Biography:
High school, first loves, and young drama is something that can surround the personal lives of any teenager unless you're the regular, mild-mannered Arthur Simek. Arthur grew up as an only child in the Hollybriar neighborhood of Aurora in north Titan City with his parents Charlie and Maria Simek. Unbeknownst to Arthur though, he was actually born as a Psy-Active, an individual gifted with psionic power or potential due to a unique bio-electric frequency their brain resonates and connects them to the metaphysical "mental plane" of reality. However, due to the fear of what would become of their son if he were to ever discover these powers, Arthur's parents opted on putting him on a special medication that would suppress his mutant genes for years until they had appeared to be completely "erased" from his biology.
Many years after this during his freshman year in high school, Arthur would go on a field trip with his best friend, James Morgan and his science class to GenSense Technologies, a struggling, rival biotech corporation to Tyrosine. This field trip was supposed to be both educational and informational as Arthur and the rest of his class were apart of their high school's magnet program and the teacher wanted to give the students a jump start on where they think they might just want their brilliant minds to be going upon graduation. Arthur was not having it however, as he was mostly bored with the presentation and everything the trip had to offer, choosing to only go in order to support James as he had high aspirations for doing something in the STEM field. During an attempt to sneak off and find a bathroom after neglecting to go the previous times bathroom breaks were being taken, Arthur winded up stumbling within the vacant lab of Doctor Roman Taylor and upon his work station desk, Arthur found a 5-inch long metal canister that, unbeknownst to him, was loaded with an experimental compound called Omicron. With his curiosity getting the better of him, Arthur tampered with the device until he accidentally released the compressed Omicron gas into the room and exposed himself to what would later become a major mutagenic change across his entire human physiology on the molecular level.
Arthur had little-to-no idea what was happening to him as the Omicron gas was gradually enhancing his once normal body to superhuman status and it also reawakened his lost psionic powers that his parents had chosen to dampen all those years ago when he was just a baby. These powers eventually came to express themselves in several unique ways such as ripping knobs off of doors, unintentionally shattering his alarm clock, and even greatly damaging the top of his desk after accidentally falling asleep in class and snapping awake so suddenly. The freakiest occurrence had to be during an isolated instance where Arthur was able to catch a can of soda tossed at him by James and Arthur stopped it in midair as his attention was elsewhere during this exact moment. Hypothesizing that Arthur's powers must've been acquired sometime after the GenSense field trip, James conducted several week-by-week "training" sessions with Arthur in order for the both of them to get a better grasp and understanding of his powers.
As time went on, Arthur became a little more proficient with his powers after testing them on chunks of scrapheap at the local junkyard. He eventually began to slowly use his powers for personal gain and fun, using them to escape his social life for a few hours by frequenting late night or mid-afternoon strides across the Titan City rooftops in a red hoodie. Lacking an interest in sports or any after-school clubs paired with his overall disdain for school, Arthur saw his powers as the escape he, personally, had always asked for and wanted as they allowed him a backdoor into a whole new world they he had only dreamed of. Eventually though, Arthur saw his rooftop adventures turn into acts of vigilantism as he used his psionic powers to protect the innocent from two-bit crooks and thugs after hearing various cries for help, thanks to his new enhanced senses, that couldn't go unanswered, knowing he had the power to do something. It would be through these acts that he made local headlines and social media accounts as the Urban Ninja or even better, The Scarlet Striker, this media-given alter-ego became easily recognizable as well due to the signature red hoodie Arthur seemed to frequent during his early adventures and knack for having a scarlet-colored glow emanate from his fist whenever he would engage criminals in combat.
However, even though Arthur had his new powers and vigilante persona to later accompany them, life wasn't all peaches and cream for the fledgling superhero. During one unfortunate evening on Take Your Child to Work Day, Arthur attended his father, who was a foreman to a construction site. Whilst here, a generator malfunction caused Arthur's father to investigate the faulty piece of equipment, but Arthur's newfound psionic senses forewarned of him of the danger his father was about to welcome himself to. A mix of conflicting emotions in Arthur's courage and self-esteem caused him to be unable to use his powers to save his father out of fear of what he would think of him, thus resulting in the generator not only exploding his dad's face, but also landing him in a coma and paralyzing him from the waist down.
