I have gotten this error 3 times and it has twice been preceded by a page which is blue on the left side and white on the right. No text or other items appears on this page.

What type of server load is the site doing so far?

Questions about the forum.
1. There is no options to mark the forum as read - sorry some threads I just have no interest in reading
2. No option to follow a specific thread (as in a notification via forum it's updated or by email)
3. RSS (I used to follow the Mother Ship raids via RSS, when somebody posted up update on the thread I could get it via RSS reader of my choice - yes, I love my RSS feeds)
So... would any of this be a possibility?

not on the main page, but on the sub-pages there is a drop-down box labeled forum tools on the lower right, "mark as read" is one of the options.

My comments wasn't meant to rush now but as a possible option in the future though I thank you for following up with some information.
yeah what ever they did, I havent been getting errors, the website layout looks like it's improved, it's easier to read and follow. It's still simple which isnt a bad thing nor the problem, but it dont look like nor act like a hot mess.
Last night, i was getting 502 and 504 and just plain old "server too busy" errors...
i get "server too busy" errors at least a couple times most days i visit the forums. Most frequently when first accessing the forums, and occasionally while browsing.
In theory there's no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.
On the CoH forums at the end i went by the name Schismatrix.
