Emanation points = firing

Emanation points = firing points. A ranger shoots a beam of energy. It can come from his hands, his eyes, the center of his chest, his mouth. his shoulder kitty...
that is what I refer to when I say emanation points.

actually I didn't say that, my friend did...but you get the idea.

I'm campaigning to have nostrils as an emination point. I kind of want the ability to shoot fire from my nose.

This is probably why they don't let me design animations????

Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.

Would be cool to pick costume points as well. For example: spikes on a helmet, fins on gloves, antennae, belt buckle (not crotch), etc....

One I WANT but am definitely not expecting/anticipating is emanation points in the air AROUND the avatar’s body. Laser blasts from the air around has always been a cool effect to me.

Did I see in a video, or in my mind, beams emanating from multiple points, converging several feet in front of the hero to form a single beam to hit the target? Is/Can there be 'team' versions of this? I.E crossing the streams ala Ghostbusters?

I wonder if the emanation

I wonder if the emanation point are linked to the power animation chosen.
I mean, chosing an emanation point as the forehead should not give access to a power animation which , for example, will make the forehead oriented to the sky isn't it ? Are, the list of power animation, the result of what we choose as emanation point ?
I think this update could give us lot's of explanation on how the aesthetics work together :)

If my understanding and memory is correct then emanation points will "filter" what animations can be chosen for that specific point. Also consider that "power animation" is separated into several parts like character animation, projectile animation, and particle effects.

My understanding is, Yes.

The limitations I know of so far in regards to power aesthetics is that we will be limited to two props and two aesthetic themes (like fire, ice, and so on) but within those limitations you can make the powers as varied as you possibly can or want. No choice for a specific power will affect what you can choose for another specific power.

2 themes you choose + the

2 themes you choose + the default 'powerless' one which is pretty much 'whoosh lines'.

Those 3 themes can be spread across all your powers how you see fit.

Every move gets it's own choice of animation, AND you can color the same theme different ways for different powers. (example: Blue fire on melee slap, red fire on your damage aura)

This is all tied to costumes, so your other costumes can have completely different themes, props and animations.

If I understand it correctly, I could set up my Ranger with one costume of a police officer where all emanation points are the cop's sidearm or occasionally a heavier weapon like a shotgun or grenade; with a second costume where he's in an “Iron Man”-like Power Armor where he's using repulsor blasts from the palms of his gauntlets, pop-up shoulder missile launchers, and a helmet-mounted laser; and with a third costume where she's a witch with fairy familiars floating around her who do all of the attacking for her through bursts of elemental power.

An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".
