Sometimes I feel like "Soon" is worse than "Don't know yet".
Just had to get that out of my system.

Really all comes down to how many years you have already been waiting..... :D
Everything is relative....

Besides everyone knows the "game Dev" definition of the word Soon™ is any time between next Tuesday and the Heat Death of the Universe. ;)

That's the truth.

I'm sure the Devs are about as much on pins and needles as we are. And I imagine it's tough for them because they've stated and it's obvious that they really do want to give us something more than "good enough". I really believe that they are trying to bring us a genuinely great game. On (what is in the MMORPG world) a shoestring budget, and so with mainly volunteers--hence the Soon(tm).
I'm NOT saying this to belittle the agony of the wait that you're expressing, because I feel it too. My whole family does. Just to maybe to help ease it a bit if possible? I don't know, they say misery loves company :). Just last night my wife was trying to play a game she doesn't really like because she misses having a really good game--as I have done many times (CO, DCUO, TSW [which I want to love, I've tried so hard], etc.).
I think we've all been on the edges of our seats so long that our butts hurt.
FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)
Absolutely! My better half doesn’t do gaming so she is at a loss for what to say when I’m Jonesing for the game. A game I am anticipating to be a brave, new, and I’m thinking much better version of COH. There are so many really tantalizing ideas bandied about by both the devs and all of us having patience truly is agonizing.

When we began, we had two options before us:
1) Throw together something quick and rush it out the door, regardless of how poorly it performed, what features it wouldn't have, etc.
2) Take the time to build it the way we want it, and do it right the first time.
We picked the 2nd, and while it's taken us longer than we anticipated, it is coming together well.
Sure, we could have taken the MMO Starter Kit, some off the shelf fantasy-targeted character system, and pushed it out the door, but would anyone have been happy?

Obviously that is beside the point. We want what we want, we want it PERFECT right from the get-go, and we want it YESTERDAY. We want ALL the options, WE WANT EVERYTHING. There better be NO bugs, every system better cater to EVERY player. There better be expansions galore, completely FREE-TO-PLAY without P2W. This is ALL we are asking for...it's not like we're asking that much. Goodness. Surely it shouldn't take you guys more than a few hours to put this together, so stop delaying.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
Obviously in the long run everyone will appreciate the choice you made here. That doesn't stop people like me from making jokes about "Devspeak" from time to time. ;)
And actually to be fair most of the Rednames related to MWM have thus far been reasonably good at managing our expectations for when things are going to happen. At least you guys haven't been like Elio Motors who've been announcing the "imminent almost any-day-now release" of their 3-wheeled autocycle for about 6 years now...

Of course we would have been horrible if you had done that! You guys are absolutely doing the right thing and we love that you are!
Like I said just Jonesing here is all.
Keep on keeping on...
I’ll just keep taking these placebos, it’s all good! No pressure....

I keep telling myself that between Paragon Chat and Mids' I'm going to make it however long "soon" might end up being. I think it must be some kind of pyschosis that I keep fiddling with or outright making new characters in Mids'
I just miss having a virtual social life. The game was the cherry on top.

Didn't we learn that with Half Life 3?

Honestly, after reading the Half Life 3 story, I'm not surprised they never made it.
"Guys, all I'm asking is that you make the ship concurrently exist in all times and locations, even other worlds, because it's supposed to be potentially everywhere/when at once. So do that, but also with stuff to shoot."
