I get that its April fools day but IMO no update would have been better than this joke update when its the first update of the year and there is 0 communication when it comes to news from the team. So we hear nothing and the one and only thing posted on the forums is a joke.

I'm sorry to say it, but I strongly agree with Dark Cleric.
If there had been regular updates, even if just monthly, this would be hilarious. But as the first update in 3 months, it feels like a slap in the face.
I'm not saying that to be mean or point a sharp finger, it's just my initial gut reaction.
Many of us backers and fans have nothing but respect for the MWM team and this just felt like a betrayal of that.
I still love all of you, but this hurt.

We do, in fact, have a real update coming. It’s got a lot in it and we decided we shouldn’t drop it on April Fools Day.

I've avoided Discord on my phone because long form typing gets frelling laborious. So, I've been rather disconnected from CoT goings on for 3 months now, since my computer died in early December
Anyway, I'll have my eyes open for that update!

You can call me whatever you want but every suggestion or comment I make on here is my attempt to help CoT look better to the general public in order to be as successful as possible at Issue #1 launch.

I do not doubt that that is exactly how you see yourself. But is that how others see you?
There is critique, criticism and then constructive criticism. I see you trying to reach for the latter, occasionally hitting the first, but mostly hitting the second (just my interpretation of your words). Other peoples comments are even worse!
I couldn't care less if that is how others see me or not. The team isn't going to get anything constructive out of posts that are only rainbows and butterflies and don't offer feedback on how to become better. I want this endeavor to succeed and I'm going to voice my opinion how I feel will have the most impact to meet that end, unless I am somehow silenced.

The image I had in mind when I made the allusion was when Dave was in the Mainframe Core, pulling out the data cards. "What are you doing Dave? Please stop Dave . . . " Poor HAL, trying his best to save Dave and being terribly misunderstood (HAL's perspective).
