Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Absorb & Capture Powers

The first "Fable" had a summoned pet ability that upgraded itself whenever the summoned pet killed a creature more powerful then it. The summoned pet would become an ethereal version of the strongest creature it had killed. I don't think that particular dynamic would fit 100% in a COH but it does lead me to the following:

I'd like a capture mechanic where you hit an enemy with a very weak "Capture" attack and if that attack kills the enemy you capture them
*3 capture powers, each capture power is effective on a specific tier of enemy(only 3 pets total)
*all enemies can be summoned once captured but you can only have one pet of each tier
&
An "absorb dynamic that works the same way except you gain the powers of what you captured(with your AT's mods) rather than a pet version of the enemy absorbed.
*50% of your enemies max HP up to 500 HP becomes an absorb shield
*You choose from a pool of your absorbed enemies but you can only use one enemy's set of powers at any given time

I'm thinking all 4 powers could form the basis of a very orthodox MM style henchmen powerset and/or perhaps a control set that's weaker on controls and stronger in the pets

Issue 0 CoH player barely let my subscription lapse before NC Soft called it quits; my incarnate gear *Sniff*
Global: Chance Jackson; Triumph: Liege Cheetatron X, Fight of Your Life, Down Right Fierce, Infernal Samurai, Time May Change Me etc

An easier way to accomplish

An easier way to accomplish this objective would the The Confuser. Essentially a "Mastermind" who confuses Foes into fighting for The Confuser against their former allies ... ie. a Loyalty Flipper. In the City of Heroes context, you'd be able to maintain up to 3 Minions, 2 Lieutenants and 1 Boss, using what amounts to the Confuse Power. Duration is "stupidly long" but Confused Pets do not zone (so they won't exit from Instances, for example).

Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer.

Yeah the main problem with the OP's idea is that it'd eventually become overpowered if the "pets" are allowed to be permanent copies of the most powerful critters in the game. Making it so that this kind of "capture" power resets after zoning would probably be enough to keep this from being unbalanced.

My idea isn't that this would be confuse or replace confusion this would be more like Lore pets meets Hunter X Hunter: Greed Island or Pokemon:
-"Difficult capture" an enemy (of allowed ranks) once and said enemy is deploy-able forever or "easy copy" an enemy (of allowed ranks) with up to 10 copies of a unique enemy and treat copies like any other inventory that can be used up forcing a more conservative use of your captured enemies
-controllable
-Full XP
-Buffable but not upgradeable
-Perhaps even nameable(Difficult capture only)

I put limits in place for that: Only 1 Minion, & 1 Lt, & 1 Boss would be deployed at any given time while the player's max DPS would be lower than other MM sets, the player can offset this with customizing their load out to meet the challenge of the enemy they face.

To reiterate the player would not have a power that could capture and spawn EBs, AVs, Monsters or GMs but I do think an absorb dynamic that allows the player to absorb the essence of upper level npcs cast their essence on the player character and cast upper level npc powers at player mastermind mods would be cool
