Well pretty much what title says ofcorse I don't mind if there isn't anything for that but I vaguely remember mention about it in small updates we got.

What is 5000 backers item is?
I don't think it's been mentioned yet.
And if it was, it wasn't in an update.

"We've actually got a pile of throw-on items which we've set to various possible goals, from "getting 5,000 pledges" to "reaching 15,000 comments" all lined up. We've already given away a sizable portion, but still have several more possible ones ready."

They have to go through all of the pledges to make sure they go through.
I am curious as to what the final total *truly* is.
But, I'm sure they will let us know after the week off - :).
Than they should hold off any pledge goal too since there is no saying how much ledge they would get at the end. (maybe that is why only 600k pledge banner is on home page of here hmmm)
In Update #56, Fairyfire confirmed that the "5000 Backers" perk would be the "Amerikatt Shoulder Kitty" costume piece!

P.S. For what it's worth I wouldn't mind if we eventually get many different types of "shoulder pets" one of which could be somewhat Amerikatt-shaped. It'd be great for various magical witch-type characters and what-not.