Falling into a deep depression for days, this event caused Arthur to quit acting as his vigilante counterpart for a long time before a high-speed car chase prompted Arthur into the "hero life" yet again. Making use of a prototype "grapnel bracer" he had originally made as a school project and as a way to impress his high school crush, Laura Bryant, Arthur swung through the streets of Titan City in order to stop this car chase before someone was to get hurt. Also in the process of doing this, Arthur saved an aspiring costume tailor by the name of Olivia who would come to pay him back for this heroic act in the future.
Upon successfully stopping the car chase, Arthur was thanked, praised and cheered by all of the nearby civilians who watched this entire act unfold. Cherishing every bit of the moment and reflecting back on some wise words preached by his father: "A true hero uses his strength to combat unnecessary evil and his heart to save those that are caught in that evil's crossfire.", Arthur decided from that point onward that this would not only be his legacy but would be his redemption for being unable to protect his father and almost losing him due to his cowardice. Arthur soon reconnected with Olivia, the tailor he saved during the car chase and she gifted to him an "official" superhero suit as up until this point, Arthur had just been making use of a red hoodie as his "costume". Gladly accepting it and thanking the girl for the hard work she put in to make it, Arthur came to finally embrace his destiny as Stuntman.

Powers and Abilities:
Psy-Active Physiology/Omicron Serum Enhancements:
As a Psy-Active, Arthur's brain resonates a unique neural bio-electric frequency that connects him and other Psy-Actives to the Mental Plane, a once-thought-to-be pseudo-scientific plane of reality where the thoughts and minds of others resides, allowing the user access to a degree of different psionic powers. However, because Arthur's status as a Psy-Active was detected much earlier than most, his powers were suppressed through power dampening medication his parents put him on until they essentially "disappeared" from his physiology. That was until years later, Arthur's accidentally exposure to the Omicron serum reawakened these lost powers as well as provided him with a few superhuman physical aspects as well.
(Superhuman Strength) - Currently, Arthur can lift up to around 7 tons, (Superhuman Speed) - run faster than most of his school’s own track and field team and is even able to exert hours of energy before eventually becoming fatigued. (Superhuman Stamina) - His muscular system has also seen steroid-like enhancements thanks to the Omicron serum and thus allows him to fully exert himself both physically and mentally for what can be hours at a time before tiring, (Superhuman Durability) - His body is inhumanly resistant towards impact force as he is shown to ‘tank’ hits from superhumans of far greater strength level than himself and even survive collision against solid concrete buildings, structures, and even explosions. (Superhuman Agility/Reflexes/Equilibrium) - Finally, Arthur's agility, reflexes, and equilibrium are self-described as "off the charts", possessing a background in both gymnastics and amateur parkour. Because of this Arthur can pull off very nimble and acrobatic feats that rival Olympic-class athletes and gymnasts and achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable by instinct. (Hyper-Steropsis) - His brain can also intake and respond to stimuli at an accelerated rate, alerting him to dangers around him through the use of his enhanced senses, his body does the rest as his reflexes immediately take full control and allow to effortlessly dodge and counter most attacks aimed at him.
Tactile Telekinesis:
A power-set that he had possessed since birth but was massively suppressed through power-dampening drugs until they were awakened thanks to the Omicron Serum, Arthur has regained full access to his original telekinetic powers.
Surrounded by a psionic field that expands up to 50 feet minimum and 80 feet maximum, Arthur has what is known as 'tactile telekinesis', an otherwise rare usage of psionic power that is utilized explicitly for the use of melee combat. For Arthur, his tactile telekinesis works in three ways: Physical, Proximity, and Contact.
