Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Hello Fellow Heroes!

Hello CoT family,

I know many of us have been waiting literal YEARS for this game.... Personally, I cannot wait to get my hands on it. I can't wait to just create a hero and customize them with tons of auras. I hope the team at MWM is having a blast designing and making this game their own.

My question to you all is: What are some features you're excited to check out?

Alas future 'heroes I bid farewell...

Nic

Can you call Aesthetic

Can you call Aesthetic Decoupling a "feature"? I feels bigger than that. But yeah, I'm most excited for the variation possible in one character :)

I'd say it's both a feature and a system, though feature doesn't really have a scope or "size" restriction.

I'm with you though on that that is the most exiting part of the game.

Vigilante or hero you're all

Vigilante or hero you're all more than welcome here! Aesthetic Decoupling is an awesome feature I'm exciting they're bringing to the table. Put the power in the hands of the players.

Character generation for sure

Character generation for sure. But second to that, I would say I'm looking forward to everything else. Seriously, I'm equally excited about every power, be it punching, zapping, flying, running, using the in-game chat to talk with the CoT community, exploring Titan City...

I am genuinely equally excited about all of it. But if I was forced to pick one mechanic of the game to try out after I have made my characters, it would be the story. The idea that the story is so dynamic and organic has me really excited. This could be the first game to truly make me convinced I am playing my characters' stories. :)

That's the beauty about superhero MMOs'. I can recall having a dream about a vigilante villian that was a brute. This was just when CoV was released and, it was just so unique being able to make a story about your own character. You really felt connected with that character.

I also feel like aesthetic

I also feel like aesthetic decoupling is the feature about which I'm most excited!

Another really exciting

Another really exciting feature I'm looking forward to is the buildings. I'm a longtime MMO fan, and I must say the buildings and models posted to the MWM instagram have me pretty pumped. They're so defined and well created I'm just excited to see this game in action deployed. The character creator looks pretty fun to play with too watching some of the snippets of videos get me pumped.

I'm excited about leveling up

I'm excited about leveling up my first hero, then deciding he's all wrong, and starting over for realz the second time after learning what's good and what's not so good on the first toon. I'm also ecited just to fly around and explore everything there is to do in a game world again.

I'm interested in Super Teams

I'm interested in Super Teams, Leagues, and global channels. Admittedly a lack of info didn't stop me from starting a Super Team/League around 5.5 years ago. :)

Hello fellow hero, hero fella

Hello fellow hero, hero fella! I’m most excited for aesthetic decoupling as others have mentioned before. The mission system also seems sooo much more robust and interesting than anything I’ve seen before, allowing for a lot of replayability and so much more opportunity to flesh out your character and really make it yours.

And exploration. I’m ridiculously excited for exploration. I hope the zone music will do it justice!

Hard to say just one thing as

Hard to say just one thing as it takes everything coming together to get a great experience. I'm looking forward to immersive stories but if the animations are...I'll say 'lacking', that can kill my fun pretty quick. Vice versa is also true. I'm confident they have the breadth of lore needed for a lot of immersion-building play, but I'm nervous about the amount they can feasibly get in the game with so few volunteers. I've seen enough of the chargen to feel pretty confident that it's going to be awesome. They've shared enough ideas in their lore to have a very diversified and complex list of enemies to encounter throughout the game...again the only worry is the lack of sufficient volunteers to get it all in the game.
Last, the world itself. Every game I play I enjoy the actual world...or i try to. So those tedious missions that take you across the map I try to 'sight-see' along the way and enjoy the world-building that went into it. I'm really looking forward to this in CoT. Theoretically if I take flight at level 1 I should be able to explore nearly the entire, playable area at launch and stay above the threat range of higher level enemies. The update that shows off the city, rendered in-engine, in the game as we will see it is the update I'm most looking forward to. Even more than combat and aesthetic decoupling.

Compulsively clicking the refresh button until the next update.

I don't have any specifically that i want, I'm more talking about how well they are designed. I'm confident that thread has every animation suggested I could want, i'm also confident that the devs are going to create at least a decent variety starting out. Like chargen pieces, i'm sure animations will be added throughout the life of the game. It's the quality of the animations that im talking about. I'm not doubting their ability; that remains to be seen as far as animations go.

Quick example. You make an awesome looking character, you jump into the game and it looks amazing and the user interface is great and you grab your first mission and its already immersive and then you run up to your first enemy encounter and use your kick attack and your leg barely moves, like a little shuffle. It just looks terrible. Obviously that's an extreme example and NOT what my expectations are but if the animations are just...sub par...that could ruin it for me.

Such was a huge let down in TSW combat.

That was one of the biggest things that killed TSW for me as well. It just felt clunky all the time. I still sign in from time to time, but it has never really seemed to improve.

Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.

Same, total uninstall reason for me with TheSecretWorld.
I finished tutorial (in some sort of open beta, I played the tutorial but didn't buy it, therefore it was either a trial or a beta) and that was it.
Animations need "impact", if you're attacking your character needs to give you the feeling that it's putting some effort, it's giving to punches or kicks some momentum. City of Heroes was very very good on that, Super strength characters were great for me (and I speak about the older slower animation, not the new speedy one, which still had momentum but I prefer the slowness for "powerful" attacks).

That's mostly because the animations didn't change all that much, if at all, from the conversion to SWL from TSW. I also log into SWL on the rare occasion but it's getting harder and harder to maintain interest in their glacial content generation.

I had a similar let down with a kick option in Champions Online. Just a little stump of a push kick. I then made a leprechaun toon who used it to shin kick everyone and couldn't stop laughing.
