Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Extra curricular rewards

Examples
1) Final Fantasy X:
You dodged lightning 100 times (it took about 40 minutes of steady pressing X) you were reward a nice sword for Tidus.
2) World of Warcraft
You raised a pet dragon, trained it, educated it. (it took 3 months) You were granted a mount or companion pet.

Would be fun to have those bonus rewards for small bits in the game that are of the main game but more of a minigame or just that extra for the fans who want everything.

Mini-games would be fantastic.
1) World of Warcraft went up a level of amazing when in their 2nd expansion, they included a repeatable daily quest that involved a Simon Says type of mini game.
2) Have you tried Warframe? New mmo where you open doors, you have to hack the computer system and it's a puzzle involving either tetris style or simple mathematics.

To be part of your future.

If I remember correctly it

If I remember correctly it was more like 200 times. In a row. For Kimahri's weapon.

Tidus' was unlocked via an intensely frustrating chocobo riding minigame that earned my never-ending ire.

FFX is a good example of ways NOT to do extracurricular rewards, because most of them were goddamned obnoxious.

Sounds to be in the vein of

Sounds to be in the vein of Accolade powers, but more challenging and interesting. (Didn't like griding for that last badge)

The plastic tips on the ends of shoelaces are called Aglets; their true purpose is sinister.

They're supposed to be tedious. If they're easy, they aren't extracurricular.

Fishing/Gathering/Crafting

Fishing/Gathering/Crafting/Exploration

All extracurricular activities (unless there is a quest/mission that requires you to do it). Although depending on the MMO, some of these are core gameplay mechanics (Eve Online and their crafting/mining/exploration are valid game play routes... you *dont* have to kill a single thing to do them, although being able to defend yourself is a major bonus, if not essential for *some* area..)

4) I have seen more intelligence from an NPC AI in TR beta, than from most MMO players.

I wouldn't mind having some

I wouldn't mind having some interesting challenges to do to unlock some neat stuff. Long as they aren't hindered because of say the camera (looking at you DCUO and placing a waypoint on the tip of a tower so that when you crawl up it in acrobatic the camera suddenly spins around and ya direction automatically changes so you are suddenly crawling in the wrong direction) And as long as they aren't unlockables that I need to feel powerful or something. (also looking at you DCUO putting skills points in those time trials which i could play without but will never be as strong because i dont have them for that added bonus to stuff)

I wouldn't care if these things were relatively challenging to do or were easy but took a long time to accomplish. I'd rather have something have those qualities than anything "tedious" or "annoying" just for their own sake. I'll probably be collecting Badges again in this new game, and some people consider doing that tedious enough.

Considering that *Some* of them took a LONG time to achieve, unless you gamed the system, I can say that quite a few of the achievement badges *were* tedious to get. Thankfully, for those ones, there was nothing additional unlocked when you got them (looking at the healing/held/damage taken) badges

Some of those Badges took a long time even if you "gamed the system" (whatever that means to you). My main point was this - CoH already had plenty of Badge related "extracurricular" activities that most people avoided because they saw no purpose in doing them. Hopefully if the new game has any "tedious" mini-games assoicated with it they'll either have good reasons to do them or, better yet, they'll make them not so tedious to begin with.

I've never understood

I've never understood grinding for badges for their own sake. Or doing a boring/tedious activity over and over again to improve your skill in some tertiary aspect of gameplay. I wouldn't mind getting a little perk after completing some regular gameplay activity for the umpteen-thousandth time, though. Then it's just a little attaboy for playing. A lot.

That sounds like a tedious goal.
