Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Buildings

I thought it'd be a neat idea to have a convention center that's like a base, in that devs can give one player per month (or whatever) the opportunity to set it up for different events. A home and garden expo, cars, technology, supers-oriented, etc., etc. Maybe even allow some random stuff so people can show off base building skills. It'd certainly be easier than having people tromp through personal or SG bases to see some cool things, plus it'd provide a bit more variety and life to the city.

It's an interesting idea. Maybe the Devs could set it up so that players could bid for the right to "rent" the space using the in-game currency. The highest bidder would get the space. I'd suggest making the rent time just two weeks - a month is a pretty long time in MMO terms.

Also they could put in a simple rule like "if you've got it rented now you can't rent it again the very next term" just so that other different people have the chance to win it from term to term. If nothing else it would probably be a huge currency sink.

Personally I'd want to use real currency, if this sort of thing is something we do. Another great way to keep the servers paid for.

You could probably set it up to require the use of the "game store" currency instead of the "in-game" currency. That way people who really wanted it would have to pay real world money to outbid everyone else.

While that could provide some extra monthly cash to MWM I could see where some people might complain that it'd be a borderline "pay-to-win" scenario because they'd argue that only players who could afford to spend all that extra real world money would ever "win" the right to rent the Convention Center. I could see that being especially true if people started bidding relatively large sums of money (say over $100+) for the privilege.

Either way, the management of

Either way, the management of Xanadu Resort Hotel would be interested, so long as it doesn't interfere with our bid to host KublaCon East.

Cue Cuba Gooding Jr.

Cue Cuba Gooding Jr.

Two weeks is a good turnaround. A month is a long time in a MMO, although if whatever is in the convention center coincides with a month long event, so be it!

I suggested something similar

I suggested something similar to this before. Using stars to "rent" in game locations as a base. Everything from a basic sewer plate to a skyscraper. Larger buildings would have public facing areas where anyone could enter. IE you can enter the "Legion of Catgirls" building downtown and see what they have set up there. Perhaps they would have a guild NPC that would give out something akin to a radio mission, that would be LoC-centric. These would be far more prestigious sites and singular. Meaning that only one person or group could control them at a time. There would still be the "general access" bases that any group could use. This would allow for an auction style back end where groups could bid to purchase access. Once a group wins access they would be required to pay the rent on that location. Rent would be predetermined and static. There would have to be some sort of semi annual reset to allow other groups to have a chance at popular locations. But MWM would get to double dip. They would get both the auction price and the rent in stars. I would expect that rent for the biggest and most popular bases wouldn't be more than 25USD/month in stars. But auction prices could be 100's.

It was a whole thing.

Sleepy would go NUTS decorating that place. Can you imagine the Giant Ziggurat built from shiny chrome trashcans?

*Bonus - It would be a crazy mirror-maze on the inside*

It's a good thing that, even this early in the morning, I have enough self-control / respect not to make a 'Legion of Squirrels' comment.

Close call, though, I'll admit that.

Who's gonna want to put in all that work just to have it be wiped at the end of the month though?

I know a certain sleepy cat

I know a certain sleepy cat that would be very thrilled to decorate such a large space. So long as she doesn't have to pay 10000gold for a sink. That said a month isn't very long, the amount of work that would go into a single player decorating the space would be enormous. I feel like this is something where everyone could access a virtual space to decorate and then there would be a lottery each month for whoever's space is actually displayed to the public. This would also all devs to verify the space isn't offensive. IE all the stalls form a swastika or spell out something obscene.