Physical usage of his telekinetic powers usually sees Arthur psionically enhance his physical capabilities to varying degrees in order to properly adapt to any threat he is to face, the massive downside to this however is that it is the most taxing aspect of his psionic prowess due to that it can actually leave him physically and mentally exhausted and vulnerable when forced to go beyond his natural limits. As for Proximity and Contact, the usage of his telekinetic abilities are limited by whatever is to be occupying his psionic field (Proximity) and whatever he is to come in contact with or whatever is to come in contact with him (Contact); although typically whenever any sort of physical contact is to be made between Arthur and the other object or person in question, Arthur then has free independent control and manipulation over that person or object in particular due to an invisible “psionic tether” that is then formed between the two of them. The only downside being that this tether lasts for a couple of seconds before it ultimately fades over time.
Whichever comes first, Arthur can prove himself to be a rather formidable psionic combatant as with either of these usages of his abilities he can control the battlefield to operate in his favor by ripping chunks of rock from out of the ground, alter the atmospheric pressure that his TK field takes up, create force fields, disassemble people and things, shoot telekinetic blasts, and even manipulate or alter certain laws of physics to work against his opponents in order to act as "rug-pull" and come out victorious in a battle due to the unexpected nature or limits of his telekinetic abilities.
Of course, a lot of these abilities are and can be taxing on both the body and mind, thus is the reason why Arthur is quicker to depend on his superhuman physicality rather than telekinesis and ultimately chooses to not use them unless absolutely necessary or needed. Arthur personally finds that it is better to use his telekinesis as a hammer or as a scalpel depending on how he sees a battle or opponent. Essentially meaning that depending on who he is up against and their level of power, strength, durability or overall threat level, he will appropriately adjust his telekinesis to work in whatever way is necessary in order to actually stand a chance against whatever foe or threat is to come his way.
Enhanced Senses:
Arthur's senses have been greatly enhanced to superhuman levels, describing them to be ten times better than what they normally were. The most notable of these enhanced senses is perhaps his olfactory and auditory senses. Arthur is able to perceive sounds and scents from over several meters away, though these can be rivaled by those with more keen and animal-like senses.
Energy-Enhanced Combat:
Arthur can infuse his attacks with raw psionic power to further enhance the effect of his otherwise amateur combat skills. This has become his primary method of offense and helped earn his namesake as 'Scarlet Striker' due to the red-colored energy that is usually seen emanating from his hands when he incorporates this said energy into his physical attacks. It does appear though that Arthur is limited to using the energy in melee range and can't properly project it into a ranged attack.
Psionic Jump:
By fully utilizing his superhuman-levels of speed and agility, Arthur is capable of performing “super-leaps” and jumping considerable distances to and from buildings and obstacles that are located far apart from one another. Arthur’s enhanced physiology seems to have developed an internal hydraulic system which alters the pressure of body fluid within his legs, enabling him to jump up to 80 times his body height without an increase in leg muscle mass.
Regenerative Healing Factor:
Stuntman can heal faster than the normal person, capable of fully healing and recovering from intense injuries in a matter of hours.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Equipment:
Stuntman Suit:
Originally starting off wearing a red hoodie as his "costume", Arthur eventually was promoted to an "official" superhero suit after saving the life of an aspiring costume tailor during one of his early adventures. The Stuntman suit, while its primarily spandex, does still carry a few other necessary essentials such as it being composed from a special material known as Resilium, which has shown to be bullet and flame resistant and doesn’t tear nor take damage (easily) when slashed with bladed weaponry. The suit's color scheme also houses a few hidden functions that are segmented by the use of an angular design, that divides the colors into their own individual sections. The black is where the flexibility resides and allows for a more fluid range of motion, while the red and white areas of the costume is where the armor-reinforced materials are housed to protect Arthur from the onslaught of powers and weapons he can come face-to-face with. There's also a built-in Wi-Fi and radio receiver that grants Arthur with wireless internet access, direct communications, and police band transmissions so he can receive real-time information and updates on current crimes in progress.
Finally, the suit possesses a set of "underarm glider wings" that are concealed within hidden pockets that run along the armpits to the sides of the hips and are activated via the conduction of a small static charge thats generated whenever Arthur swipes his arms down from the sides of his torso to his waist and hips and then extends his arms outward, activating the glider wings. The wings themselves were incorporated with piezoelectric fabric substrates that, upon activation, would cause the wings to unfold from the suit's pockets and allow for Striker to utilize them in areas where he is rendered unable to swing.
