Ok, indeed, they put the focus on the fortresses and provide unique stories only with the foes. But, it's still nice to see that player will have a unique "story" :)
Will CoT do something like that to make the character story unique ?
I hope so. We know we have :
a sort of nemesis
a choice to be good or evil
choices in our missions
Is there something more ?

From my understanding one could consider each individual story arc to be the equivalent of SoM's fortresses. Even though the final bosses will be the same for each story arc I seem to remember that MWM stated they will have a largeish pool of powers but only select some of them for each encounter so that they don't become that predicable.
Not having a main thread to follow story wise by itself makes a huge step towards creating a personalized story. Include the clue system and choice within the missions (a.k.a alignment system) and you have another big step in that direction.
Nemesis system, well we'll have to wait and see how it pans out but hopefully it'll become an actual dynamic system rather than essentially just a story arc with missions in a mostly random order.
Not sure what else they could add to make ones own "story" unique, they have pretty much every system needed.
While I seriously doubt MWM will have procedurally generated content at launch, I do think that this is very fertile ground for some later game update. I like where you are going with this, TitansCity.
Depending on your alignment, faction reputations, and maybe some dialogue options, the game process would get enough information to tailor a grand story arc unique to you. Nothing is stopping you from bringing other players along with you, because multiple players would merely be an adjustment to the challenge rating of the missions to accomplish. But the missions themselves, and the major NPCs in them would be unique to you, procedurally generated based upon your characteristics and desires.
It would be nice to have some content like this by the time I run my eleventh alt.
The downside is that no matter how well done the procedurally generated content will be, it can never match a cohesively designed story arc, with the drama and tight integration. Its like comparing a procedurally generated map to a custom designed map. And since we will have the Mission Architect for player-generated content, there will probably be no dearth of content to try out, even on our eleventh alt.
[hr]I like to take your ideas and supersize them. This isn't criticism, it is flattery. I come with nothing but good will and a spirit of team-building. If you take what I write any other way, that is probably just because I wasn't very clear.

I don't have lots of ideas but, as Huckleberry said, in a later game update, it could be interesting to have a world which fit with your character story. I mean, the environment could be personnalized in a certain way. Whatever it is in the commun npc chat bubbles spoken about you, a TV screen displaying a documentary on you, or some posters or some statues in town to our effigy to thank what we did, some kids disguised in you to play "good and villains", etc... and of course, just seen by you (instanced).
We could have a mission to obtain our HQ, something "epic" or not considering which way the player wants to go like a great battle ?
I just think there is enougth things which will influent our story (nnaaaa, there is never enougth of that ^^) but, i think that it could be really nice to develop our character in a world in which you let your mark in a way or another. But, maybe it's to difficult to put this kind of thing IG ? But it could really enforced the game pleasure and, after all, are we a hero or not ?? It should not be so common to be a hero ! it's not rare but it's also not common i think ^^

oh okay I think I get what everyone is saying now, the suggestion is to put something like SoW's nemesis system into the game..... I personally think it would be too big, but maybe a smaller size would do better.
