I have a question. When designing the UI for the game are you taking into account how it will look to a colo-blind person? Although I am not effected by this, I have a friend who is colorblind. Most of the time this is not a real issue, but there was one instance in CoH that really was and that was patrol XP. He could not differentiate easily between the purple XP and the blue patrol XP. If it wasn't for the slight gradient on regular XP he wouldn't be able to tell them apart at all.
It's just something I've been meaning to mention as you work on the UI design.

I would imagine that with "player customization" being a big part of this project, that there would be the ability to set custom colours in the UI to a certain extent.
I can't speak for the team obviously, but I do imagine they have taken UI customization into account, if not, then its a great suggestion! :)
I figured something like changing the window color (like we could in CoH) would be available but things like HP and XP bars I would not expect to be customizable. Mind you if they were I'd have no problem with that, but it would still be a consideration for the default colors when you first log on.

Purple XP?? there was purple XP? really? (I am colourblind, and I honestly didn't know there was a purple xp bar!)

The regular XP was a shade of purple, yes. Did you have similar trouble with the patrol XP?

Nope, though they were both Blue to me the intensity was different enough to make it clearly different.

As I said, he was only able to tell the difference by the gradient on the XP bar, where as patrol XP was flat. Still , I think it is something to think about, or at least let a colorblind person look at it and give you feedback.