Grapnel Bracers:
A pair of twin devices that are strapped to each of his wrists, Stuntman utilizes these ‘grapnel bracers’ as his main way of transportation throughout Titan City. They consist of a highly flexible monofilament cable with a tensile strength of four metric tons which is compressed within the containment device that is the bracer units. The cable itself is then propelled outward via the use of a compact, pneumatic mechanism built within the bracers and a trigger function that runs along with the palms of either of Arthur’s hands. Upon activation, the resulting build-up of pressurized air inside the bracer(s) causes the cable to be propelled outward and being able to catch hold of whatever it is initially fired at. The incredible high tensile cable also allows Striker to support people and objects of varying heights and weights.
⦁ Disk Launcher:
A secondary function of Stuntman’s Grapnel Bracers, by loading a cartridge of spring-loaded disks, he is able to fire a barrage specialized projectiles at his enemies. Some examples include taser disks and flash disks.
Ricochet Discs:
Stuntman’s Ricochet Discs are stored along the belt/waistline area of his suit and have the ability to bounce off walls and hit targets with incredible force via a thick, black leather covering surrounding the discs to ensure non-lethal injuries dealt against enemies. Surprisingly, Scarlet is able to throw these with pinpoint accuracy, precision, and dexterity although one could assume his telekinetic powers must give him some kind of edge when he is to use these weapons.
Grapnel Splitter:
The grapnel splitter is the sister device of Stuntman’s grapnel bracers. The splitter works by way of a miniature device that fires two separate cable tethers horizontally and suspending its target in place. There's also a special magnet/adhesive on the device's bottom so that it can be stuck to a target and have its tethers activated remotely by Striker.

Trivia:
Inspirations that played a key part in Stuntman's creation was:
⦁ Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja (Disney XD).
⦁ Ultimate/Spectacular Spider-Man (Marvel).
⦁ Ricochet (Marvel).
⦁ Mutant 2099 (Marvel).
⦁ Superboy (DC Comics).
⦁ If a voice actor were to be provided to Stuntman, it would be Jason Marsden, primarily due to his voice work in shows such as Kim Possible and Young Justice.
⦁ A possible face claim for Stuntman would be that of Colin Ford.

"If I am to die in battle, Remember me for who I was and not what I've become..."
Wait a minute, you renamed your hero for Stuntman?
"Science is the gift of humanity that we all should treasure."
Yes, primarily due to how Scarlet Striker fit more as an alias/nickname/title similar to how Batman is recognized as the Dark Knight, Superman = The Man of Steel, The Flash = Scarlet Speedster, Hulk = Green Goliath, etc.
In character, the names Stuntman and Scarlet Striker would most likely be used interchangeably depending on who is speaking to him. But at the end ot the day, I did a lot of thinking and settled on Stuntman being his new name after opting on backing out of making it a new character entirely.
The name also fit more due to how the job profession of a stuntman best reflected the physicality and gimmick that Scarlet Striker had going with him. (Ex. Having a background in parkour, being superhumanly agile, dexterous, and mobile as well as using grapple cables as his method of transportation and even wielding grapnel-based gadgets as well.)
"If I am to die in battle, Remember me for who I was and not what I've become..."
Ah that make sense.
"Science is the gift of humanity that we all should treasure."
That's interesting!
you ever played sentinels of the multiverse? There's a guy named Stuntman there too only he's a hollywood themed apex human.

I actually didn't know that nor that Sentinels of the Multiverse was even a thing. In fact, my very first draft of a character named Stuntman was actually based slightly on Nightwing (albeit with a costume that influenced by the style and color scheme of bull runners seen in countries like Spain, I believe). Perhaps, my version of Stuntman is just a variant of the version that appears in Sentinels of the Multiverse :P

I love your hero. It looks so cool. I am so happy I have found this website, I will surely visit the website every single day. I love the City of Titans game and I love to gather more information on that game. I was searching for a site online through which I can take help to write my food delivery service business plan and when I was searching for it online, I have also found a link to your post.
Heh, thanks! A lot of effort and dedication went into making him. Can't wait to finally bring him to life in CoT once the fae foes live.
