Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Layout and Object construction control

I was an avid base builder, I would say to some degree I still am, only I don't have CoH, I just fiddle with minecraft for hours. It spoils me because it's like a huge set of infinite legos, but like CoH it was mildly unsatisfying because there wasn't enough control, or there wasn't a specific thingy.

This leads me to the point, first is that I HATE flat instances, in a 3D environment, stacking areas of an instance should be EASY, perhaps with limitations, but in the RP I'm doing here, our base is in a clock tower, and I'd be truly disappointed if we couldn't make this.

CoH was annoying in a lot of other ways, for instance, setting up areas to be designated hallways and rooms, while I think there should be some assurance people can get through, this could be done with a secondary checker tool to ensure there's some path in the 3D space to a given area. It was truly irksome to have an amazing base set up, the theme in one instance was a warehouse, so sometimes a blank hall wasn't a bad thing, but for other designs like caves and sewers, a square wall didn't work!

There was also the matter of being incapable of building working objects, this I can understand, it's hard to animate polygons, but other games have shown that players can and do grasp the idea of coding an object to move in a space (Furcadia being one niche example of instance coding, granted 2dimensionally)

These really are things other players mentioned or had contention with.

1. Give us control over the shape of the instance(3Dimensionally stacking open spaces, making cones, of curves, or domes), and what we want where, don't make give the rooms arbitrary categories to limit what you put in them, sometimes we've only got to rooms to work with.

2. Let us build some objects, perhaps we pick a category of object and we compile it from pieces provided, designate a function to a polygon section, voila, you made your own teleporter.

3. Provide us with common sensible objects that everyone can use, it would be nice to even have doors, so I don't know, we could lock a room in the instance!

I don't think these are weird or hard to do, just block it out, this section is shaped like a cave, this like a sewer pipe, and so on. I hope others agree with me, sorry if this should go someplace else...

i would like to see glass

i would like to see glass walls if possible , i mad the entrance to my base all out of crystal balls, was interesting but didn't have the ability to make the walls around it see through , with that would be great to have the ability to make a room then if u want there to be a glass part u can erase the wall after the glass wall is up , or whatever someone can imagine as a wall

Yes! That too, seriously, if we could make a transparent wall, we could pick a backdrop for it to open into, which opens even more possibility, we could even just make windows that act as a transparency into the chosen backdrop.

I hope the editing system (Like Coh) Lets you stack desks to make buildings in you SG. I use to go all out on that stuff.

I used safes or bookshelves for a lot of that. ^_^;;

Yes, but in addition to overlap-stacking objects, have a series of generic objects you can stack, too.

E.g. A whole set of square and rectangular bricks of various sizes. Poles of various lengths. Just a bunch of different geometric forms.

A Phase II idea depending on how hard: Be able to custom-color (or even skin) them. Sliders to control their respective parameters.

E.g. A sphere set the size, possibly taking a wedge out ala a pie from a circle. A cone the height and base diameter. A bar is really a cylinder, control it's length and diameter.

If you could create basic tools like that along with color and skinning (from a pre-set list of skins, rock, brick, etc.) combined with overlap-stacking, you'd have a huge tinkertoy method for people to build.

But barring that, just adding a handful of brick sizes (that way you don't need to use desks), ideally with a skin setting, would basically encapsulate half of Minecraft just in base construction.

And, of course, come up with better place/nudge ability, though I do like the idea of a temporary suspended floor ala that white linoleum sheet everyone used, for easy placement of items. That and stacked tall rice paper floor lamps worked pretty well.

I don't think the NCSoft people realized the outrage they'd generate. For many of us base builders, it's as if Minecraft shut down...taking every single server with it, private or otherwise.

EverQuest Landmark, which I

EverQuest Landmark, which I didn't know about, apparently is introducing this. They have resizable "voxels" that you can reskin and make things out of. And then they have a smoothing feature which basically lets you lay out these lil' cubic bricks into some roughly curved shape, then "smooth" it and boom, arbitrary curved shapes. Pretty cool stuff for those of us bitten by base building itis in addition to alt-itis, scrapper-lock, and whatever masterminds were.

I did a lot of stacking and building on my base as well I think I was the only one that did build anything in the base. I had a room that looked like you were in the center of a park with the lighting and the design of it. I also play Minecraft a lot to bide my time and keep the creativity flowing. I was hoping that another mmo came out and let you build a base the way you wanted it to look. while playing Minecraft I got a lot of ideas from it. I used safes to stack in my base on coh myself.
