Dear Devs: A Prop Question

I'm just curious if there's already a list of props that will be in the game. Are more being made as time goes on? A nice list would be good start. I ask because some would seem to just require different animations than some others.

Whip set? Chain set? Pistol Set (Dual or Single)? Just normal broadsword and katana, and not likely to get something akin to Titan Swords or a Ssangsudo?

Will there be a staff animation at start? How many styles of Martial Arts? Just from what we've seen?

For range sets, the animations can likely be the same movements for a lot of themes. What about the weapon wielders?

I take it that this is more about the the overall class or category of props since they have bought a module that modularizes sword generation and what they showed was that every sword was generated by choosing hilt cross-guard and blade separately thus being able to essentially "make" your own prop. Demo video also said it was built to also be extended to include other categories/classes of weapons so I think that at least all melee weapons will be done through this system, though I'm hoping for that any weapon can be done through this system. Sorry, can't find the post with that. Thought not sure how it will handle size differences outside of the inherent size difference of the individual pieces as in if you can scale the ready prop from dagger size to titan sized two-hander.

So talking about sub-categories like broadsword and katana is largely pointless imo. Now swords will probably have the widest representation at launch due to the "prop generation" module already coming with so many pieces (afaik) but I think there will be some for most, if not all, categories/classes of weapons at start to be satisfactory for most.

But I do agree, a list of categories/classes of props they have planned for launch would be appreciated.

I'm fairly sure that that module is designed to be that flexible but you still have to tell which parts category can be combined with what other parts category and in what way, as in which "side" connects to what other "side" on the parts. You don't just throw in a bunch of parts and hope for the best.

Unless MWM chooses to I don't see us getting gun-hilt-blade nor sword-chuck combos, even though the system most likely can support it.
