Mid-update, Lore. It's looking like the next one will be more about Augments rather than chargen - Integration of chargen and alpha is hugely important but doesn't make a lot of footage.

I think he's wrong, I think Rick Henshaw is no longer the last one. Codebreaker may now know enough to find out whatever Scorpion doesn't want known.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm as interested in more info about Augments as I am about the chargen, so either will make me happy. Also glad to hear the integration is proceeding, even if it's not shiny.
Spurn all ye kindle.
She's part of Paragon. She's de facto a problem for every villain in Titan City.

Nifty!
I went after augments as a backup option because it's both a very important update to release and of great general interest, making it a good stand-in while we get past the very important integration and back to stuff that makes shiny videos. It may still be an unusually well illustrated update...

I gotta say that I'm excited that (IMHO) the lore is as good as the visuals and the game mechanics. Triple threat!
FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)
I am currently going through tip missions assessing map needs. Those aren't even the big stories, and they're good. Look very entertaining.

Nice episode.
Codebreaker's concept quirk is fun. And thank you for making Anthem an interesting character as well. The backstory between her and Bloodwatch sounds like good story fodder for the future. And speaking of story fodder: their carapace needs instructions to use, the super strong chrome prosthetic, and ageless Serqet are all some things I'm looking forward to seeing firsthand when the game comes out.
I like to take your ideas and supersize them. This isn't criticism, it is flattery. I come with nothing but good will and a spirit of team-building. If you take what I write any other way, that is probably just because I wasn't very clear.
I really do like the lore here. It's just weird enough to let you know it's a comic-book, but the characters take physical weirdness in stride, nearly ignoring it, which makes it a very open-ended setting for character design.
I'm guessing Bloodwatch's enhancements have their own "brains" or mini-processors, which is how he does what he does. He reminds me of an Octopus, because their tentacles have neural tissue and so the arm itself is doing some of the thinking so the main brain doesn't have to.
As for Codebreaker, she seems like she'd be a bit teal most days, but at least she's never cinnamon.
Yes, more lore. I love when I get the chance to see how the world goes, and I loved the fight scene. I could picture it pretty well in my mind.
I'm going to make a feature request.
This latest update says that it's Part 3 ... but there are no links anywhere to Parts 1 and/or 2. Additionally, the Cape Chaser page for Scorpion doesn't have links to Parts 1, 2 or 3 laid out on it.
So I'm thinking that it would be a good idea that whenever there's one of these "What We Know About ..." updates that the corresponding Cape Chaser page for that group get an update to link it all together for anyone who comes along later (like, 1-10 YEARS later) and wants to look up this information in an easily accessible manner to get the Lore bits together.
Slightly surprised to see that Codebreaker is so "easy" to understand here, such that you don't need a decoder ring to figure out what she's saying.
Even more surprising, Codebreaker seems to be right on the money for the safest place to stash the guy she's protecting, even if that place isn't all that "safe" objectively speaking.
The tidbits of info leaking out from the training/indoctrination are honestly tantalizing, making them interesting. It also makes you wonder about the types of people who would "eat this up" despite being the manipulative propaganda that it is.
Over 150 years?!? Man, there's got to be some kind of story going on behind THAT!
My favorite part of the confrontation between Anthem and Bloodwatch? The property damage! The fact that she just rips off an A/C unit and clobbers him with it is such a quintessentially "super strength" move that it's essentially the equivalent of ripping up a piece of pavement and throwing it. It's one of those "improvised weapon" moves that is just so comic book-y ... but then Anthem thinks about what she's going to have to do to FIX the damage that she's caused, which is just brilliant. Seriously nice writing for that scene too.

Fun lore update. Thank you. Love the concept for Codebreaker- A savant that can break codes/find patterns but struggles to break her own code to communicate it to the rest of the world.
Hi !
As i'm translating this news for french people, i have an issue with a sentence ^^
Could someone help me in explaining what the writer means with "She didn’t get Codebreaker in a lot of ways - most people didn’t, and not for lack of trying". As "get" is used in many ways, i'm not sure to understand it in this sentense.
Should i understand get in touch or bother or contact or...

In this context you could replace the word "get" with the word "understand". So when someone says "I don't get you" it's a casual way of saying "I don't completely understand why you do or say what you do" or more simply "I don't understand your point of view". It's usually in reaction to when someone says or does weird or unexpected things. Hope that helps. :)

It helps a lot ! :) I can translate that as "Elle ne comprenait pas Codebreaker, comme la plupart des gens mais ce n'était pourtant pas faute d'essayer" ! That's perfect !
Thanks a lot Lothic :)
