This "snate" fellow.... He brings up those little irritations that can really, and I do mean really, make a huge difference in the environment of the game. Its brilliant! Even if its only a few buildings per street, like just restaurants/banks, the immersion that brings would be phenomenal. Tip my hat you good sir~

I agree, it's all in the little details that can really make a good game, great.

In a city populated by Hero's/Villains of different masses and sizes it only makes logical sense that some businesses would cater to such clientele.
Maybe the local "Super Slice" has an outdoor sitting area with large flat benches or rocks to accommodate the larger customs. That they might sit and enjoy a slice with a frosty beverage of choice ;)

Just saying, you dont need to try and program all the PC's to be able to sit/lounge/drink etc from a one-size-fits-all chair.

I think how they had it in CoH, with sitting in chairs worked well,

Not every MMO you can do pushups on a chair :D

I'll throw sporting events into the mix. If not something that can actually be watched in-game, it'd be something that could come up on the news and more NPCs, cars, etc. could gather around one stadium or another for two or three hours a day.

Elections! The city has to have a mayor or president or chief council member or something, at a minimum. Wouldn't it be nice to know who will be handing you the key to the city, just as soon as those numbskulls recognize your worth?

It'd be lovely if seasonal changes could be a thing, though that might be asking a lot.

I'm pretty sure player housing, or at least personal storage is already on the table at this point.

Restaurant chains. I listen to the Cape Radio, and the Cape made several "commercials" for restaurants and stores in City of Heroes... and a few that were [i]implied[/i] in game... and at least one that hopefully never existed in game (Vahzilok Burger... with their "special sauce" ((BLURG!!!)) ) It would be nice if they had more fodder for commercials like that.

Billboards promoting said restaurant chains. Billboards you could smash through. Fly into. Knock enemies into.

As for chairs, I like the way World of Warcraft does it: you hover your cursor over the chair and you get the choice to interact with it. Interacting means sitting down, in one position -- but WoW has many disparate sizes for characters, from child-like Gnomes and Goblins, to tall Night Elves and Tauren. The smaller races have their legs dangling off the edge of the chair, and the bigger races sometimes look uncomfortable (and sometimes there's clipping issues, but what-ya-gonna-do?), but they can all sit in chairs.

Admittedly it's not always easy to envision Etinarg the huge rock-monster sitting on a bar stool... but maybe the bar stool is made of an Unobtanium Alloy that will support his weight.

Or, and here's a thought, when you click the chair to interact with it, it re-sizes itself to fit your frame. It might have to move so you're not clipping the table or bar, though.

If it isn't a floating/flying casino, I'm not interested.

This is way in the weeds, but some kind of bar with open mic always on where users could play music (upload soundcloud files or something similiar) and others could come in and listen while taking a break from missions or grinding. I suspect (but don't know) this is completely implausable, but would be cool.

The music would almost certainly have to be played from an existing selection. If it is left for the players to play their own music there is the risk that is explicit or otherwise offensive to others.

Mmmmmm.. it seems I'm running low on goat's blood. Time to make a run to Villain-Mart, the only shopping franchise that caters to that diabolic need. This week at Villain-Mart save 2 dollars on smoke machines when you shop with your CrimeCard and get buy-one-get-one-free on henchmen and scientists. Villain-Mart! Well I wouldn't really call "supers only" places hokey. In a world where anything can exist there are going to be beings that can't eat normal human food such as vampires who can't drink anything that doesn't have blood in it , or robots that run on gasoline or some other form of energy source, or even werewolves that can't stomach cooked food, and as such there will probably be people out there with the great idea of catering to those people who can't eat anywhere else with not only the food that they can eat, but also utensils that they can use like for example, if there's a common alien species out there without the proper limbs to grab a fork or knife and therefore has to eat a different way with a different utensil not found on earth, a place that serves their kind would have those utensils set aside for them. Maybe they would even have things like chairs that are bigger or smaller than usual so that different sized creatures could sit at them comfortably. It always bugged me in pocket D that they only served human drinks in a place meant for people who aren't exactly human, It didn't feel real to me like all the supers didn't feel like they belonged there with all the various restaurants that refused to serve food they could actually eat. Therefore places specifically meant for supers and the like should be apart of this world we're all making, and therefore if this feature is ever implemented it should include places like this.
