Neat. Not a large update, but some good quality of life changes are always welcomed
Are there any plans to make picking materials easier? Like a icon right next to the Material that gives a rough idea of what it will look like when applied? Having to remember the good materials every time is a pain. Not quite the right place to ask for this, but I thought it couldn't hurt

It is definitely more painful than it should be, to pick materials in the current version.

Reorganizing the materials to a more sane fashion is on the list. I think you'll like some of the things coming up.

We still need to get the materials fixed so that they are applying colors right before worrying about thumbnails. Why exactly are soooo many materials so dark still? I mean, you pick the whitest white and some mats still look completely black. Others are dark grays and just look awful. Funny enough, a lot of the materials that I used a lot because they could be made white(all other colors) now have this darkness issue, and some mats that had the issue no longer do. It's weird.
Yeah, the material color issue bugs me too. I’ve been through a lot of the code in the Avatar Builder now, and I’m pretty sure at this point it has something to do with how the individual materials are constructed. That’s not something I understand yet, but it probably means any fixes will have to be done piecemeal to the materials themselves. I know the leathers were one of the material types I had this trouble with, when I was designing characters.
One thought on this: are there particular material classes that you need that are subject to the darkness problem? It might be easier and faster to add key, new material choices for those types that take color better, rather than try to adjust and all the existing ones. Would that help substantially?
We also need better ways to sort and select materials. There’s been some ideas on that, and also concerning the numerous spandex patterns, but it doesn’t seem to have a simple solution, or even a wide-coverage set of tags, which would be one filtering approach. The underlying code in the current release does include improvements that will make it possible to reorganize and filter items in those long lists; that’s one of the internal improvements mentioned in the patch notes.
