It’s always amazing to me how few short hairstyles i see - particularly done well. Some haircuts I would love to see:
-High and tight
-Princeton
-Fade
-Just a neatly parted style.
I’d also love to see some medium length hairstyles of varying levels of frizziness. Talking shoulder length, not necessarily Afro, just... kind of frizzy big hair. Messy tangles, but in many games that seems to translate into “Einstein mad scientist.” Not sure I’m conveying that very well.
What about a “tied up Afro?” One in which you tie back your hair and the ponytail is a big poofball.

I'd love to see more black hairstyles. I read somewhere that a big complaint a lot of African Americans who play video games is that they can't make believable representations of their race, a lot of the time the best they can do is make white people with darker skin tones. And a big part of that is the hair styles.
A lot of games have like, corn rows, afro, and maybe dreadlocks and that's it.
Also more curly hairstyles in general would be nice.

And there's absolutely no reason why there couldn't have been a micro-targeted thread made just for hair. At least having a new active thread named with the word "Hairstyles" in the title was a better choice than trying to resurrect a [url=https://cityoftitans.com/forum/discuss-meet-titan-hunter-robins]year-old dead thread[/url] named for some random Redname. A year from now when a Dev is looking back through this forum for costume ideas they'll now have a chance to find this thread and actually use these ideas.

Guild Wars 2 has quite the selection - their latest expansion pack "Path of Fire" takes place in the world's equivalent to Africa, and the devs took the opportunity to add a whole slew of face and hair options to the game that were specifically designed for black folks, and when they were added there was a couple weeks where Reddit was simply flooded with "thank you" messages from black people. I took screenshots of a few so you guys can see what I mean.

If I recall right, [u]all[/u] of the hairstyles in CoH had two colors. I always used this feature to give characters 'uniquely' colored hair or to produce good-looking highlights, whether white and blue, black and blue, or red and gold. (For example) This could be problematic when 'hair accessories' were involved since they often picked up one of the colors. So I agree with the OP and other posters elsewhere, that I'd appreciate multiple, even Many colors for hair.
I think my favorite was the 'Glam', hip-length, wavy hairstyle. And the 'Gamine', for your Kusanagi-like characters. A few of the others got used as well, depending on the character... low-ponytail... etc. etc. etc

Hairstyles from many different countries, cultures, and time periods would be awesome.

This, this, a thousand times this. We're never really treated as a priority when it comes to character customization. I'm so , so tired of those three options we get. All my black characters end up looking the same in every game because of it.
I remembered posting about this on a forum for a game and getting the passing-aggressive "I'm sure they're working on it" before getting talked over by six different people wanting DBZ hair. I mean, I'd like to actually make a character that looks like me for once.
On the topic of black hair, there's a tumblr I use occasionally as inspiration when choosing hairstyles for black characters. I forget his name at the moment, he was a dev, might still be, a lot of the character devs come in and seem to disappear. Not sure if they are busy or just get bored and flake out. Maybe they realize just how much stuff needs to be made and just get out. You'd need 10 designers working full time to keep up with the beast that is the costume suggestion thread (and it's spawn)

But his specialty was hair. He made lots of hair styles for Skyrim IIRC. Good stuff too and he had made a commitment to making more black hairstyles.
I do hope it works out and he has been plugging away in the background. Although IIRC there weren't as many options listed in a recent thread about the CC as I would have expected if someone had been working on hair pieces for the last few years.
EDIT: Hunter Robins. His introduction thread became a hair suggestion thread that was recently brought back from the dead. FleshForge is also a character designer that has done some work with hair. It doesn't appear that Hunter has posted more than three times. Which could mean many things...

Hey! Can you find a picture of your hair style? I can't make any promises at this point but I'll try to nudge things if I can. We really want a broad variety of hairstyles across the ethnic spectrum AFAIK and any input will help. I'm not sure what our limits are but I'll try to pass on any ideas.
