It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Random Encounters

How could would it be if our heroes/villains were randomly attacked by our nemeses? Much like the SoM franchise includes.

I wonder if this will ever be a feature...

As foolish as this seems,

Gotem.

From ya boy, Elios.

Champions Online had a

Champions Online had a similar feature but it was severely lacking.

SoM, Shadow of Mordor, right? Never had much of a Nemesis on there I tended to kill all the Uruk who had names... To the point where only Ratbag remained. Any that actually managed to kill me were hunted down ruthlessly and I made sure they couldn't return.

Anyway a Nemesis system has been talked about on here a bit. There's a lot of things to do and do well to make it not feel as hollow as Champions' system.

Well SoM's nemesis system

Well SoM's nemesis system would be too big to copy code for code, since a lot of space for the game has to be put aside to make it an MMO in the first place. It would have to be a lighter version of that system.

not my video just one I lke ===> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6-SdIN0hsM

It couldn't and shouldn't be a system like SoM's. People would want to make their own Nemesis for one. I think they were mostly just talking about the Nemesis showing up to ruin your day like in SoM.

It would be neat to have a sort of Nemesis takeover for some missions though. You think you'll be facing whatever villain group but your, or a party member's, Nemesis has taken over the operation replacing the enemies with their own and would be the boss at the end.

I remember posting an idea

I remember posting an idea along these lines a while back. In searching for it I came across pages and pages of threads devoted to the whole nemesis idea. Most of the posts were made back in 2014, so I guess it's about time for it to come up again.

Here's that post I referred to, if you don't feel like following the link:

Things like that should be "sprinkled" throughout the game so that random cakewalk missions might just become memorable for having an unexpected obstacle to keep you on your toes. Half of the drama of comic books comes from characters getting "trapped/tricked" into situations they weren't expecting. I'd want the potential to have a random jail room or a temporary "power debuff room" that makes you temporarily weak as a challenge to potentially spice up ANY mission, not just end-game ones.

This would be really nice to set up some sort of meta-story to introduce characters to some ultimate nemesis.
So, let's imagine the player gets defeated in some run-of-the-mill mission and rather than going to the hospital the character finds himself or herself in a 'prison' where we discover some lore about who captured you and why. This could be an overheard conversation, a laptop we can hack into, some papers lying around, etc.
Then make sure that this happens at least once every five levels until level 20. We might even get a visit from some senior henchman or executive for the nemesis, or maybe even from the nemesis itself while we are in prison. Something about how they just need to run a couple more tests, or maybe they are trying to avoid some prophesied event.
Then after level 20, you are able to piece together all the clues you've gathered in all these prison visits to kick off a new mission arc devoted to uncovering who this nemesis is and what its goals are. Finally, in some future update to the game, it would culminate in some sort of task force content.

I like to take your ideas and supersize them. This isn't criticism, it is flattery. I come with nothing but good will and a spirit of team-building. If you take what I write any other way, that is probably just because I wasn't very clear.

That idea would be neat with a Nemesis system. You go down in a mission spawn in a cage somewhere with your Nemesis gloating and then sends in some goons to keep an eye on you as they need to further their Plan. You escape beat them up, get a special Nemesis lead.

Why not take a page from

Why not take a page from Warframe on this? Any time you go into a mission, there's a very low chance (like, 2-3%) that you trigger what's known as an "invasion", in which one of the syndicates you've cheesed off decides to take their pound of flesh. It can also be The Stalker (A tenno that hunts player tenno), the Zanuka (A high-end robot designed for hunting tenno), or the Grustrag Three (A grineer special ops squad meant for hunting Tenno) based on the actions you've taken previously in the game.

The way they handle this is with a "death mark" system. Every time you get a death mark, it gives you the 2.5% chance that one of the three tenno hunters will come after you during the mission in question, so if you really anger a specific faction you can just keep bloody well collecting death marks from them, resulting in a much higher chance they'll show up in a mission. Every time you beat them, you reduce your death mark counter by 1. For syndicate invasions, having very low standing with said syndicate is the equivalent of two or three death marks for how often they may attack you that never goes away until you get your faction standing up.

There can only be one invasion per mission, even if there's multiple players in the mission, but it throws a nice bit of chaos into the works along the way.

An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".

It might be nice if there's an even smaller chance that the nemesis of your nemesis shows up...

Wouldn't the nemesis of your nemesis be you?

What would be nice is if you're teaming with someone your nemesis-es would do a team up also. More people more nemisees get a whole Legion of Doom thing going.

I thought about that and decided to leave it in anyway. I knew it would be too tempting for someone wanting to nitpic.

I like your followup idea. I think both can be summed up that more options and randomness in the nemesis encounters could be cool.

Well thats rude. Atleast show some decency to someone who thinks of you as their mortal enemy.

And then beat them up!
