Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Emblems

First, Almost as important as costumes emblems can make or break a character. Please for the love of God make sure that you have a maple leaf. To this day DC Universe Online still has no Maple Leaf for our Canadian pals.

Second, one of the things that blew me away early on in Champions online was the fact that you could put your emblem on your chest your back and your forehead if you desired. My Recreation of the fighting Canadian in Champions online was a mixed bag in terms of results. However the biggest yet simplest addition that Champions online allowed was the addition of the emblem on the back and the forehead.

Please, can you look at that concept and get that capability in the costume creator for CoT?

It's one of those things where I didn't know I wanted it until I actually had it. It just added so much more to it just added so much more to my character.

Thank You!

Agreed on the placement of the emblem!

Calico, my pyschokinetic cat girl, has the cat symbol on the back instead of the front and I love it :)

Hopefully we can get emblems

Hopefully we can get emblems that we can move and place freely like a wrestling game. They usually have robust character creators, though incredibly complex yet hard to make something that looks half decent without spending hours at it.

(Legit in modern wrestling games it can take several hours to create a character as you have your attire, your backstage attire, your entrance attire, your entrance, your moves, custom special moves, custom taunts etc etc... _._)

Where champions online falls

Where champions online falls short is limiting the back emblem only to tights. If you wear a jacket or armor, you don't get a back emblem. You could still select it, but it'd be under the jacket or armor and so not visible.

When I picture Edward in CoT I picture him having an emblem on the back and/or upper arm of his jacket. I figured he'd have a reversible jacket, and when something went down, would just turn it inside out and maybe add one of those useless hide-your-upper-cheekbone Zorro masks to signify he's not there as a bystander. It's the kind of ultra-minimalist vigilante outfit I think someone like that would use, given that his identity would be impossible to keep secret anyway due to obvious genetic differences.

This practice would be impossible on both CoX and CO, though.

The image of a car on a cat brings back particularly disturbing memories from my childhood.

Hopefully we'll get lots of options for emblems. I'm hoping for realistic and simplistic versions of most of them.

I guess the world isn't ready for Weiner Man.

I don't see why not.

I like to take your ideas and supersize them. This isn't criticism, it is flattery. I come with nothing but good will and a spirit of team-building. If you take what I write any other way, that is probably just because I wasn't very clear.

I'm salty af over the idea

I'm salty af over the idea that the devs will have to okay every custom emblem or combination in case someone makes a naughty sign then CoT gets banned in the EU or some nonsense

This conversation reminds me

This conversation reminds me of a conversation I had a week ago, wondering if Hogan's Hero's would be prohibited from being shown in some countries, and surprised by the fact that they didn't blur out the swaztikas on the US TV due to this day and age of hyper sensitive whiney types.

Hogan's is surprisingly even

Hogan's is surprisingly even shown in Germany, but they have a lot of fun with the voice dubbing. For instance, in their version, the Nazis are so dumb, they can't get the "heil hitler" salute right, and keep saying the wrong things. And in an episode where, in the US version, they were trying to drop bombs on Britain, in the German version, the ultra-dumb Nazis were instead trying to drop condoms on Britain in order to make there be less British.

I think Hogan's Heroes was/is so universally recognized as a "total spoof" of what happened in real life POW camps during WWII that it gets cut quite a bit of slack in the "superficial swastikas shown on TV" department. Heck most of the actors who played many of the significant German soldiers on the show (including of course Klink and Schultz) were actually Jewish IRL and had even lost relatives during the war.

As with most things where you can potentially have "whiney types" it's usually a matter of context. Since the core premise of the show (whether you enjoyed it or not) was to cast the collective German military of the WWII era as being "incompetent buffoons" it's easy to let the questionable bits slide. Had the show actually shown the Germans to be effective and/or victorious then it might have been a completely different matter.

An interesting little tidbit

An interesting little tidbit in last night's Twitch stream about emblems, as we saw one of the model dummies sporting 4 in various locations.

(insert pithy comment here)
