else (unpublished author), I can definitely say I've got three decades of experience doing so. I also work on my own webcomic (currently in revamp), and my novel (a preview of which you can read at www.razorbladeangel.com). I'd be happy to provide other examples upon request.

Please feel free to contact me if i can be of assistance.
I'm not a professional writer, but i have worked on a few concepts and am willing to help out if allowed to. If you need any samples, feel free to send me a message on my account.
Like the rest of you I fancy myself a writer but more a story teller. I think this thread represents the need to have complete story generating machine, a "mission architect" if you will. Whether that is something that appears in the game or if there is a "test" story builder not open to the majority is up to the design crew.
Secondly according to "the devs" the plan is to have very complex mission structures with multiple "win" states and vastly different paths. The general idea being that you can "Sneak, Speak, or Spark" your way through any mission. I think it would behoove us as the donating bodies to work together to plan some signature missions, like a tutorial for gameplay and practice that sort of depth. Before moving on to complete arcs. Watching what we do with our practice stories will also help "the devs" track down what capabilities they need in their mission generators to hit upon each of the three "S's"
It's one thing to write a story for a book and another thing to write a script and another to direct a movie. We are taking all that and mashing it together into a semi-live performance. To follow through with this we must work together and wear many hats and be uncompromising to the goal and comprising to each other and our ego.

As many of the comments of people posted above me have said, I too am not an esteemed published author of any renown, but I do have a PASSION for character description and biographies. I played COH/COV starting at a very young age, and I am now 20 and still have yet to find any game to even compare to the level of professionalism and elegance that COH brought to the MMORPG world.
Now that being said, I would love to be able to be of some possible use. The passion for creating a character also goes so much farther than just the written words and story. The costume, the powers, their personality! Everything. I'm an altoholic, and the only rehab for me is more characters.
I was so stoked to see that this thing really started to get-a-rolling. Just you wait guys, were gonna be making history with this one.
