Name ideas for a sexy powerful superheroine

I like all types of heroes and I think they should all be represented. The very sexy, very powerful fanservice kind is no exception.

I've had an idea for a superheroine that was inspired by Ms. Marvel/Binary/Warbird (before Marvel turned her into Captain Marvel and it all went to the toilet). While Carol is the inspiration, I've altered her backstory from what it was so it doesn't have an alien origin, a military background, and actually justifies why she's a fanservice character (they never really bothered to explain why Carol wore such revealing costumes I believe). She now stands as her own character after some thought was put in.

Back in the early concepts, before I differentiated her, she was going to be called "Star Lynx", but since she's not related to space anymore it wouldn't make much sense.

Another name idea I had, but decided against, was "Empowered" due to being a magically empowered human who also behaved in an empowered manner. But since there's already another sexy blonde superhero with that name made by Adam Warren, it may not be a good idea. Since this forum hasn't let me down before, I figured I'd take it upon myself to discuss with others.

Here's what I have so far:

The character is a superhero. She can fly, has super strength and durability, and has energy blasts. The kind you would expect. She's also got a sword, which she channels her energy into and can summon it for combat.

For her appearance, it's a tight red and yellow one piece suit that fits around her. The area above the cleavage has a Power Girl-like open window to demonstrate what she's got. She wears boots (which aren't heeled, because she's fine the way she is) that reach to her thighs. She has gloves, which are asymmetrical. The left one is a standard one that reaches to her wrist, the right one reaches to her shoulder.

Bio:

What I have so far. Any ideas are welcome.

Her real name is Miranda Newman. She's a tall (5'11") 33-year-old blonde woman who's also very stacked. In her teenage years, this caused her distress because she would get so much attention and they were often a burden, but she's since grown out of that. When she became an adult, Miranda became an archaeologist because she had the desire to travel the world and see all sorts of amazing sights since her youth. On a trip to Acropolis, Greece she was excavating a site when the ground beneath her broke. She fell inside, and was injured from fall. With no means of contacting the others deep underground, it seemed like all hope was lost.

But then she discovered she was in the ruins of an underground temple. There she found an enchanted sword of origins unknown. The weapon was untouched for a very long time, and then when she held it, that's when it happened. She became empowered by the blade, gaining strength beyond that of a human, flight, and the ability to summon energy. She burst out of the underground with all of her injuries healed and became a superhero. Having grown out of her phase of insecurities, she donned an outfit that flaunted her inherent sex appeal. Happy to fight crime and supervillains, and look good in the process, she continues to this day in Titan City.

As you can expect, she's a very confident woman but also serious. Yes, she's very happy to look sexy but she's also determined to do good above all else and values the lives of the innocent more than straight-up winning. She can be kind of a hard-ass when it comes to being giving orders, but it's not without good cause. Also, Miranda is rather sensitive about her age. She does not like being told or implied in any way that she's "getting old" at 33, and hilarity tends to ensue when that happens.

Any suggestions?

Athen's acropolis and a sword

Athen's acropolis and a sword. Could she be anyone but Athena?

But then you said it was buried beneath the Acropolis, so maybe it preceded Athena. So let's look to the Titanides for inspiration and we get Styx, goddess of oaths of allegiance and the underworld River Styx. She brought her children Victory, Rivalry, Force and Power to the side of Zeus in the Titan-War
I like to take your ideas and supersize them. This isn't criticism, it is flattery. I come with nothing but good will and a spirit of team-building. If you take what I write any other way, that is probably just because I wasn't very clear.

What armor? Oh, you mean the tiny thin pieces of metal tied to her? It'd look better on top of some chainmail or something.

But at least it seems to have some sternum protection, so there is that.

Athena the goddess of wisdom,

Athena the goddess of wisdom, war, and handcraft is public domain. That image (and others inside, presumably) would be copyrighted. All you have to do is come up with a different look. Powers that tie in more to her traditional image are less likely to support a case for a lawsuit.

Titania is already a villain in Marvel Comics and a queen of the Fae since Shakespeare, so the name would be good, just keep clear of the villain's costume and appearance.

Hekate is more associated with magic than swordplay.

Acropolis? That's the hill.

More ideas: Spatha is Greek for sword. Spathic is a geology term meaning (according to Spider Robinson) "having good cleavage". ^_^

Spider Robinson knows lots of good words! And he's not afraid to use them in creative ways.

Building on the architecture

Building on the architecture in her origin story...

Loggia - architectural feature. A covered exterior gallery or corridor usually on an upper level. The outer wall is open to the elements, usually supported by a series of columns or arches.
Loge - the balcony seats in a theater.
Cantilever - I'll stop now.

Well there are four swords of significant note in Greek mythology if those Harpe and Peleus are the probably the nicest sounding. Since herabilities stem from the sword I would go with something stemming from those sword names. Personally her description made me think of the word Tempest. Yeah I would go with Tempest but that’s me. Good luck!

If not Athena, one could go

If not Athena, one could go with Kyrie Eleison, which is Greek for 'Lord have Mercy' Or 'Lady...'

I just imagine that being a 'normal' reaction of the ordinary citizen when confronted by a person of super-heroic form, "Lord have Mercy!"

Of those mentioned so far, I tend to like Styx and Spathic.

I might also recommend Espada a type of late Roman sword. If she has any Spanish ancestry it would make it even better.

Thank you for your suggestions and insights. I understand your concerns about copyright and the potential for legal issues. I will certainly keep them in mind as I develop the character.

I agree that using a name that is already associated with a well-known villain could be problematic. While Titania is a beautiful name, it is perhaps best to avoid it for this character.

Hekate is indeed a fascinating figure, but her association with magic might not be the best fit for this character, who is more focused on swordplay and combat.
