"For example, if you choose to mock an enemy in front of his cohorts, he’ll remember that mockery later on in a related story and be all the more disposed to revenge."
Dialog choices will give you the opportunity to mock the villain...How can you NOT choose to be a smart-mouth?
Villains NEED to be mocked! and it will be so sweet to defeat them again and again!
So sound off, is your hero going to enrage the enemy or not.
for me, this will be my MO from now on!

Yes, considering part of my back story is that I'm an "outed" hero. The particular faction I end up chosing as the nemesis that outed me will be heckled mercilessly.
Heroes get remembered, but Legends never die.

Oh, yes, there will be mockery!

I'll play it by ear.
Edward will mock the heck out of anyone with undue self importance. "Do you know who I am!?" types will get a good mocking. "I'm special because I'm the fifth heir to the whatever clan of whogivesacrap" will too. Not so much others, though.
I really hope they give us at least one scene like the one in Six-String Samurai. There's a part where he's in the bar. As he's walking through, he shoves his way past someone who yells in his face "Do you know who I am!?" to which Six-String immediately responds "No" and knocks him out with one idle hit. The knocked out character is never seen again and has no part in the plot. Brilliant! =P
I want to make a villain who mocks the heroes.
I like to take your ideas and supersize them. This isn't criticism, it is flattery. I come with nothing but good will and a spirit of team-building. If you take what I write any other way, that is probably just because I wasn't very clear.
On some characters I will/might. It depends on the character and how their personality reads to me.
Example: When I played SWTOR, whenever I was on one of my Smugglers or Bounty Hunters I basically ALWAYS chose the sarcastic/mocking/smart-ass remark. It just fits the character. With rare exception, I'd didn't really choose sarcasm for my Jedi, because it just didn't seem genuinely in-character for them.
Agreed. Mocking seems to me to be a more villainous activity.
Spurn all ye kindle.
Will vary from character to character for me. Some will be mockers others mockless.
Hopefully we can have varying levels of mocking. From dumb "Yeah? Well... Shut up!" To smart "You're a cephalopod I'm an arthropod can't we hug it out?" (That one is very specific I realize it's just a great line from the spectacular Spider-man cartoon)
"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
Stellar Agent won't, not his style.
5800 Kelvin, though? Oh, heck, ya. Totally; "If you can't take the heat . . ." and all that.
Dead-pan mockery. Best of both worlds.
I prefer Smarm.
Be Well!
Fireheart
It depends on who the villain is, if they are a jerk I will gladly mock them into submission. Mainly I will use strategic mockery. If the mockery will put anyone in danger I will skirt by and hold my virtual tongue.

Agreed. As noted in Cinematic Texas Law, "Some folks just plain need mocking."

Who doesn't love a smartass?! c'mon :p
I just hope it doesn't make the Fallout 4 mistake where most of the "sarcasm" lines are just "blunt asshole" lines

Only if it draws the enemy into putting itself into a weakened position or making an error. Otherwise a clean dispatching of a target is the best route.

I just think of Game of Thrones Telltale, where whenever you mock the enemy, your whole family usually ends up getting killed lol

Deep-pan mockery. Italian-style vs Chicago-style.

Italian-style, of course. Homage to my heritage.
I prefer Italian pizza made by *REAL* Italians!
