I realise there is a $3000 Kickstarter reward to give you effectively your own signature character look, but it would be a really good feature if the game offered the ability for anyone to design their own character logo.
This has been done successfully in another game (Pirates of the Burning Sea) by using a peer review process for custom sails and flags, followed by final approval/rejection by a dev.
One advantage of this would be to shift design from the devs to the players. Logo designs could have as many limits as the Devs see fit (pixel size, colours, copyright, legality, taste etc), and would always be subject to unilateral recall.
Even better, might be a logo maker within the game to manipulate stock content. Want your "T" to be bolder, or italic? Check. Want a circle around your starburst? Check. Want to put a checkerboard background behind that rook? Check and mate :)
The Iconic add-on ($150) allows you to design a custom logo for your exclusive use.
It just screams "Abuse me!" I wonder how many custom logos we'd see that were variations of erect penises.

The answer is simple...None
From the posts I have seen, this is intended as a TEEN rated game
A new beginning, forged from hope never ending!!
Beacon of Blazing Faith--The Titan Legacy
I think mrinko is talking about in game, part of the character creator? Greater flexibility in designing your chest symbol?
at Kax: Naw, he's saying unforeseen abuses, something the devs thought ok, but with the right combination and color choices, becomes something rather rude!
The problem is, if it's possible, people will abuse it.

Eve Online has an concept that they call "TTD"...
"Time To Dick": How fast it will take the players to make this new feature into the shape of a dick. It's one of the reasons why they haven't allowed the player base to just use their own artwork for alliance logo's. They all have to be approved by CCP before they can enter the game.
Which probably explains why the Alliance artwork updates take time to filter through into the game.
And yes, players have anchored Giant Secure Containers, set up POS's, set up stuff in some rude configurations...
But also in some heart touching formations as well...

Wow, Gangrel, thanks for that. That was some tribute.
It would be great if we had something set up ready to use, like a holographic statue or something, though I hope to god we never would have to use it.

And I think that's the point - it's pretty much a given that any custom logo is going to have to get approved at some point. The way that Pirates does it, the player review system means that anything crap doesn't even get looked at by the person approving them.
I must have missed the $150 one. Dunno if I'd pay that much. Offering it as a store option (subject to approval and maybe a refund for store points if later revoked) could also be a solid earner (though not at $150). $10-20 price point and it could make them an *insane* amount of cash, given it would only take a casual employee a couple of minutes to approve one.
"Jack, your job is to screen these submissions. Follow these rules, talk to a dev for anything borderline. We'll pay you $30 an hour."
At $10 I would cash shop my own logo as a freemium player.
If a sub fee made it into the game (which is what I would do in a heartbeat) I would love to see a 1 per month logo creation limit, with the option to make the logo publicly available if it was approved. (I am thinking supergroup logos)

Mulling over this matter some more, a lot of what is probably wanted could be handled just by adding a few parameters to a logo. For example:
Field (none, plain, checkerboard, etc)
Border (Circle, Diamond, Shield, Oval, None, etc) - edge thickness as an attribute
Charge (Letter, Number, Fist, Animal etc - the simple picture normally classed as the logo)
would pretty much cover all the logos done before in City and add a few more interesting options without requiring the devs to keep a massive list of minor variations.
Location and size as logo attributes would also be an excellent thing. Chest, right breast, left breast, belly, back, right shoulder, left shoulder, cape etc. Multiple or repeated logos are sometimes seen on costumes (i.e. many uniforms have a patch on each shoulder). Chest and back are also seen - e.g. Spiderman.
Anyway, some thoughts.
KS rewards are thank-yous for generous donations. They are not priced as items for sale. Thus, if they ever do become a sales item in the cash store, its price would be based on cost of creation and what the market would bear.
All character-created logos and art assets are done in conjunction with staff and need approval.
