Fight Club: Amerikatt vs COT icon, Rottweiler.

Amerikatt vs COT icon, Rottweiler.
It's raining cats and dogs on the mean streets of Titan city. In a dark alley two opponents meet and do battle.

WHO would win?

Rottweiler might be able to

Rottweiler might be able to drink more beer. If these two buddies decided on a sushi-eating contest, then Amerikatt's extra-dimensional stomach might give her the edge.

They certainly wouldn't Fight!

Be Well!

Very astute, Fireheart! Amerikatt realizes that Rottweiler is just a guy in a costume, so she knows that he is *not* a minion of Dr. Canidae!

Ya. AK's nomming ratio is *quite* legendary (or infamous, if you prefer). While it may seem to the average person that her stomach must be bigger on the inside than on the outside (which is a well-warranted assumption), the truth is even more incredible! She needs to consume something like 20,000 calories per *day* in order to keep the nuclear fires of her tummy fully stoked! She is able to convert 100% of her food into energy!

Since the Earth-T Amerikatt is currently exploring the depth and breadth of the multiverse, I will be comparing Amerikatt of Earth-P and Rottweiler of Earth-T.

As I am unsure of Rottweiler's abilities, I shall have to make generalities about Amerikatt's effects for different groups of adversaries.

It is important to understand that Amerikatt's main powers are psychic in nature [mostly telekinetic], with a few divinely-inspired magicks [healing]). According to the Announcer of ”The Amazing Adventures of Amerikatt” radio program, Amerikatt came to Earth from the planet Kyton, on which lived “a race of super-cats, whose mental and physical powers were developed to the absolute peak of feline perfection”.

Inanimate Objects: Although Amerikatt does not possess Super-Strength per se, she does possess a telekinetic ability which allows her to push any object that she can touch. (What kitty doesn't like to push things?)

Humans (or powerless Aliens): Regular Humans and Aliens are powerless to resist Amerikatt's natural charisma and persuasiveness (after all, who can resist feeding an adorable kitten?).

Metahumans (or powered Aliens): Although Amerikatt does not possess Invulnerability, her highly-developed kitty brain is capable of projecting invisible force shields which protect her from all but the most incredible elemental and kinetic assaults. Although she is also protected against energy attacks, her mental barriers are less prodigious.

Magic and Psionic Users: Amerikatt can generally fend off all but the strongest [boss-level] mental battles. She is more susceptible to magical attacks [50% less protection].

Well it looks like Amerikatt would easily win in a fight with Rotty.

Now a real contest would be

Now a real contest would be Amerikatt vs Rotten Luck in an eating contest.

Both convert 100% of what they eat into energy. Both seem to have an unlimited appetite. It will be an eating contest of the century!

1.) Nothing goes as planned.
2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP

I would like to point out

I would like to point out that the title of this thread is a bit weighed in favor of Rottweiler, despite the fact that Amerikatt is, herself, a CoT icon!

*sage nod*

[Come to think of it, what if the CoT icon is actually AmeriKITTEN?! *ponders* That would explain why she doesn't start out as powerful as Amerikatt and why her abilities might develop in vastly different ways due to her environment and upbringing -- just like the late-Golden/Silver Age Superboy! *ponders some more*]

From what I understand we

From what I understand we have a sentient kitty with the powers akin to either a latern corps or kheldian vs a Batman-like super hero with a Rottweiler theme.

Sooo...has to go to the cat.

Yes. From a CoH mechanics perspective, AK was a non-shapeshifting Kheldian Peacebringer. From an RP perspective, I tried to explain her backstory as being that her mother was hostess to the Kheldian while she was pregnant and that the Kheldian's cosmic energies gave the fetus great abilities which manifested as psychic (telekinetic) ones. This explained how she could move tremendous weights which would cripple even The Hulk!

Despite such great powers, her signature abilities were the healing ones (bestowed by The Great Cat Mother)!

It would appear that only The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl would stand the remotest chance of fighting AK ... to a draw!

AK doesn't actually have super-strength, but her telekinetic abilities allow her to push anything that she can touch.

*purrs loudly and proudly*

*dreams of Mr. Boots ... with Kitty Softpaws*

*extends claws and thrashes about*

Not quite Superman-level, but

Not quite Superman-level, but still *quite* impressive -- Flight (Levitation); Force Shields (Telekinetic Repulsion); Healing (Telekinetic Stimulation of Cells); "Super-Strength" (Telekinesis with Range: Touch), and other fun things which are manifestations of Psychic/Telekinetic abilities!

Oh! And, of course, Super-Charismatic Mental Domination. Naturally, that is an ability inherent in *all* kitties. It's just magnified to a larger extent in Amerikatt!
