Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

In the rush today

When I woke up this morning, had a lovely message from Kickstarter, giving us some adjustments they wanted to the KS before approval. Of course, jumped right on it, but did so in such a rush, I forgot to update everyone.

It does mean some adjustments to the KS, which we are working hard on and we do thank you for your patience.

Damn the wait is killing me though, lol.

Any idea if this means another 2-3 business days to get re-approved?

I certainly hope not, but as the day gets later I wouldn't hold my breath for today at least.

I've discovered so many neat things on KS while I wait. A button for my Android phone? Oh yea. Wallets, key-chains, Gyroscopes? Sign me up! Pretty soon and I'll be out of money.... :P

I see it this way, the later

I see it this way, the later it starts the later it ends.
And considering that I get my wage slave wage between the 15th and 20th of each month, I really wouldn't mind if the KS ends around that time.
In which case i could pledge more^^

Peoples, peoples!

Peoples, peoples!
It's going to be a couple years before we even get the game! A couple more days at this end is nothing!
Let the poor guys do their job so that the "T's" get dotted and the "I's" get crossed!

Doesn't the Kickstarter run for 30 days?
Because I'm gonna have to wait for my check, too.

I believe you may be confusing excitement for impatience. ;)
There may be a few exceptions, but after reading all the posts in the forums, I think the community is behind MWM and their goal to get KS done right so that we end up with a game we can be proud to call ours.

What will it be listed as?

What will it be listed as? There is already a Phoenix Project & a Project Phoenix on the kick-starter web site. I would just like to know where exactly & what I'm looking for.

I think they hinted that -

I think they hinted that - because of those other projects - they may have to reveal the name of the game early. I'm sure once the KS is approved they will tell us exactly what we should look for - if not a direct link.

I'm not 100% sure what title they will be posting it under. The last info that I recall being relayed to us, was that as soon as the Kickstater goes live, they will post links to it here.
I imagine it will be very hard to miss all the hoopla once it does open up.

Quick note, it would probably

Quick note, it would probably be a good idea to keep everyone updated as much as possible through the status update blogs - setbacks happen, that's a fact of life and everyone knows that, but radio silence on public channels after one can wreak havoc on both morale and public perception.

Part of the problem I see at them moment is that some of the sites are getting updated with information and some are not.

For example I believe it was mentioned in a subcomment on Facebook that they wouldn't be re-submitting to Kickstarter until late today. That information is not on this site as far as I have seen, nor mentioned via Twitter.
So, some people are seeing the updates and some are not, which can cause issue with people getting frustrated that it's now been almost a week since Kickstarter was supposed to start and nothing is happening.

Those of us that HAVE seen such comments understand that delays happen and, for myself, don't mind waiting a little longer.

While it's way later down the line, but hope they thought about it at least.

building a game with volunteers is one thing. They can come and go and take their time. But running a game with volunteers is another. MMOs usually require tech support and given that an MMO run 24/7, that is very hard to supply effectively only volunteer basis and not many people are going to be keen on being stuck into a wall or bugged in other ways for days until someone can take a break from their day job.

Then of course since from what I gather is going to be some sort of sub, that means they will need some sort of payment support, again, usually not effective with merely volunteers that come and go and work during the day and only have a few hours if that to fix stuff afterwards.

Then of course going back to tech support, probably should have someone hanging about just in case of server crashes, and other widespread game breaking bugs or error happens. And all of that on top of making updates and possibly fixing bugs or making adjustments, account problems, connection issues, moderating the forum, still fielding questions, while taking care of the business aspect and budgeting, and possible fighting off legal stuff friv. or not, purchase problems, credit card problems, reward problems, and at least until everything is delivered, kickstarter people wondering where is their stuff.

If the volunteers are already feeling the crunch, they have a long road ahead of them when the game get released, unless of course this is one of those release and forget cases. Right now they have the luxury of coming and going and going at their own pace. But when the game is released, someone has to be manning the ship, and especially when given mod power, those people should be impartial, regardless of past feelings for certain people, and regardless of their friendship with a person and be ready to respond to all types of complaints from all types of reasons.

And before someone say it "Yeah I know some games like CO have sucky tech support." There it's out the way and I hope there isn't a aim to start off with sucky tech support especially when that is usually the time when the most bugs are found. Unless there will be super metic. bug testing and squashing during the test phases that would eliminate every single bug prior to going live. Which is ideal but usually don't happen like that.

Yeah we know they are volunteers, because that seem to be said with every other message. We get it already. But you are still a business. Says so right there on Washington State's Business directory. For profit LLC and the riding the excuse of volunteers only will go far once the game is released.

Like if the cable keeps going out and you paying for it, and each time you call, they tell you to "wait, and you should be glad it's on at all because these are volunteers that work a day job and do this In their spare time so be thankful it's on at all." That excuse wouldn't fly with a business for most people that I know of. Right now it's all fun and games but eventually there will be expectations to act like a professional business. volunteers or not.

Honestly?

Honestly?

They are volunteers now.
By the time the game up and running, in two year's time, there will be a full staff of paid employees.

Cool. It would make sense that they are planning on having full staff and part of that 4 million goal is part of that for paying a staff in the beginning.

Hopefully they wont wait until three days out to start hiring folks.

Is that a definite actual "will" or just another tentative plan? :p
