A few things I would like to see

Just few things I would like to see. Comments on my ideas, and ideas of others are welcomed.

I'm very much a solo player. I don't often have time to find a group and get some missions done. As a mainly solo player there are things that I want in the game that I have yet to see mentioned specifically. This list applies to all classifications btw.

Self heals
Buffs and rebuffs
Good defensive options for offensive classifications and vice versa.

Ideally I would love to create a self reliant character who is well balanced offensively/defensively that has the ability to solo 75% or more of the game content. Whether I choose a tank, ranged, melee, pets or other, I want to know that I'm not going to die one hit, or spend 2 hours killing one mob because I'm only good in a group.

Though I would say being able

Though I would say being able to specialize to create a group-dependent character that is very good in one area is also nice. CoX provided the ability to do this as well, as I did with my empathy defender. Top notch support, but could hardly hold a small battle on her own.

If it's anything as versatile as CoX was - which it looks like it will be - creating great solo characters and great group-dependent characters should be doable.

What I'm hoping for is enough

What I'm hoping for is enough versatility within the classifications power selections so I don't have to do all my specializations with enhancements. I haven't played CoX since CoV came out so I don't remember much about it honestly. But I don't want to be stuck with a very specific set of abilities like they do in so many other MMO's. I.e. level 5 gets you X power and only X power. I would rather the options for X Y or Z powers at a given tier, with options for different play styles.

I think that this will work similarly to CoX in that you have a power set with powers becoming available to you at x or y level which you can then choose to take or not. I don't think they are going to use a free form power choice.

CoH was made at a time where

CoH was made at a time where certain ATs and powersets were made to be team support almost exclusively. It took years of tweaking to allow them to be soloable.

CoT will not start out with the same assumptions.

I didn't/don't expect free form. I feel its too hard to balance and ruins PvP especially. What I do hope for is enough versatility that all characters of one classification don't have to have the exact same powers as everyone else just spec'd differently.
